Dhafer Youssef - Odd Elegy [drum cover]

- This song by Dhafer Youssef is one of my favorites, so i've naturally decided to do a cover.
For this one, I had to recreate the whole song with virtual instruments, so I was able to play drums over it, and add a little tablas part (because the song's metric and main theme is perfect for improvising over).

@@AdamTheBen Well, the transcription of all instruments took me about 3 or 4 hours, then 2 hours more to recreate all this with virtual instruments, and have a decent sound... :)

Malheureusement c'est moi qui ai créé le backing track avec des VST, et j'ai supprimé le fichier il y a un bon moment...
39/16 mixed metre, right? Or am I extremely far off? From the live performance I watched with Tigran and Guiliana, I notice for the solos it sounds like they're doing 7/16 for three bars then 9/16 for two bars.
But at the start of the song, Mark Guiliana did what you do here with the two bars of 4/4 + 7/16 (39/16 again).
Exactly.
For the piano chorus, the chords are aligning like 3x 7/16 + 2x 9/16.
And for the rest of the song (even the drum solo that I replaced with drums/tabla part), it's easier to think it as 2x 4/4 then 1 bar of 7/16.
