    Super well said bro. I think all the content creators are course correcting a bit back to the longform content that feels more authentic. It’s hard because the algorithm still rewards those super short videos but I’m going to try and keep the long game in mind. This was a great breakdown and vid!

Now, honestly I'm tired of it. I want us as a culture of creators to slow down, tell stories with purpose and just breath for a second, I know that's my goal this year and I am really excited to see what unfolds.

    This is good stuff man. I've always leaned more toward long-form content, so I'm happy to see it moving back toward the middle a bit. Espeically with new features on YT where you can use a Short to direct attention to an associated long-form vid, I think using the vertical stuff to generate awareness and then using the long-form stuff to build relationships is the winning combo.

For the last 3 years, I've been doing short-form content and now I'm finding myself coming back to doing long-form because like you said it builds a stronger connection with the audience.

    I do and have seen the shift heppening for a while now! For me it went all the way back to 2019/2020. Analyzing youtube growing up there have and always are "Phases" EX: 1) OG's, 2) 2013 Careers, 3) Vine Era, 4) Mass Advertisement + TV, and 5) Mr.Beast/business. Every era has lasted its while, but i've been wondering "what is era 6?" and is the MRB era over yet? has it overstayed its welcome? I am excited for what the future holds and how I'll add my piece to it someday.
    Anyways Love from Chicagoland, I'd love to come support at an event or photo/video walk 2024!

    The shift is still moving towards short form content from what I see. I think it will circle back around to long form content eventually but not yet. But again it depends on the type of content. Educational videos are longer by nature. Entertainment videos are quick. I personally look at short form content as advertising or commercials for my brand.

    funny you speak on this. Tiktok brought more value to video. Most people didn't understand video and didn't feel the reason to dump alot of money into one video that gets posted on one platform. Shortform vertical allowed everyday people to see the value in bring a videographer onto their team etc. Now that the phase has leveled out you see people wanting long form content again. Someone that enjoyed that learned how to story tell longform i saw myself like you said adjusting trying to make shortform to be seen. Now in 2024 you just record long form have the AI Reframe throw subs on it and pump out your longform, break it down and just pump it out into sections to get exposure on certain parts of the video. People coming in, at 2020 as videographers going to struggle cause creating longform isn't easy and is harder to turn around unless you a professional. You will see people shifting back to longform while the shortform acts as a hook to real them in. In a world going towards negativity people going to be looking for that real in content creation. If you can harness that you will be special. People need to learn to story tell. It was easy in 2020, 2021, and 22 to post a highquality 10 sec clip with a trending sound now you gotta get creative. Good luck the best will rise people that don't adjust won't get the reach like they use to.

  • @dnkswole
    @dnkswole 8 месяцев назад

    Ofc we are all tired of this short content ! The storytelling is so limited, the cosy talk, the lack of authenticity. Everything is so fast, and all those trend... its frustrating for all the creator who like slow paced content. And i dont even talk about the Vertical format vs 16:9. So this feeling of shifting, is definitely something i will support.

    I used to watch RUclips a lot, then started to watch tiktok in late 2020 until now and my attention span is so short now when I hop over to RUclips. But lately I’ve been feeling burnt from short from content and I’m back to watching longer videos on RUclips from creators I used to watch before 2020 and new creators I’ve found on tik tok.
    And I agree with all the comments here. Being authentic is key. A lot of the same content over and over gets boring so when someone’s being different they seem to stick out more

This is allowing people to really relate and actual build almost a friendship with their favourite creators.

    I have definitely noticed a shift. There seems to be some space for low-budget creators like myself to build an audience, however small. On TikTok there was space for a hobbyist like myself to build a modest (50k) following, and a small (600) following on my story account on RUclips. Growth on RUclips does still depend on making higher quality videos, both in production quality and quality of content. I am hoping that as my editing skills grow along with my ability to create more engaging content, that I will be able to grow my account even more.

    I think content creators like yourself and others who have the fan base and followers/subscribers.. once you hit your peek, you start getting sponsors and really making money from being a creator, I feel some should start mentoring and bringing other people behind you all up,, a lot of creators forget about the people behind them. There’s a lot of up and coming creators that need support from the ones that’s out here doing it now. Those who figured out the algorithm, teach the next ones so we can keep the creator game on lock.. I never see that in this community. All I see if creators trying to to charge others for the skill set.
