Dr. Apoki, you are doing a great public service to the people, particularly the Nigerians. Thank you very much. Please keep going. Nigerians need you particularly at this difficult and uncertain time in Nigeria.

Poverty caused by the political class is this primary cause of this disaster.
If a woman or man has enough food in their houses they will not take their children to a place with crowd because of food.
Poverty in the land is killing more people than we give credit for.

    Dr Charles Apoki
Your wisdom is always awesome. You are a great asset to civil society. Honestly the civil society is now the only hope for Nigeria because government in Nigeria in a lot of areas just exist by name. We need to let the youth know they have to farm or learn a skill to empower themselves

Thank you for this very educative content.
To forestall the recurrence of such unfortunate incidents.
I believe that our country needs to come up with standardized crowd management strategies to forestall such incidents.

Dr, thank you for discussing this matter. My curiosity is how could such a big event take place without the government being involved?
Secondly, where is her risk assessment to safeguard lives?
This is very sad. Lessons are never learnt. I pray to God that these families get justice and this woman should be banned from organising events.

Indeed, organizing this kind of thing in a big city like Ibadan and not expecting that more than 5 thousand kids will show up in this time of extreme hunger is bone headed.

@@drcharlesapoki, Are prophetess and her group of prophets NOT supposed to, to see and pray against/avert these dangers, at the programme/event. ?
Are other prophets, that give yearly prophecies in Christiandom /other churches and ministries NOT SUPPOSED TO “ SEE” AND PRAY TO AVERT THESE DEATH OF CHILDREN ?
What type of Christianity do we practice in Nigeria “ man of god” “ woman of god “ etc !!

An opinion: The Bonkey incidents are quite different. His were due to reactions from evil territorial forces, not hunger or job interview. Otherwise, there could have been much casualties when similar and larger crusades were held in Abuja and lagos.
This stampede is a reflection of severe hardship and desperation and as well a sample of ill incidents yet to occur.
Anyway, my condolences to the bereaved families!

The tragedy is truly heartbreaking, and it shows the implications of inadequate planning. Hopefully, in the future, considering the appointment of a professional event management agency will ensure the seamless organization and coordination of large gatherings in order to avoid any accident that would cause harm and result into losses of life.

I don't blame the organisers entirely, I blame the government. Why? It is government responsibility to put regulations in place for these kind of things so that organisers will adhere to those regulations. If there are none people will do things the way they seems fit

We do not value our African lives.
Others do not value African lives.
30 children died in Nigeria without attracting a mention in foreign press.
If a child goes missing in UK, EUROPE or AMERICA. their country would be shut down - until that child is found DEAD or ALIVE.
    I weep for my people.
