Kinda annoyed rob didn't really go into detail with the investigation of poppet "leaving" because if there are multiple poppets then it's up to rob if they have 1 of each individual role, for example the poppet that lead them around like to her viewing box could actually move between points wuere they drop down, but other outfits are other poppets. Or that each time poppet drops down to talk to them, it's always a different poppet at each individual spot. Because if a poppet can move around, then you could get one poppet to move somewhere else and not able to know what is happening. But if instead each drop is a new poppet then even if your lure an outfit away there would still be one above where you tried to lure from. They did try to find that detail out.

That will be given to new owner if recovered, includes a couple undefined hammers. "That's my grandfather's hammer, i got that when i was gone!"

This lined up so perfectly for the characters to be recapping their adventure story exactly on the 100th episode! And in a way that made perfect sense and would've happened whether it was the 100th episode or not!

100 episodes, what a ride! A year ago, I didn't even know D&D exist. Fast forward to today, this channel has become part of my Thursday routine -I definitely never reschedule meetups and work calls just so I can watch each episode after it goes live- Thank you to the VLDL team for creating such a beautiful world and fleshing out characters that were originally born as a mere gag. Rob, man, you really should write a book someday because your storytelling proweness is on another level. Also, big preesh to your VFX and costume design team. I just returned from a month long visit to my family, you now have 5 kids aged 6-11 HOOKED on this channel. I apparently have them hooked on Epic NPC man also. Hello, VLDL. I know you are very busy people, but I hope you stop for a moment to read this, as it is a situation close to my heart. I would just like to say, I have been watching this series since The Isolation Games, I have been here from day 1. Thank you for the journey, and a huge congratulations on your 100th episode. My father and I have been watching since the beginning, and when he was struck and hospitalised from additional complications from Covid 19, we continued to watch. We came to a realisation that we had slowly lost touch with all our old D&D buddies (I'm a fully committed DM, and the best one for a DM in our regular group) and so you helped us re-ignite our spark for D&D. You inspired us to reach out to our old campaign buddies and start again. 18 months later, our new campaign is going strong, with us meeting up for at least 2 hours on a Saturday evening, and any time through the week where we are all free. As a knock on effect, my father and I are now closer together through the fact that we have built time into our busy schedule to meet up and create time for this wonderful game. I had forgotten the magic and fun (and drama!) that it can bring through a little imagination and determination. I would just like to say a big thank you to all of you for enabling this. If we had never watched this, I do not think our passion for this game would have been re-ignited in the way that it has. I shared these videos with our D&D crew, and they all had the same sentiment: "We really need to get back into this" and that's how it all started. I can not thank you guys enough for developing these videos, and giving us the inspiration and determination to start our D&D campaign once again. VLDL, you are awesome! Long time subscriber, first time poster. It is amazing to see you guys hit this 100th episode milestone. It's been incredible to watch your characters develop throughout your adventure, and no one has done such a great effort to also film the scenes your characters play through. It is an understatement of how much I want to thank you guys for continuing this campaign. Out of all the D&D campaigns I have watched, yours by far takes the the #1 spot in entertainment. Rob is truly a GM legend! The world building is incredible, based solely on the storys created by VLDL to make auch a rich and interesting landscape beyond the usual areas seen in the comedy skits! Sitting down to watch these sessions is my favourtie part of the week, cant wait to see where B&TDHs end in the next 100 eps!!!!

Also, whenever you're discussing a plan, in a building where puppet familiars can move inside the ceiling and the walls, ALWAYS assume that the walls and ceiling have ears. It's very likely that they can't read, but maybe she can see through their eyes.... Maybe her one weakness is that she has trouble foreseeing the immediate future and changes in it

I must say, Rob as a puppet is probably going to be the creepiest character he'll ever play in this series. Hat's off to him. Also, love the series, congratulations on 100 episodes. Already have a few characters I love to try out. Can't wait to see what the future brings. Edit and after second watch: 28:45 the hag doesn't like spiders. Ben that has a character that can cast infestation and a son that can turn into any creature: "What's a good plan here?" Other Players: "Yea, this is a real tricky situation. We like to do this without bloodshed, but can't just make her fear us." Adam with the ability to cast allusions: "I can cast something, but not sure what to cast." Rob: either evil grin or internal screaming. Like I said, love the series.
I wonder if Rob managed to somehow predict what part of table session will be the 100th episode and put some of those well known for 100th episodes rewind/memories/nostalgia of what has been acomplished.
Yes and No. I knew at the start of this table session we would be starting around episode 96 and then I worked forwards and guessed we would be around ep 100 here ish, but a lot of it was happy coincidence too.
Rob did so well in this episode. He is absolutely incredible. The voices, story telling, build up, plot twists. He is so incredibly skilled, talented and creative!

I absolutely love this series. I'm especially invested in Greg. Although the rest of the characters grew and developed, he was often left behind. it's great seeing his character fleshing out more fully.

I lost track of time, we hung out in chat, I learned who does the subtitles... this was a simple episode, and still filled the time without feeling like it was wasted. The results have almost always been the same whether they planned or Bodger just took the initiative and decided to take action. This is to all of you guys, and Rob in particular for me as a DM. (For a little over a year now) First: Wait! No! The cliffhanger! Noooooo! Haha man, that is a tough one to wait out. Cannot wait to see what they do! This has been an amazing journey for all that follow you guys on RUclips. And secondly: Rob, as a DM but also as a person, you have inspired me to do more for my friends that play as my parties in my games. Every time I see those faces light up with happiness after fights, or anger when something happened to their favorite NPC etc... that makes my week. Your awesome skills and inspiring character gave me the energy to pull myself through lockdowns and almost falling into a depression because I could not do anything I loved. But then I saw the start of this campaign and the way you did all of it, voices and all... I wanted that. For me AND my future players. So then I just called up my 3 best friends, girlfriend and my younger brother and within a few months from now... they will he fighting Tiamat herself. I am almost crying typing this, because I am truly thankful for the energy you put into these sessions, because it rubbed off onto me. You 5 people REALLY changed my life during that (sorry... I can't stop thinking about the tragedy mask and the the supposed end of the play. But who would face the tragedy? Guys or Endelynn? Also I admire Rob in all this troupe's roles. He is so mannered and natural at the same time! P.S. the idea if performing all their story is great regardless of how it will end
Rob was correct about "panniers" being components of the dress, though Ben is also correct that "paneer", as it is often written in English, is a type of soft cheese popular in Indian cuisine.
The self-realization that they're all murderhobos is so indicative of their personalities. BOB actively revels in the bloodshed. Bodger is oblivious to anything he's done cause he can only focus on the hammer. Baradun acting like this is all normal. And then Greg. Poor Greg.
I started watching this series just under 2 years ago when I was on deployment, here I am back overseas and I haven’t missed a single episode. It’s genuinely become my favorite thing to watch, and I’m so glad I found it when I did. Certainly gives me something to look forward to. Thank you for all the laughs VLDL, it was amazing couple of years, here’s to another 100!
Congrats on #100! Great episode, the green screens were hilarious. I liked watching them make their plan more and more convoluted, and that they were catching how each piece of it was probably not going to work. Big props to them for realizing and scrapping it and coming up with a much better plan. I was getting more excited as it went on and now I *really* can't wait to see how this play goes.

The bit where Bob talks to the hag and has internal/external monologue reminds me a lot of Tim Minchins "Angry(feet)" and I just expected him to scream ASHTRAY at some point. Amazing episode, I had goosebumps several times, redemption ark play was the best decision you bunch could have made. After 100 episodes, let me say that Rob is probably one of the best DM's I've ever seen. I played with a very good one myself a long time ago as well and the DM is crucial and Rob is excellent. He is creative and his voices and impressions are great. He really holds it all together and is creative and I love the series. It is not relevant to the concept of D&D but I had some emotional/biochemical problems (which are being addressed through hormones) and I literally had never laughed out loud or cheered at sports etc. in my life (I once said to my therapist, "I think I am broken, my emotions only go up to 7") The first time I ever laughed out loud was watching an episode of this series!
I'm literally following this series from day 1. It's pretty much perfect. Thanks you for giving me a good relief in the middle of my stressful week. You put smile on my face, so I can go on. Please, do not stop!!!

I like seeing how Rob weaves a pre-written campaign into a home-brew/already existing campaign. I love Critical Role, and I’ve learned a lot from Matthew Mercer, but *this* fits the style of my own home games much more. I love it.

Kinda annoyed rob didn't really go into detail with the investigation of poppet "leaving" because if there are multiple poppets then it's up to rob if they have 1 of each individual role, for example the poppet that lead them around like to her viewing box could actually move between points wuere they drop down, but other outfits are other poppets.
Or that each time poppet drops down to talk to them, it's always a different poppet at each individual spot.
Because if a poppet can move around, then you could get one poppet to move somewhere else and not able to know what is happening.
But if instead each drop is a new poppet then even if your lure an outfit away there would still be one above where you tried to lure from.
They did try to find that detail out.
Speaking of favorite minor characters, whatever happened to Jasper the Jailor?
I think Rob's portrayal of them is a huge factor here... nightmare fuel for sure haha

Also his wife is probably riding Bailin's rod, so he will probably have a quest to 'put him with the fishes' or something. (This is a dark version of greg the players will find once he returns)

As a GM myself I fully sympathise with Rob. Sometimes it's like herding cats trying to keep players even vaguely on track.
I've had a group stuck on one spot for 4 sessions now because they've just refused to go do the thing I've told them to do over and over and over and over again lol. Players are the wurst.
I will say though, he hasn't had to invoke the unskipable cutscene in quite a while 😂

I just want you to know how grateful I am. I suffer from borderline, depression, PTSD and very strong social anxiety because of which I can hardly leave my apartment and you still manage to light up my dark world and give me a reason to laugh and be happy and being able to forget my many problems for a while, which gives me a lot of strength to fight my inner demons and fears and helps me not to give up. I am incredibly grateful for that.

Hello, VLDL. I know you are very busy people, but I hope you stop for a moment to read this, as it is a situation close to my heart.
I would just like to say, I have been watching this series since The Isolation Games, I have been here from day 1. Thank you for the journey, and a huge congratulations on your 100th episode.
My father and I have been watching since the beginning, and when he was struck and hospitalised from additional complications from Covid 19, we continued to watch. We came to a realisation that we had slowly lost touch with all our old D&D buddies (I'm a fully committed DM, and the best one for a DM in our regular group) and so you helped us re-ignite our spark for D&D.
You inspired us to reach out to our old campaign buddies and start again. 18 months later, our new campaign is going strong, with us meeting up for at least 2 hours on a Saturday evening, and any time through the week where we are all free.
As a knock on effect, my father and I are now closer together through the fact that we have built time into our busy schedule to meet up and create time for this wonderful game.
I had forgotten the magic and fun (and drama!) that it can bring through a little imagination and determination.
I would just like to say a big thank you to all of you for enabling this. If we had never watched this, I do not think our passion for this game would have been re-ignited in the way that it has. I shared these videos with our D&D crew, and they all had the same sentiment: "We really need to get back into this" and that's how it all started.
I can not thank you guys enough for developing these videos, and giving us the inspiration and determination to start our D&D campaign once again.

Rob is truly a GM legend! The world building is incredible, based solely on the storys created by VLDL to make auch a rich and interesting landscape beyond the usual areas seen in the comedy skits! I wonder if Rob managed to somehow predict what part of table session will be the 100th episode and put some of those well known for 100th episodes rewind/memories/nostalgia of what has been acomplished.

Yes and No. I knew at the start of this table session we would be starting around episode 96 and then I worked forwards and guessed we would be around ep 100 here ish, but a lot of it was happy coincidence too.

I absolutely love this series. I'm especially invested in Greg. Although the rest of the characters grew and developed, he was often left behind. it's great seeing his character fleshing out more fully.

37:35 this moment right here makes me so happy as a player of dnd. Not once in 12 campaigns have i ever been allowed to even attempt something like this. All my creative attempts to do something like this have been stifled or quashed outright. tldr i live vicariously through this group and this moment gave me great joy in something i always wanted to do.
I can not thank you all enough for this series and the amazing work that you all put into it. Every week on Thursday I wake up to Viva La Dirt League DnD and it is always a great start to the day! Yeah. Yes. 100%. This felt great. I lost track of time, we hung out in chat, I learned who does the subtitles... this was a simple episode, and still filled the time without feeling like it was wasted. Everything moved something along, the greenscreen bits added a lot of contextual value alongside little bits of detail. This was exactly perfect, and 0% combat. Note to self: I liked Bodgers plan of just taking action instead of planning for everything. The results have almost always been the same whether they planned or Bodger just took the initiative and decided to take action.
Moving forward, I say Bodger is the voice for the group so the team can progress more quickly.

Rob, as a DM but also as a person, you have inspired me to do more for my friends that play as my parties in my games. Every time I see those faces light up with happiness after fights, or anger when something happened to their favorite NPC etc... that makes my week.
Your awesome skills and inspiring character gave me the energy to pull myself through lockdowns and almost falling into a depression because I could not do anything I loved. But then I saw the start of this campaign and the way you did all of it, voices and all... I wanted that. For me AND my future players. So then I just called up my 3 best friends, girlfriend and my younger brother and within a few months from now... they will he fighting Tiamat herself.
I am almost crying typing this, because I am truly thankful for the energy you put into these sessions, because it rubbed off onto me. You 5 people REALLY changed my life during that (sorry... FUCKING) pandemic.

Rob was correct about "panniers" being components of the dress, though Ben is also correct that "paneer", as it is often written in English, is a type of soft cheese popular in Indian cuisine.
The self-realization that they're all murderhobos is so indicative of their personalities. BOB actively revels in the bloodshed. Bodger is oblivious to anything he's done cause he can only focus on the hammer. Baradun acting like this is all normal. And then Greg. Poor Greg.
To be fair, Bob’s the only true murderhobo. Greg & Bodger have homes they’re trying to get back to. Technically, so does Baradun.
I think Bob is the only one with a true conscience. He was the only one to take up for Kettlesteam. He is best of Rogue/ Warlock.
I started watching this series just under 2 years ago when I was on deployment, here I am back overseas and I haven’t missed a single episode. It’s genuinely become my favorite thing to watch, and I’m so glad I found it when I did. Certainly gives me something to look forward to. Thank you for all the laughs VLDL, it was amazing couple of years, here’s to another 100!

Congrats on #100! Great episode, the green screens were hilarious. I liked watching them make their plan more and more convoluted, and that they were catching how each piece of it was probably not going to work. Big props to them for realizing and scrapping it and coming up with a much better plan. I was getting more excited as it went on and now I *really* can't wait to see how this play goes.

Those are not Footlong subs, at all! There is so much detail in this episode and #99 that I love! Bob being Dancemom is already great but the fact he can't act just makes it perfect, living your dream through your offspring because you are talentless, we've all met a dancemom at some point!

This is by far my favourite DnD show I've ever watched. You all do such a good job making your characters come to life, and Rob does such a good job managing you all, making interesting scenarios, and running this whole thing

The bit where Bob talks to the hag and has internal/external monologue reminds me a lot of Tim Minchins "Angry(feet)" and I just expected him to scream ASHTRAY at some point.
Amazing episode, I had goosebumps several times, redemption ark play was the best decision you bunch could have made. I watched almost everything you guys made, but these series are just the top and I look forward to them every week. Merry 100th and many more! Cheers to you all!

After 100 episodes, let me say that Rob is probably one of the best DM's I've ever seen. I played with a very good one myself a long time ago as well and the DM is crucial and Rob is excellent. He is creative and his voices and impressions are great. He really holds it all together and is creative and I love the series.
It is not relevant to the concept of D&D but I had some emotional/biochemical problems (which are being addressed through hormones) and I literally had never laughed out loud or cheered at sports etc. in my life (I once said to my therapist, "I think I am broken, my emotions only go up to 7") The first time I ever laughed out loud was watching an episode of this series!
Repeating the introduction from the first episode was such a great moment
