Thank you! You could have saved this and exchanged it with collectors or given it to mediocre companies but you chose to give it to the public, really thank you, you are a great.
Yes indeed, one of the rare videos and I guess this is the best one I have found, as regards Slade and lets call it quits -- others are o'k. but this is more favorite to me. My youthful memories !!
This is awesome i was 16 when this was recorded 51 years later still sounds brilliant now into the Foo Fighters, Metallica etc but Slade give could 'em a run for their money
SLADE..always go out there way to have a great time wherever they are Red Nose or not there always out to entertain.. simply luv ya !!! Slade.. Noddy & the Boyz. 👍
What a great Song ...never heard of this..sounds a little bit like I hear you knocking by Dave Edmunds ( Guitar and Rhythm ) !! ❤ Thank's so much for uploading this incredible Song !!
You did have the missing Slade performance! The first two performances from that show are not just rare they are unique! New TOTP finds are extremely rare these days.
Yes... Thanks to you I took another look at the tape, I posted the LJ Johnson track originally thinking that everyone would would already know this one!
@@vhsrewinds The only other copy of this show is held by Kaleidoscope and that starts about when The Glitter Band is on. The beginning had a Sally James interview recorded over the top. They would probably like to borrow your tape to fill the gap in the archive.
This is one of the holy grails of missing Slade footage and only narrowly missed getting on the ' 100 Most Wanted Lost TOTP performances' list. It also means that only one performance from the edition is missing (a promo film!). Where did you find this??????? Wonderful stuff. Was it a domestic recording on N1500 or similar?
@@vhsrewinds If this is VHS and sourced from Europe, that would suggest it was from a re-run of this episode that was broadcast sometime after 1977. The first VHS recorders were released about seven months after the original UK tx of this episode.
@@markofsaltburn The original owner of the tape traded with people in the UK from 1980 onwards and this tape was one of six or seven that contained only UK recordings and are unique from other tapes in the collection in the way they were labelled.
Another one of my favorite SLADE songs without a doubt. they had to be lip syncing the lyrics? because do you know what it's like to sing with something on you're nose? if not chock it up to Noddy Holder being a fantastic vocalist. which there's no doubt of that. SLADE was one of best Rock and Roll groups of all time.
I'm nobody's fool,coz i luv Slade!!!
Love playing this track……I go through most of their albums, just playing along on my guitar…simply the best band ever…..in my opinion…thanks guys..
Thank you! You could have saved this and exchanged it with collectors or given it to mediocre companies but you chose to give it to the public, really thank you, you are a great.
One of my favourite Slade songs. I like those later ones like this, In For A Penny, Nobodies Fool etc.
Yeah them guys sure done sum great tunes,
And, of course, Mama Weer All Crazee Now.
Pity Slade didn't get the Copyright on the Red Noise Promotion.
Нет равных.. Slade навсегда!
Thanks for uploading this rare clip, great memories, much appreciated.

A strangely subdued performance from Slade. Great to see though; thanks for posting.

Thankyou for this upload. Seconded that if you could kindly upload the full show it would be much appreciated. Thank you in advance.
Great thanks
A decade before Red Nose Day and comic relief
Apart from that this is very good
Brilliant. Thanks for sharing. Would love to see the Glitter Band clip if possible.
Next week... I'll try and stretch the attention out a bit... Didnt realise how popular this would be.
Thanks. Much appreciated.
Brilliant! Thank you so much for sharing it!

@@trevorwest65 I have the complete episode starts at the chart rundown number 28 and finishes at the end credits

I like this album !
It was the last interesting album ( for me ), and then there were separate songs !
На мою думку 😉
❤
I've always loved this band. They're a very "loveable" band. (Noddy Holder looks like Billy Connolly in this. He's only "missing" the beard.)
Голос !!!
Нодди здесь очень хорошо выглядит
Cool video. Sadly, as usual on TOTP they were synching to the studio version but cool nonetheless.
Anything from TOTP 05/02/1976 ?
This is the only episode from that year I have unfortunately, but I'm always looking for more.
Good to see, not sure everyone got the red nose joke, tbh Quits was one of the weaker tracks on the NF album for me.
Join the Slade forum
You have to post the link otherwise people won't be able find it.
