    The core of the Assad troops are Alawites, and they are retreating back to their tribal areas in Latakia to protect their families and clans. The rest of the Syrian government army aren't a match for the rebels.

    Iraqi, Afghanistan, Syrian troops don’t want to fight. They would rather run or being captured as I have been observing over the years during the wars in Middle East and W Asia. Maybe it their culture not to fight. Parties are more fun than fighting.

      No, it's in their culture to fight for the Hamulla or tribe, not for their nation which is an arbitrary designatio, usually with a warlord in control. When the leadership scapegoats and never take responsibility and your commanders command with fear and intimidation instead of respect, soliders are not motivated to fight.       Can it be because it is always an advanced melitent armies againist unarmed civilians so they prefere protecting their families and get armed and then get back to fight and that was always the case in all of the countries you mentioned.
      As it is not the case it is in europe and america that civilians can have their own guns it is baned all over the country so if your own army is fighing you and also more advanced armies of other countries joined as well i guess you wont have much choises to do right ?

    In india we perform fire worship(Yagna) to purify the land.
    I personally feel that the Syrian government must do this with the help of Vedic pandits.
    Other religious Practices may not be helpful. Please take the help of vedic Scholars

    Assad's approach is quite different from Zelensky's, you will not see a bakhmut style of defense that results in unnecessary casualties. remember the rebels had a foothold all over the country including the capital Damascus, but he managed to fight them off. his response will be harsh and brutal to those fighting him.

      Assad doesn't have an approach. He only has defeat. Aleppo is the 2nd largest city in Syria. That Assad lost Aleppo so easily indicates he has nothing with which to fight the rebels.
