I can't decide if Coils was trying to help, mistakenly locked the panel behind Colt due to bad motor control, and tried to give the phone to an employee for help, OR if he was malicious, trapped him on purpose, and pretended to be sad after. Either way a super good story!! Poor Colton got did so dirty. Poor kid, and his poor mother/cousin too
Slight spoilers ahead: So am I the only one wondering why he didn't just take the game system the first time he was in the arcade messing up with the machine? I mean . . . he was already there after hours and would have gotten into trouble anyway, might as well steal the game system he wanted and be done with it that night. 😕
He wanted justice and the world to be fair If he stole the prize the game would still be unfair, and he would’ve committed a crime for selfish reasons, not for the greater good

And hide and seeks mc could totally get some tickets for jumps mc considerimg how good at the games he is. I'm just saying they would be great friends.
It kinda reminds me of that one Disney attraction America sings see it was made the same way as the carousel of progress but the problem is while COP went one way AS went the other and when AS spined it was actually dangerous and then because of that a female worker was crushed to death between the moveing panels
You think when they finally discover him they just label him as some creep who hide under the trampoline like game like he had a stepping fetish. He was staring at the game creepyly all week all you need is one kid to say something. He had none of the tools inside the machine everything was outside and he only had a flashlight. I figured out the ending when he was like he needed to go deeper

What happened was Colton died and possesses coils. That's why he's so sad. He even hugs his cousin.
Colton was an asshole to everyone lol and he died due to his obsession. Especially after his interactions with Aaron, I'd say this is well deserved

My dad died when I was 10 so I understand that rage, I didn't start healing until 3 years later
5 minutes into the story and I'm like yea this guy is a prime candidate for Freddyverse treatment
This is probably my favorite story of the book and in my top 5
Colton's death is so damn brutal and it somehow reminds me of kokichi's death in Danganronpa v3 where he also get crushed like a pancake

Dang that one was sad :( I just finished reading it. I know the storys are sad and gruesome but that one hit me different.
