So the snowman's hat isn't just a hat, and it's not some magical item that brings him to life like Frosty. The hat is where his brain and eyes are. His body will literally not function at all unless he has the hat.
So...the hat is basically Arktos, then? Like's he's not a snowman. He's a hat with a snowman's body. This raises questions. Like, is his personality dictated by what body he takes over? If one body is destroyed, will he also be destroyed, or will that only happen if the hat's destroyed.
In one episode we briefly saw his snowman body *completely* melt into a puddle of water but he was still talking, the hat still expressing and he was fine in the very next scene, so that seems to be all but confirmed. It may be however that the hat can only control snow as a body. Weirder still we also have the confirmation that his carrot nose allows him to smell, as long as the carrot is fresh. Weird ass magic going on with this snow golem.
This scene from the movie makes it look like it's the hat, but there's a scene of Humsin sneezing and causing Arktos's hat to fall on James's head (season 2, "The Big Freeze"). The hat just had holes for his eyes, but the movie came out later so idk.
@@Arkxyzthat was just an animation error in Season 2, Arktos’ eyes has always been part of his hat. That error was fixed in Season 3 and Tabaluga and Leo.
