A Winter Weather Advisory is in place for most of central Iowa until 3pm Thursday.
A Weather Impact Alert is in place for Thursday morning. Expect slick conditions for your morning commute.
Snow moves in from the west through Thursday morning providing slick driving conditions. Snow exits the metro around 3 p.m. but holds onto southeastern counties through about 6 p.m. A band of 2-4" seems likely somewhere between Highway 30 and Highway 34 with lesser amounts both north and south.
Temperatures peak in the upper 20s north to mid-30s south on a north wind at 5-15 mph.
