Finally I'm proud to present another AMV! Last AMV this year. Probably this one is the longest I have been working on since I started my editing career. I started this AMV in ~2015 and then dropped as my laptop died together with all files. I decided to restart in late 2017 (yes... had to remask everything once again..) but guess that was worth to push myself in the end as I am quite happy with the final result. Obviously here and there could have been done better but that's ok I guess? As well as I was dreaming to solo participate in lets say.. 'more serious' contest since 2010 but I kept finding excuses in order to not finish my project(s). Neither I thought I had enough experience to give a birth to something 'decent'.
I guess I should be more thankful to one person. If not that editor, I probably would never challenge myself to complete (or even think) to do this kind of video. In 2012 she asked me to collaborate with her using this kind of style. That was something 'wow' to me and I never thought I would be able to finish at least one part. But I love masking, guess that's why I found it more interesting to carry on working on it? You have probably seen our "Dressin' Up" (links will be below). Also, not to mention the fact that I got some inspiration from "Say WTF".
I was very excited when I finally finished it. I hope you will enjoy it as much as I do :) Also, how many silhouettes can you guess? Probably all haha. I swear, I stopped watching anime ages ago, so most of overused scenes you probably guessed.

When I first started it I was thinking okay yea it's something different but the black and white silhouettes are kind of plain...and then I took back those words by the time I reached the chorus. The flickering to the chorus with the girl running was a really nice part and I realized the charm in this style and AMV. I am proud of what I do with my AMVs but things like this are commendable since many (including myself) just can't create something good like this.
I may have thought it was plain but AMVs are art and you've shown what can be done when effort and care are applied to your work. Sucks that this was out for a year yet only racked up as many views as it did. Too many AMVs deserve the limelight but they get lost in the overflow of everything else.
Keep making AMVs.

WOW. Well… That is really interesting… The way you push, force the viewers brain to fill the missing parts. I mean…. See, there are plenty os psychological experiments like these, where they show you something completely senseless, and then something which is obvious, and after you see the sensless see again, you are seeing the obvious one in it. It is truely genius how you picked these scenes. These scenes we all know very well, and even if the music is so "colorful", and dynamic, we can see the original scenes. Our brains have to work, in order to truely appreciate this work. It's not about masking only. It is that it's a whole new experience among AMV view-ing.
Anyways, even if you didn't do it on purpose, well done, and good luck!
