This band is criminally underrated.
Travis Bickle not really. They make very great amount of views without falling in the too « popular » side of metal music. It’s a great balance; a lot of genuine fans, and not much else. If they get more popular than this H&M will probably approach them for a contract aha

Check out Haggard (expecially the Eppur si Muove album), they'll blow your mind. More of an old-school/less technical DM, but the finest orchestrations in metal I've ever heard.

Well, this is not really death metal to be honnest :-). Fleshgod Apocalypse is closer to death metal than Septicflesh is, but concerning guitars playing none of them really plays death metal, orchestral or not.

The best band, always revealing the most unsettling and repugnant aspects of humanity through their art. As expected, they have proven their absolute ability to combine two antithetical musical aspects into one perfectly powerful and grossly sophisticated symbiotic masterpiece. I really do think this is my favorite song, and this video is pretty intense too! A common theme with Septicflesh, mankind simply has a woeful addiction to bowing its head in subservience to the brainwashing elite. Giving in to the Machiavellian masters, so many have lost their ability to be skeptics and question all that must be questioned, we are creatures of knowledge. Thank you Septicflesh for feeding my soul; Codex Omega has been an immense delight, and will only get better each time I listen!

This is a pretty common theme because it's happening in today's societies. It's important that we remain skeptical and continue to think for ourselves, question what we see and hear. This video is about us losing this and giving in to a mysterious disconnected leader that also cannot think for itself (let alone think for us!!!) -
Also - I think the ending represents the destruction of the leader commanding the mindless, and if one is unable to break away from the mind control they will also be destroyed right along with their masters. Essentially the destruction of a 'society'.

Septicflesh to this day is still my favorite metal band. When I first heard ‘The vampire of Nazareth’ when it came out, I nearly lost it. My feelings have not changed 🖤 the growling, the layered depths of the music, paired with the vast array of cleverly played instruments. Insatiable.

I guess the lyrics are about ideology and politics. The suit without a head paints a solid picture of a man whos only worth is in his occupation. It's not only about politics tho. Political leaders dont need to have a seat in an institution. Thats where ideology plays its role.

All 4 songs so far are really well made once again and the magical Septic Flesh music apparently still remains glorious and really close to perfection.I believe that this completed them as an orchestral death metal band,since they really found a great balance between the two kinds of music,it shall be their opus magnum and blast them to the top of the metal charts of the year.Hail Septicflesh!!

I started listening to these guys a couple of years ago and I think they are one of the best metal bands overall. I had the pleasure to see them a few months ago in Portland and they were amazing.

Θελω να εκφρασω τον θαυμασμο μου για αυτο το συγκροτημα, που απλο συγκροτημα δεν ειναι. Η αληθεια ειναι οτι δεν ξερω τιποτα απο μουσικη εκτος απο το να την ακουω. Αυτο που ακουσα σε αυτον τον δισκο (κατι που υπηρχε φυσικα και στους προηγουμενους αλλα ισως σε μεγαλυτερο βαθμο σε αυτον) ειναι η απιστευτη πολυπλοκοτητα του καθε κομματιου οχι απλως επειδη περιεχει την ορχηστρα αλλα και ο τροπος που συνδεονται ολα μεταξυ τους ειναι τοσο περιτεχνος. Ολα τα κομματια ειναι τοσο συνθετα, επικα και ενδιαφεροντα ,στο δικο μου αυτι τουλαχιστον, που δεν γινεται να βαρεθεις ευκολα να τα ακους (οπως συνεβη και με τα προηγουμενα φυσικα). Οι ανθρωποι κανουν εξαιρετικη δουλεια τοσο απο αποψη μουσικης οσο και απο αποψη στιχων. Καλλιτεχνες επαναστατικοι και μοναδικοι.
