LOL glad I'm not the only one that was shaking my head watching him do that!! He walks by the beat of his own drum.. but that's one of things I love most about him.

I just got braces for the first time on the 5th of this month and it has been something I’ve always wanted but certain circumstances did not allow me to have them when I was younger. I’m trying 27 in a 2 days and I’m just fully embracing this experience. God is so good with His timing and I’m soo thankful to go through this journey where I am now in life! It’s been 3 weeks and I’m finally able to chew and eat more normally. I probably would have been able to do so sooner but a week and a half in, they put in spacers which was to me worse than than the braces! I do feel like a baby/toddler/kid when I eat because I have to cut things up and I eat so much slower but I’m slowly able to eat faster and take bigger bits.
Also there’s no good time to get braces (food wise) but getting them around the holidays has been so hard because I can’t eat everything I want!
I’m so glad to see that y’all are going through this journey around the same time as I am! We are about to have some good smiles in a little bit!

Looks like we get to walk this journey together! I love your attitude. Embrace it girl. My go to motto is -- Act confident and no one will question you! (Thank you @SarahsDay)
Praying you were able to enjoy the holidays, despite having to be conscious of your food selections. Yes & AMEN to that! We are well on our way to straighter smiles ;)

Have you got the parts when you put off the cheek retractor? Min. 3:16 and 4:15..i have to get braces on soon and I’m very scared of that and I’m curious to see your first reaction at braces on..please..

Hi there Awa! I don't have a video of them taking the cheek retractor out, however I can assure you it doesn't hurt. Honestly, it didn't hurt getting them put on! The pain I felt was hours after getting them on and it was just a little discomfort and tenderness from my teeth starting to move. Tylenol was my best friend for about 4 days! Other than that, it's not been bad at all :) You'll do great!

We considered it, but love the low profile of the ceramics! Didn't want to look entirely different ;)

@@amberlynndaughtrey haha I’m glad yours are low profile most ceramic brackets are bulkier than metal!

You are one hundred percent correct. Metal are faster healthier and produce better results because of the many add ons they allow. They allow finer tuning for best results and do not break like ceramics. The big thing is that Cetamics are very visible and become more so when on longer. The bottom line on braces is that proper orthodontic work will never be invisible. Lest we forget elastics almost always are used and they show. There should be no other braces but all metal . Others a waste expensive and give poor results overall and overtime. I speak freely because I am fully banded large metal 3 yrs at age 67. Possible hg too. Trying badly to avoid the headgear I must admit. Put the pedal to the metal is my motto. Point well taken.
