For anyone researching Bearded Dragon enclosures, this is not the video for you. There is a lot wrong with this setup. Do your research please before becoming the person in charge of another living things life. Too many people have Bearded Dragons and too little of them properly take care of them.
@Marisa Bb that tank is not big enough. They need a 4x2x2 foot enclosure. Hes making a big deal out of.the size and it doesn't even look to be the minimum beardie requirement. And $190 is nothing for an enclosure.
I don't think I even have to say that this isn't the best bearded dragon setup on RUclips. Trust me when I say that 75 is nothing compared to what the majority of keepers say the minimum should being
@@kevbone8061 yes he was in. 20 gallon for so long and I did proper research and now all of my aniamls have at least the bare minimum my ball python has 60 gallon my betta has 15 my bunnies have my whole room and my bearded dragon has a 4x2x2 cage
Wow, I know this video is a year old, but after seeing the video and reading comments it is amazing the lack of knowledge most have. If you plan to get a beardie or have one. Minimum size is 75 gallon tank. 40 gallon is good for babies and juveniles. I would just purchase the 75 gallon and save money on upgrading to a bigger one. 1. Sand is NO GOOD! It will cause impaction on your dragon. 2. They very seldom drink water, so the water bowl doesn't need to be in there because it will create higher humidity. 3. Constant high humidity will cause them to get impaction. Make sure you have 2 digital thermometers that show heat and humidity. Humidity should be as low as possible, but good is 30% to 40%. Constant high humidity will cause moisture in their lungs. 4. When getting a tank find one with doors in the front. It is much easier to get your beardie out of the tank. You will have to keep removing the top ALOT if you don't get the right one. Beardie's love to roam around the house or hang out with you on the couch. If you would like to know anything more please send a message. I have learned from some of the best people on everything for a beardie!
Hello. I have been looking into getting a bearded dragon for quite a while and I would like to ask a few questions. 1. is it ok to use paper towels as a base? 2. can you turn the heat light and UV light off at night? and 3. is a 75 gallon tank ok for him?
@@matthewwesthoff8099 1. Paper towel is good for a base, but you will have to change it out after your bearded poops. 2. All lights in a bearded dragons enclosure need to be turned off because they sleep at night just like we do. As long as the temperature doesn't go under 70° at night your bearded will be fine, but if the temperatures are very cold at night, investing in a heat emitter for night time will work. Do not use infared light for night time either! Bearded dragons can see the light at night and it will ruin your bearded dragons night cycle. 3. If you are getting an ADULT bearded dragon the minimum tank size is a 120 gallon, 4x2x2, but if you are bringing home a baby or juvenile a 75 gallon or smaller would work fine. I have a 4 month old and I'm upgrading her to a 4x2x2 because she has a lol of energy and I want her to be able to explore more. 4. I have been putting small water bowls in her tank, but she never drinks the water. To compensate, I have been giving her warm baths in my sink everyday. I use a squeezer to squeeze water onto her mouth and at some point she drinks it. But be careful with faucet water, you may want to buy reptisafe. Make sure the water is warm not hot or cold. Keep the water between 90-99° I hope this helps!
Hi. Beardie owner here, like your channel and your love for animals. If he has not been eating as much, Might I suggest something? The uvb coil bulbs are not good for beardies, how do I know? Research tons of research. There’s new research now, I’m in groups with people who have a uvb meters to measure and even turns out reptisun tube t8 bulbs arent not good either! That’s what I was currently using, I just switched to Arcadia 12% t5 bulb in a reflector light fixture and it’s even strong enough to sit on top off tank. Im sure it would help with his appetite. And always make sure his temps are correct with a temp gun or probe thermometer! I hope he gains his appetite back. And I am happy to answer any questions
I just took my beardie to an exotic vet because he stopped eating all together. Turns out he has an enlarged heart, and is on heart failure meds. And he had been dewormed to help his appetite and had his blood taken and they can’t find anything. we’ve tried a lot but I’m still having to force feed most days but he will eat sometimes.
Those UVB lights are HORRIBLE!! Your dragon is not getting the proper UVB - esp with them over the screen because it takes away almost 50% UVB!! Your basking bulb & UVB tube (T5 Tube is the correct one you should have) should be overlapping each other. The way you have it setup is not allowing him to get both lights while basking. Also using the sand you run the risk of impaction :(
3 month old baby bearded dragon went all out on a tank 50 gallon well worth it. Will not have to upgrade for a long ass time. Eventually going to 120 gallon.
Wondering where you got the lid for your tank at it wasn't in the list in the description. I got the same tank that I'm trying to set up like your videos. Thanks

Please don’t listen to this info he’s not given out any correct information. Good bearded dragon owners know that 2 should never ever be housed together. Please do proper research, meaning websites, before buying one. I don’t mean to come across as a know-it-all but I’ve seen so much wrong care for reptiles that it’s sad. Wrong care can and will lead them to mbd as well as general stress and health issues. If you need any sites I can give you links
Sorry you feel that way, I didn’t have the proper stuff to add in the tank upgrade like all the decorations but it was an amazing upgrade a 40 to a 75g enclosure… I’ll be doing a “remodel” very soon to where it’s going to look like the thumbnail! Hope you see it
Pro tips: 1) A lot of people get pissy over enclosure size but a 75 gallon is perfectly fine. 2) Sand is a bad substrate in any circumstance unless heavily diluted with top soil. There's no purpose to have it in the tank and risk impaction. 3)Coil UVBs are bad. Replace with a linear. I recommend Arcadia or Reptisun. About all I can think of off the top of my head but if you intend to follow this build make sure to eliminate/change these things.
Love watching your videos and I’ve been subscribed to you for a while and I hope you don’t take any offense to what I’m about to tell you because your a pretty cool dude and I know you love your beardie. I just have to say whoever sold you that light let you down! Those bulbs don’t put out enough UVB. It’s better to use the Reptisun T5 10.0 tube bulbs/ fixture. He also should have told you that your UVB light needs to be able to stretch all the way across from about 2inch from your heat dome all the way to the other end. T5 lights can sit on the top of the screen or you can get T8 lights that have to be mounted inside the tank. I know that light fixture and bulbs were really expensive which is why I’m so sad that the guy who sold you those didn’t give you the right info. Boss’s unhappiness and not eating a lot will only continue and will eventually lead to a vet visit if he doesn’t get the right amount of UVB is why I’m saying this since you mentioned it in the video. Also do you have any Hygrometer/Thermometers. You will need them because the bigger the tank the harder it’s going to be to keep the temp and the humidity where it needs to be. I absolutely love the tile it’s perfect for beardies but I would watch for sand in his poop because the sand really isn’t good for them. If you start to notice it I would definitely take the sand out. Most people in the community stay away from sand honestly. ( I know crazy since they are desert animals but I guess that’s the difference between them only living a few years in the wild but up to 19 years in captivity lol) I’m NOT by any means bashing your video I’m just wanting to say that the guy at the store seriously let you down and I know you want the best for him. Love the tank! The tile does look bomb :) against the sand. I’m going to have to try and find black reptile carpet lol.
this video should be taken down best tank more like worst tank you don't even have proper UVB so your bearded dragon will get metabolic bone disease and this tank is way to small for a bearded dragon of that size the bare minimum is 120 for adult bearded dragons

The big issue with this is the sand, and not having a proper flat surface under the basking light to let the Beardie digest their food correctly, which can lead to impaction. Also, that tile will collect bacteria, and lead to fungal issues. TBH anything over 40 gallon is sufficient for a grown beardie. But bigger is fine!
That’s the only thing similar I could find on Amazon but I bet there is something cheaper and similar to the tank I have, later I’ll try to find something and make a new link and I’ll let you know if I found something 👍🏻
I’m of the opinion that anything requiring more than a 55 gal, it’s time for a custom wooden/glass front build. Seek out a cabinet maker. They inadvertently make reptile enclosures on the daily, people. You can have them make you a 123 gal tank or a 207 gal tank or whatever for the same price as a 75 gal. The added advantage to a wooden enclosure is that wood retains heat better than glass. You can also customize the enclosure to a long, tall, etc…. NOTHING in a reptile enclosure is new to a cabinet maker.
Water does not go in the tank. They very seldom drink water. If you leave the water in there you risk raising the humidity up too high and can cause moisture in their lungs.

That big ass water dish is going to cause way too much humidity for a beardie and you can give him a respiratory infection. 75 gallons is not big enough unless it's a long tank at least 4ft long
Please use a bigger enclosure 75 gallons was the old minimum and now researchers have found they do not have enough room in 75 gallons! They should be kept in at minimum 100 gallons but that is the absolute minimum they should be housed in 120 gallons/ four by two by two feet please upgrade them if possible
I’m not even playing when I say this is no where near the best Bearded Dragon setup on RUclips. You didn’t even fill the tank up with decorations. That poor Bearded Dragon had nothing at all to do in that tank. Hopefully you will look back at this video and just do better for your Bearded Dragon.
My 2 bearded dragons are babies and they both got the proper 120 gallon enclosure right off the bat.. 😂 a 75 gallon for an adult dragon is not big enough 🙄😒
I think yall are acting dramatic asf yes he doesn’t have a hiding place that’s a easy fix the tank is a good size for a creature that just lays down and doesn’t run around and move a lot and also needs to get a new UVB light of course but stop acting like he’s a animal abuser the animal is perfectly fine if it’s eating and drinking and has the right amount of heat he’s had it for 3 years it look okay
This by far is not what a dragon needs. This setup is undersized, and inadequate once your dragon is an adult. Do more research before purchasing a Dragon.
He'll still be unhappy with his home I assure you, it's totally not even close to his habitat. Poor little dragon. BTW those are GOLIATH worms not wax worms. I hate when ppl like this think they know what's best! Do your research please, and don't copy this setup because your bearded dragon will not survive long!! And this is not big enough for the poor guy, and he's pretty skinny 😔. It's sad really
So much wrong with this. Small tank, 120g min for adult. Sand no good. Light should be a tube light. No temp/humidity meter. No hides. Minimal climbing/basking space. Full glass, so no sense of privacy/security. (Background good) Please rename to 'How not to house your bearded dragon.'
cage too small insufficient lighting the worms u feed is supposed to be treats not main source of the diet just a sad cage for a bearded dragon to be in

You should never put sand in with a bearded dragon
My 2 bearded dragons are babies and they both got the proper 120 gallon enclosure right off the bat.. 😂 a 75 gallon for an adult dragon is not big enough 🙄😒
Your beardy is beautiful I just love His colors!!💞 Also the tank is very nice!
I'm glad you like it
what is that stand holding the tank i love it
350 is not bad!
I have a 75 gallon and this is cool!
that's awesome you should join my Discord so you can share it with everyone :)
man this the w0rst cage i ever seen g
sorry
I may get a bearded dragon.
Awesome!!
Make sure you researcxh and don't do anything this guy does. He hasn't even done the basic research to know his set up is horrible.
Ur a nice guy but please delete this video your influencing people to ruin a bearded dragons life
#BossTheBeardedDragon 👊👍🔥
Thanks for watching the whole way through man🔥
@@CasualProYT thank you for watching your behavior I love you I want a pet dragon pet the Boss
75 gallons is to small it needs to be atleast 120 gallons 75 gallon tank is big enough for a bearded dragon is outdated info
Do cricket feeding in The tank
I think yall are acting dramatic asf yes he doesn’t have a hiding place that’s a easy fix the tank is a good size for a creature that just lays down and doesn’t run around and move a lot and also needs to get a new UVB light of course but stop acting like he’s a animal abuser the animal is perfectly fine if it’s eating and drinking and has the right amount of heat he’s had it for 3 years it look okay
#Boss the Bearded dragon
🔥
My bearded dragon is 6 months old and bigger then yours he need a way bigger tank and more things to climb on
That's an awesome setup man keep up the good work
gotta be the saddest excuse for a tank stand i've seen to date my guy
Not a hater but that sand could cause impaction also 75 gallon is probably to small for a grown beardie
You are so right about the sand. However there is plenty of room for a beardie in a 75 gallon. Besides they can come out and roam around your house.
I think you made a typo its #1 worst tank setup not #1 best dont you just hate autocorrect’
😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣 #bossthebeardeddragon
HI don't use reptiles sand that's colored because I've seen the color of the bearded dragon getting dyed from sand like that just to let you know.
LOL, that is not the reason you don't use sand. You don't use sand because it can impact them.
After like 6 videos about #bossthebeardeddragon i am now considering getting one myself!
75 for a teenager beardie? Doing a lot wrong but good luck!
Do not follow this video if you care those uvb lights don't work. The cage isn't big enough list goes on.
This by far is not what a dragon needs. This setup is undersized, and inadequate once your dragon is an adult. Do more research before purchasing a Dragon.
DID I hear sand?
No… who said sand..?
Not impressed at all.
Is there something I could of done better I would love to hear it so I can improve, thanks 😁
Hi
Heyy, I have a new bearded dragon video coming out tomorrow, hope you check it out 😃
He'll still be unhappy with his home I assure you, it's totally not even close to his habitat.
Love the content keep it up
Sand is bad!
Too small of a tank. Should be 120Gallons!
75 is too small though
this is not 75 its a 64
So much wrong with this.
Small tank, 120g min for adult.
Sand no good.
Light should be a tube light.
No temp/humidity meter.
No hides.
Minimal climbing/basking space.
Full glass, so no sense of privacy/security. (Background good)
Please rename to 'How not to house your bearded dragon.'
Thanks for the feedback, I'll be sure to address this in future videos!
#BOSSTHEBEARDEDDRAGON
That’s a very empty and boring enclosure , I think it’s sad for the bearded dragon to live in that😢
Dude your beardie needs a place to hide. This tank is not sufficient.
cage too small
insufficient lighting
the worms u feed is supposed to be treats not main source of the diet
just a sad cage for a bearded dragon to be in
Just build a tank
this video has s lot of outdated info and bad products
The clickbait is real with this vid lol. If you’re gonna make a video of an enclosure you make for an animal at least put what the enclosure actually looks like in the picture instead of using some photoshopped image. Cmon man. Some of us actually wanna learn how to make a cool enclosure 😑 yours is literally so plain
Bro that set up is super boring.. your bearded dragon needs places to hide and enrichment! Also he looks pretty skinny to me in the tank at the end.
This is the worst most amateur setup I have ever seen. You need to go to a specialist store and show them this video so they can teach you everything wrong with this
That’s too small
What size do you recommend?
@@CasualProYT about 120 would be ideal
@@fragmichnichts hopefully this year I can do a massive upgrade 😎
Lol 75 is PLENTY lol you are dumb.
This possibly one of the worst dragon setups ive come across, please dont use this as your standard.
Nice video but u talk to much
