Ive been under a scarf three years now. First because my hair was breaking off. Later because i lost my hair during chemo. It happens. I owe all my skills and sensibility to YT hijabis and the muslim community. And i am so grateful to all of you. Once i started losing my hair, i jumped right into my scarves, hijab style, which i prefer. I like my neck, front and back protected, as i often get cold in winter. A full coverage hijab is the perfect solution. Also i love the soft neutral colors that muslim ladies prefer! They blend in with my casual street clothes, even my jeans and boots. So, thank you to the muslim community, from a non muslim, non Jewish, (and i know how to wrap tichel too!), American woman! Thank you so, so much! Such style! I wear it proudly!
I'm not sure what she did, either, but chiffon is hard to stay tied. I use thick ponytail elastic instead of knots. Easier on the fabric, on you, adjustable, stays put! You can still pouf it out with a little help from the elastic, to hide the actual elastic. She might have used a safety pin. I'd still rather use the elastic.
Hi, id like to help. Chiffon is a real pain to tie, it won't stay unless you really yank on the fabric, not good for the chiffon. I use ponytail elastics whenever I need to tie anything. Works so much better.
If you have a bun, you can pin the whole thing there. I've lost my hair to chemo, so I came up with 3/4in elastic tape with grippy silicone on one side. Sized it to my head swim cap right, and zigzag stitched it up! I place the elastic over my underscarf, and tuck my chiffon about 2in under the elastic, working my way down either side of my head, to behind my ears. You can still tie or pin it in back, but I prefer elastic ponytail bands, because chiffon doesn't stay tied. It's so much easier! Thanks to that elastic, that scarf is good all day! High wind? Don't worry about it. That scarf ain't going anywhere!

Very beautiful. I'd like a view of what to do in the back with the 2nd hijab style. I'm confused. Do we pin it? Tie it?
Thank you ❤️
