Decided to upload a video of my favorite act first instead of uploading all the videos in order. The level needs a bit of work, but it's still quite fun. Hoping to upload the other acts later this week.
Damn... So it seems like they want to completely re-create the whole prototype Subcon Forest and not just one act, that's really admirable, there's so much work and love put into this... I'm really getting excited for this mod, at this point I'm starting to believe that we might actually see the battle between Snatcher, Moonjumper and Vanessa for the control of the Subcon Forest.
I’ve always thought that this version of Subcon would’ve been like Battle Of the Birds in the final, and depending on who got control, you could have a boss fight with either Vanessa, Snatcher (at least we got one), or Moonjumper.
A vanessa fight would be amazing
Even though i find the music in the final game more fitting for the situation, i appreciate that the mod still made Vanessa a threat in the light puzzle instead of having snatcher kid.
Like a good middle ground between the prototype and final release.
This Mod Is Awesome! I’ve played it myself, and it’s awesome to see the whole scrapped chapter back! Especially getting to see Moonjumper and playing all the original acts.
Can't wait for the mod to be done, looks good so far!
My god Vanessa’s laughter is mortifying
Some of the sound effects used for her in the mod are actually just the Goofy Mafia sound effects. I'm pretty certain they are placeholders

Unfortunately, BlueCube has decided to discontinue working on the Dark Forest mod, mainly due to issues with the editor. Fortunately, the files for it will be publicly uploaded, so others can continue developing it or use parts of it for their own personal projects. Not really... This is a mod that re-creates the prototype Subcon Forest, and for what I've understand the developer of the mod wants to make things a little different, in the original 3rd floor (alpha and beta) Snatcher took the shape of Hat Kid and stole a key... To make him drop the key you had to use Snatcher's weakness (which was light at the time). In this re-created version other than having Timmy on it, as you could see you have to fight Vanessa instead of the Snatcher.
@@martinb5734 Pretty sure people found some leftover files and actors in the Alpha that showed that you would fight Vanessa in some way. Going to look a bit more into this later.

I don't believe it's cancelled, but there hasn't been any updates in quite some time to my knowledge.

You should add Mafia town and battle of the birds loading screens to the mod
@@RonnyFilms_ The mod only contains Subcon, not any other chapters. But you could do an asset replace mod if you wanted them in.
