I love your idea to do a student showcase live. It will be so fun to see what you find interesting in our works. I have been struggling with my paper drying too quickly. I use Academy Boahong 100% cotton. I just bought some Fluid 100 and Strathmore paper to try. I plan on trying one of your other lives to test them out. Oh, I also bought a palette knife! I haven't used Strathmore in ages and the one time I tried Fluid I did not like it. I've heard great things about Boahong though! And everyone has different preferences! I hope you fine the perfect fit for you! You are going to love having a palette knife!
