    In this vlog we continue exploring Senja, Norway. We based ourselves in Gryllefjord and visited Hamn i Senja, Tungeneset, Steinfjord and hiked the amazing Husfjelllet.
    Husfjellet was one of my favorite hikes that I did while in Norway and I recommend it highly! For me it was Senja's most beautiful hike! Especially at sunrise =)

    Norway is possibly the most magical country on Earth. It's not only beautiful, but it gives off a feeling of serene peacefulness. Whenever I hear about it, or read about it, I suddenly get this tingling, like I belong there, that I'm connected to it. Especially northern Norway, within the Arctic Circle. It's calling me to make a new home there, and become part of its magic.

    I liked your travel companion's humour with the wet feet, scared of heights, but still went all the way up. I liked that you rated the hike's difficulty and how long it took. Norway is one destination that I want to go to. So far I've only been to the Oslo airport.

      I would highly recommend checking out northern Norway! Its one of the most beautiful places ive ever been, and I have lived in Canada and New Zealand for my whole life!

    Wow this really is a stunning hike. Norway is always somewhere I don;t think about much (mostly because I'm not a fan of the cold haha). But then I watch epic videos like this and it makes me want to dig out my coat and book a plane ticket!

      Thank you! Haha if you go in the summer/fall it wont be very cold!! Plus I think its worth being a little bit cold for the epic scenery 😁

    What a great job show casing this gorgeous area! I need to go back and watch part 1. The drone shots with all of the tiny islands is awesome, love the change of color in the water. Then the hike looked like epic!

    Cant over all the epic beauty in this video, even in the bad weather it looks amazing. I've wanted to get to Norway for so long. Wouldn't have expected there to be anywhere open for late food in a village like that! Stunning footage from the peak... Wow! Great work yet again, can't wait to see the next one :)

    Love all the videos from Norway! I have a trip planned for August2019 and had some of these spots already on the list but seeing the layout and how long it takes to hike them just help me more for the pre-planning, thank you and keep up the great content!

    I'm headed there in September so stumbled across this video. I'm actually staying in skaland so that hike looks a must. Is it well marked?

      @Mathias Johnsen thanks for the tip!

    • @itsryanwilkes
      @itsryanwilkes  5 лет назад +2

      Yep as he said it's well marked! The trail is pretty clear the whole way up. Then when you get above the trees you can kind of decide which peak you want to go to, but if you have your phone with you and google maps you'll be able to see where you are.

    Were you using your voigtlander 17 for this? I have the 40 and feel like it has that voigtlander look! Anyway, love this, haven't been to norway yet but hopefully will soon :)

    • @itsryanwilkes
      @itsryanwilkes  5 лет назад

      Hey Anna, thank you! Actually most of this was filmed with the Lumix 12-35 f2.8 and the Olympus 7-14 f2.8! Don't think I had any voigtlander magic in this one haha 😜

    Hello which camera do you use here? G9 or Gh5 ? can I synonymous such a video with the g85 rotate?

    • @itsryanwilkes
      @itsryanwilkes  5 лет назад

      I used the GH5 in this video. Do you mean can the G85 make a similar video? I would say yes, of course! The only thing it cant do is the 120 fps

    • @cancan7837
      @cancan7837 5 лет назад +1

      @@itsryanwilkes
      Okay, how many fps did you record the video and what settings?

    • @itsryanwilkes
      @itsryanwilkes  5 лет назад

      The slow motion shots are almost all at 120 fps, and the vlogging shots are at 24fps. I use the natural profile with saturation and contrast turned down to -5

    I have so much left to explore on Senja, and Northern Norway in general. Dream of visiting NZ too, but both should be similar enough.

    • @itsryanwilkes
      @itsryanwilkes  5 лет назад

      Both are incredible but different in their own ways due to the climates. Both have towering fjords and mountains, but NZ is much more green and serene while I found Norway to be a lot more rugged and wild =)

    Dude!!! That was SUCH a beautiful hike!!!
    also, is there something up with the compression of your DSLM? it looked a little noisey and pixelated in some spots. Even watching at 1080 I noticed some issue. not majorly distracting just asking!

    • @itsryanwilkes
      @itsryanwilkes  6 лет назад

      Thanks man!! And thanks for letting me know about that. Was it mostly during drone footage or other clips? If you could let me know a certain time that you saw some issues I will check it out because im curious too. I just re-watched the exported file and she looks pretty good so maybe RUclips did something weird. Anyways thanks again man 😀
