Nice performance, but I feel that 'The Boxer' is one song that doesn't lend itself to an orchestral accompaniment. The mood of the song is edgy, impatient, urgent, questioning, querulous in parts. An orchestra smooths out all that edginess, muffles the questioning, soothes the impatience, and gives the song a bland, sugary coating with the result that the true flavour of the song is lost.
