Jesus bound together two laws in the Old Testament that were separated. Love God with your whole heart AND love your neighbor as yourself. Translation: if you talk the talk, you have to walk the walk. The Pharisees, of course, were the opposite example. They fulfilled all the rules of worship but fell flat on the rules of love of neighbor. * The Presidential election is this week. Love of neighbor and love of God BIND US to vote. The Catechism of the Catholic Church tells us that we are MORALLY bound to vote out of love of God and love of neighbor. If you don't vote, you need to go to confession. I say this because in the 2020 election it was estimated that 15 million Catholics did not vote. With extended days and hours for voting, it is easier than ever to get to the ballot box. VOTE: LOVE YOUR NEIGHBOR. I'm voting for Donald Trump. I hope you will do the same.
