mjj 0062 Yea it was brave... KD knew he would face a lot of backlash joining GS, he also knew people weren't going to like his decision and he'd be the most hated player, but he didn't care because he's finally happy now and he did what he wanted to do instead of what the fans wanted.
but ultimately might bite him in the ass legacy wise, 95% of fans and players won't give him credit for winning a ring for joining a team with 4 all-stars (5 if zaza is an all star :') ) and curry and him combining 3 mvps from a former 73-9 team. i feel like even if he does have success on this team it wont matter to most people, just my opinion though..
***** mvp and multiple scoring titles, is enough to get you into the hall of fame so thats a legacy, just wont be looked as an achievement if he wins a ring on this team

Everyone hates KD for going to the warriors. But it was Lebron and the league that caused it. Lebron is the guy who started bouncing around the league creating superteams. And the league allowed there to be a huge imbalance between the eastern and western conferences.
Last year, Golden State and OKC used 110 percent of their energy in a dogfight, while Lebron's hand picked super team strolled to the finals. if KD doesn't leave OKC then the same thing happens this year. True. The East is tougher, but it's a dogfight in the west. No easy rounds. When KD left OKC for Goldenstate, what he really did was take OKC out of the equation. That was more important than making GS better.
Now GS has a path to make it to the finals, without being used up. And that's also why Russ hates KD. OKC was just as good as Golden state last year. They could have won it all this year. When KD left, he didn't just leave a team, he took Russ's best chance at a ring.
But like I said... it wasn't KD's fault. It was the league's fault. Russ should understand, if KD was on OKC this year... same thing happens. GS, OKC, Houston, and the spurs kill each other in the west, and then the winner limps into the finals to be slaughtered by lebron.
Everyone's seen the imbalance in the conferences for YEARS. The association screwed up by not addressing it. Now, the inevitable has happened. The association is all screwed up.

He was the missing ingredient to the true dynasty. Warriors won the first ring because Lebron had practically no help (yet kept it close). They lost once Lebron finally entered the war with all of his soldiers healthy and another year of tape under his belt. The warriors have never TRULY had the Cavaliers number. KD is that mid-range/pure scorer who can create mismatches and score efficiently from any range. Add in that he is probably their best defender and you could make the case that the "new kid on the block" is easily their most valuable piece.
