    I have had the Harmony One for years and is the best , very reliable. I just purchased the Harmony Elite and am anxious to get it and give it a try. If it is as good as my old Harmony One I will be very happy because I just love the Harmony Remotes. Thanks for doing the excellent review and setup. Even though I’m proficient with the device you cleared up for me that I can just copy my Harmony One setting over. 📱📺🇨🇦

    I’d be interested to know when using eARC/CEC if the programming say of devices or control like volume one would include the AMP for example when that is in itself is controlled by the TV (ARC/CEC) ? E.g. is the volume device seen as the TV or the AMP - Tks

    • @MikeFaucher
      @MikeFaucher  4 года назад

      I currently am not using CEC on any device for various reasons, mostly because all devices are not compatible and it exhibits some weird behaviors from the receiver. Thanks for the question.

    What can you add about how the Elite works with RUclipsTV? I access it through AppleTV. Can I set up the Watch TV activity to go to RUclipsTV via AppleTV?

    I noticed that you have a Nividia Shield Gaming Console. When you connected the Harmony to it did all the buttons connect? Also, do you have the F1-F12 numbers on you Harmony Screen?

    • @MikeFaucher
      @MikeFaucher  5 лет назад

      I did have to make a few adjustments to remap a few buttons like the Menu button for example but mostly because I mainly use it for media playback. No F1-F12 buttons.

      @@pharaohacura3618 Sounds like you are all set. If you have the hub then all you will gain is syncing between the remote and hub and a nicer display, otherwise you already have it. Thanks for the comment.

    • @MikeFaucher

      @@MikeFaucher that’s correct, Harmony app says “not supported” because the device/remote communicates via BT using my WiFi/Eth connection. I know Harmony supports BT...my only guess is it does so only with connections, not BT remote commands. Please let me know if I’m missing something...

      @@MikeFaucher Re: PC/media device, I CAN get it setup and working, but sleep/shutdown breaks the connection and disables the driver and I have to manually disable the driver and re-pair Harmony. Also, only BT connection seems or work, USB can connect to PC for power and to download the Harmony desktop software, but USB connection doesn’t allow for remote command unless BT is connected. Ive heard FLIRC and sending/setup of magic packets could work but haven’t been able to find anything definitive. Please let me know if you’ve heard otherwise...

    Great video although Logitech's setup software looks and feels very dated! Anyone who owns a Harmony; Do you know if you can select Sonos (+ specific rooms) as your TV audio output, Sonos being connected via 3.5 / Optical --> Play 5?

    Hey Mike what is the direct advantages of having the hub? Do I really need it? I was leaning toward the harmony touch originally. It’s only controlling a few devices Projector, DirectTV, PS4, Blu Ray, Fire Stick and Phillips Hue and screen lights

    • @MikeFaucher
      @MikeFaucher  5 лет назад +1

      The main advantage is the hub allows you to use phone app as well integrate to the Echo/Google Home. It is not a need but a nice to have for the future. Either way, you go the best of luck and enjoy it.

    Mike: How can I operate 2 cable boxes in the same cabinet. When using the harmony elite remote it changes both cable boxes channel to the new channel. They are different models boxes, how I can stop this.

    • @MikeFaucher
      @MikeFaucher  4 года назад

      If they are the same provider or they work from the same codes, not sure how you can prevent this as you are broadcasting and IR signal which hits everything in the line of sight. There may be a trick on how to separate it but I am not sure how. Having two cable boxes is not the usual use case. Sorry I could not be more help. You might try their forums they may be able to help (community.myharmony.com/en-us/).

    Why you got to set up the Remote on the Computer 💻?? When the Main Thing the Hub can be set up on your phone?? That is really dumb expensive and complicated device. It make no sense I don’t have a computer and I’m not getting one Logitech need to tighten up that remote needs be set up on anything because not everyone has a computer. The Hub is everything and it can be set up on your Phone and computer so you don’t need a computer. Waste of money...
