U can see how determined maddie is to get everything right in this dance. Move after move, she deffo wanted to win.
I hear people talk about how Maddie isn't as good as other kids, but in my opinion Maddie has one thing no other kid I've ever seen has, fluidity everythings seems so smooth so natural. It's a privilege watching her perform.
+BookWorm 15 Maddie placed 4th at the Dance Awards where Tate Mcrae was 1st-The Nationals at Dance Moms are INVITATION only so they don't go up against the best schools-so Maddie wont dance against a Tate Mcrae,Autumn Miller or Sophia Lucia who are in another league as dancers.
The dance awards seem so stupid to me,the dancers are pretty good but only do slow dances showing her flexibility and lines and no performance at all. That's why maddie didn't win. But she's actually a really good performer and that's what people want to see,be entertained and not just watch slow dances that only show flexibility and lines
@@angelicam7179 they aren’t wrong that’s all we see nowadays Ik it shows off flexibility balance and technique and they do artistry but nothing else and it doesn’t stick out from other dances like silence lucky star fly goodbye maya happiness etc I see that those dances all won bc it’s different from what others are doing I mean I know it shows of lines feet and balance aswell as artistry but it’s so predictable I see too many dances like that and it just you know gets old and kinda repetitive and boring seeing same old things❤
All the moms can talk about how she is the "favorite" how she gets "special treatment," but they could NEVER come out their necks to say she wasnt hardworking. Maddie worked and threw her all into everything she did and that's why she is where she is. Everytime she was at the top, she worked to rise to the occasion. The moms complained about her having privates, but then complained when their kids were at the studio late. There was no pleasing them.
maddie and kenzie had privates instead of school so its not the same when you are at home for 2 hours of homeschool then have a bunch of privates after that then group rehearsals then more privates whereas the other girls had 6+ hours of school and dance from 4 something to late at night dont get me wrong i love maddie but if any of them were treated the way maddie was they would have been winning to.
She killed it! Going up against Brynn definately made her push her dancing to another level! One of her best solos yet
+Jordan Lawrence Maddie is getting a lot better because she danced against a REAL competitor in BRYNN not invitation only tournament girls-Maddie placed 4th at the Dance Awards which was really good because its against the best dancers in the country and not invitation only nationals dance moms does.
Maddie's technique during season 5 was so good. Those lines!
Why is there always an excuse for when maddie wins?! She won because she's a brilliant dancer who earned her victory.

I think the problem is that Maddie did deserve to win, but it wasn't a fair win. The judges favor strong emotional lyricals over anything else, Brynn is a VERY strong dancer and that girly, flimsy, dance didn't really stand a chance over the strong emotional lyrical that Abby gave Maddie. And I have a feeling Abby knew what she was doing. Brynn is very popular in th dance world and its not because of a TV show its because of her dancing alone. Abby is doing the same thing with Khalani.

this choreo was way better than she gave Brynn lol Maddie's was entertaining and showed what she can do...Brynn looked like she was walking rolling and strutting the whole time

Brynn stood absolutely no chance in this, best I've seen maddie dance.
If Brynn was given a strong emotional lyrical, I bet she would've beat Maddie. Of course, Abby dosent want that. She wants to take a great dancer and give them poor choreography so Maddie will stand out.
dvMochixx she would go watch her solo breathe or enter one she uses her face and if Abby wasn’t so focused on maddie and her winning and giving brynn an equal opportunity she more than likely would have come out on top
Why is it every time Maddie wins, everyone always says it was fixed, or there's ALWAYS an excuse. maybe is this situation there was, but why can't anybody ever accept that she is a good dancer too?

yeah i agree about the fact that maddie has something special when she's dancing but did you ever seen one of brynn's solos with her studio? Please if not go look at "enter one" and you will see she has something special too when she is dancing Infortunatelly we can't see that when she's dancing for the show...

Tecla Diana I agree! Sometimes Maddie isn't even the best technical dancer at all but she brings such an emotion to her performances that's hard to explain
@@madjmes3084 Thing is all those technical aspects are amazing and worthy of first place when you're a mini or a junior Put some amazing music under it and you can pass it off as emotional execution. But when you get older the judges want to see a maturity in your dancing. Brynn lacked two things- complex emotional connectivity and power/strength in her dancing (like it's all pretty but not explosive). Things you expect from a pre-teen. Maddie looks more like a woman dancing. Brynn looks like a little kid. And if Brynn has an easier dance then she should be killing it commitment wise.

Are people really this low? This is a 14 year old girl who is doing what she loves which just so happens to be featured on a tv show. Quite saying how awful she is or how bad she is and think about the fact that if that were true, she wouldn't have accomplished more in her short life than most of you sitting behind your keyboards. Every single dancer every on that show is amazing and brave for doing what they do in front of everyone who is so quick to judge and pick apart shit that they don't even know anything about. People are so ridiculous nowadays with bullying people, I can't stand it.

It's easy for anyone to see, Maddie definitely deserved to win. Brynn's music, costume, and choreography(especially the choreography), was mediocre compared to Maddie's! I personally believe Brynn is better based on what I've seen both of them do. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯ However, when you go to compete, you usually compete with what you excel at. Brynn does best dancing barefoot in controlled contemporary pieces, usually with quite basic costumes. Maddie does best in more showoffy lyrical pieces, typically wearing half soles with bedazzled costumes. They clearly belong at two different studios. The second it gets back to the way it was, the better off both off them will be. Also, the choreography Brynn usually dances to usually has emotion more in the movements and slight changes in facials, that's quite hard to do when every eight count is an extension or aerial. There is not any movement to really feel. Maddie usually dances to choreography that is like that, so she showcases it through her face.

Holly Sealover great compare and contrast. i couldn't explain it better. maddie is more of a showstopper, hall of fame, starbound competitor. lots of facials, tricks, over the top costume. brynn chills in the more contemporary side of things at 24/7, jump, and tda. west coast vs east coast styles honestly.

I don't understand what are you guys saying about maddie being the overrated on the show. If anything, she's underrated cause she's always given the same choreography and always nail it. That meens that she can do way harder things.

Maddie should have won nationals she is an amazing dancer and puts her heart in every dance. This must be so hard for her she is a perfectionist. She is probably beating herself up 😔

I think that they both have strengths and weaknesses. It's easy for us to bash one of them and praise the other but at the end of the day they are both stunning and technical or performance critiques are good but say one is better than the other doesn't benefit anyone so there's really no point fighting over it guys. Bare in mind that they do dance in front of judges. It's their job to pick who's best. Not ours. They're both superstars and doing what they want to be doing making tonnes of money off the thing they love. Good for them. Let he who has not sinned throw the first stone. If you can do it better by all means give helpful advice but derogatory commentary is just mean xx

Maddie is a professional dancer now, why is she still allowed to compete in competitions?
She's technically not a professional dancer, if she was she would not be on the show anymore and wouldn't be able to compete. Maddie got offered a special opportunity from some company but the show didn't let her do it because then she would be considered a professional dancer, but Sofia Lucia is a professional dancer and she still competes at competitions, but I think they are for pros only. Idk
but if she's dancing for sia in music videos and live, shouldn't that classify as "professional"?

hmmm...so are the parents being paid more to reflect what the children should be paid for? Also I suppose that we don't get to see much of what happens outside the show - I didn't think that they would do competitions outside of the show.
maddie did well but so did brynn. i think brynn is technically better than maddie. i think maddie performed better in this one. i will also say that maddie's song choices always allow that emotional factor to play..i wonder if brynn had a more emotionally charged song if it would have won. i feel like brynn got a chloe song thrown at her. lol. im really not hating. i know that performance almost always outwins "Technique" but i also wonder if brynn had some songs with "emotional wording" built in would she have won? thats all.

i love her. but i do not like those toe caps on her feet! her arch is not good enough to wear them and it makes her line look super weird and accentuates her sickling. i prefer jazz shoes or bare feet. overall she performed amazing. her legs are so long and pretty. ive always loved how she moves. i wish she would turn out in transition steps more and soften her upper body.
