- There is no dispute that the conquest of Acre in 1291 AD was one of the decisive battles in the history of the Crusades and Islamic history in general, and one of the strongest confrontations with the Crusaders during the two hundred years that Europeans spent in the East. Sultan Al-Ashraf Khalil bin Qalawun besieged Acre with fifty thousand fighters and a large number of advanced siege tools at its time. It would be the last thing left for the Crusaders in the Levant, and the sunset of the Crusaders’ presence would be in the whole East.
How did Sultan Al-Ashraf_Khalil prepare and mobilize his forces for the great siege, and how did the Crusaders mobilize their forces in preparation for facing the Sultan? وحتى القوميات الاسلامية تميل الى تمجيد تاريخ الأتراك اكثر، ولا تلتفت لتاريخ المماليك رغم انه ملىء بالاحداث العظيمة..
