Happy New Year everyone! Hope everyone's having an alright 2016 so far! EDIT: I almost forgot to mention that 2016 is gonna be quite the year for AA fans, since it's the year the first games took place! How exciting! Comment question: What is your favourite Pursuit theme?
8: Caught 7: Cornered 6: Overtaken 5: Lying Coldly 4: Casting Magic 3: Questioned 2: Keep Pressing On 1: Wanting to Find the Truth They are all great themes, and they each fit their own games perfectly, but this is the order I'd place them in (As I haven't played Dai Gyakuten Saiban, I can't comment on its Pursuit theme).
GK2's Pursuit theme is a good song, but a weak Pursuit theme in my opinion. The predecessor does indeed possess the superior Pursuit theme, even though I like Wanting to Find the Truth.
@Torri 800 Honestly, I was in the same boat, but over time, I ended up Despising AAI1’s Pursuit theme, it just felt off to me. Currently, I’d say AAI1 Possesses the Better Pursuit theme, AAI2 Possesses the best attempt at a Pursuit theme. Usually it disappoints people whenever Capcom try something new, but this time round, I see people even defending AAI2’s pursuit theme. The biggest example I can think of is DGS’ pursuit theme. People often say it is too slow, doesn’t feel victorious enough, doesn’t feel powerful enough, and so on. And while for the most part I disagree with most of them, I can’t deny that I do agree with an extremely small number of the points brought up.
@@alconfalcon5478 I agree with you on pretty much everything regarding the GK duology pursuits (the first game's pursuit was my favorite; since replaced by Dual Destinies' pursuit). However, DGS is something I am adamant to protect, as not only was it made by the series' creator, but it's also far superior to the PWAA Trilogy, which is over-saturated as all hell. Unlike GK2, which is a bad game with the best soundtrack of all time (not just Ace Attorney, in my opinion - the 2011 OST is the epitome of perfection), DGS1 and 2 are both extremely underrated great games that suffer in the music department, as Yasamusa Kitagawa is nowhere near as skilled as Noriyuki Iwadare. This is especially evident in the second game where most of the tracks are bland (over 80% - my favorite song is Mamemomi Heita's theme, and it's an exception. Not to mention a bunch of betas that didn't make it into the final game, something other Ace Attorney OSTs don't have). Either way, this was a really nice exchange over how our opinions change over time as we grow with the things we love.
@@kojiindeed Keep Pressing On just gets me all pumped up like no other Pursuit in the series. It's also so majestic too, even tho I'm also a fan of the more 8 bit sounds from the trilogy. But there's something about DD music as a whole that stands out for me. It's an amazing soundtrack and my favorite AA game
That's a great pursuit theme : D my personal favorite is "The great pursuit~The Resolve of Ryuunosuke Naruodou" I would recommend you to listen to it, but I think it's best if you hold off until you've played the great ace attorney chronicles in its entirety first.
8 minutes of Battle for the Truth ? You're spoiling us Sheddy ! As always thank you for your remixes and Happy New Year :) Comment Question : Well...It's Battle for the truth :x
Totally worth waiting a year for this remix! It's so great! Keep up the amazing content! This pursuit is also my favorite pursuit theme so I'm extremely happy to see this!
Yeahh I do use Harmless a lot! You should go ahead and do a remix of your own, don't let anything discourage you, strive to make something better or different!
LOrbSheddy Yeah, I probably will anyway. It's kinda funny, since it's like the two of us started in the same place but went in different directions. You got better at arrangement while I got better at sound design.
Great work with this! I've always liked this theme and after hearing this, I love it even more. You did great capturing the original's feel and adding more power and your own touch to it!
Also if you're taking ideas for remixes from the comments and plan on more GK2 stuff then the IS-7 reminiscence theme or (spoilers for those who haven't played) Gregory Edgeworth - A defence attorneys knowledge, would be great to hear
Comment question : I really like the newer Pursuit themes (starting from Wanting to Find the Truth), they all fit well in the games. But my favourite would be Pressing Pursuit. But my fav AA OST music is (kinda spoiler) A Cornered Heart
LOrbSheddy Wanting to Find the Truth Instant like (also my fave pursuit is Cornered 2004, followed by Wanting to Find the Truth, then Cornered 2001) Also, there's a game coming out soon called Tadpole Treble, in which the levels are their background music. It will include a level editor, and so I seek permission to use your works of auditory art for custom levels, in hopes that they may achieve a fraction of your songs' beauty.
+Daniel Ma (Blablablablitz) I also know about Turnabout Musical (which is, surprisingly, not dead; they've recently released a compilation of almost every song). However, I've never heard of Brawl in the Family, its numerous and wonderful musical comics, the insanity that is Waluigi Time, its heartwrenching Ode to Minions, its magnificent History of Nintendo, or One Final Song. I don't know a thing about it, and certainly have not read all of it and would not recommend it to any Nintendo fan given half a chance (I wouldn't recommend it because I don't know about it, not because I don't like it; I would think it's marvelous). In conclusion, Matthew Taranto rocks. PS: If you don't know about one of these, go change that. They're fantastic.
Well, I've listened to nearly every song on your channel now and I fully believe that I will stay tuned for _all_ future songs that you put out ^^ If I ever want to upload a video of myself surfing any of your songs in Audiosurf 2, is it alright with you if I do that as long as I link to your original video in the description?
LOrbSheddy Awesome! ^^ It might take me a while to actually upload anything though, since I've decided to start only uploading footage of myself acing songs that I like. (Hopefully that doesn't make the game look too easy as a whole to those who don't know any better for themselves) xD Most of your songs cause Audiosurf 2's algorithms to generate tracks that are fairly tough to actually ace, and I think there might be a couple that straight-up generate tracks that are plain hard to even get a decent score on let alone ace xD So I've been told I'm fairly good at the mode I main in Audiosurf 2 (the "crash" workshop mode by "GodofDrakes"), though there's definitely people much better at it than I am. I do already have a couple Audiosurf 2 videos on my channel if you want to see what me playing Audiosurf 2 generally looks like (;
Hmm, Audiosurf 2. I got it a while ago, and I can't say I liked it that much. It _looked_ cool, but it didn't give any kind of explanation as to the rules of the gameplay, and its famous music interpretation algorithms didn't strike me as magic as everyone who like the game would have me believe. Perhaps that's just me, but I still regret paying full price for it.
Megamerge! Music Oh... you looked at mono mode and judged the whole of AS2 on it? No wonder you regret paying for it then; mono mode absolutely _sucks._ >.> The Steam workshop is where to find the modes that are actually good; fellow AS2 players tend to know what they wanted from the game (; Case in point; not one AS2 video on my channel is in mono mode. The modes I use are "crash" (no grid; no spikes; 1 point per block; just slightly slower), "crash turbo" (same as crash but much faster instead), and "1,000,000" (no grid; final score is basically like a percentage showing how well you did at collecting blocks and avoiding spikes; rather difficult overall despite simplistic rules). Go ahead and check out my channel -/shameless self advertising- ;P I have the same username on Steam as I do here; what's your Steam name?
HELL YES
In response to the comment question, it would either have to be Wanting to Find the Truth or Lying Coldly. I'm a sucker for the AAI music.
Hi shymain
Why are you EVERYWHERE?
you look familar
wait a minute
Lying Coldly and I hope you will remix confrontation presto of AAI one day...keep the AAI AND AA remix coming!
Happy New Year everyone! Hope everyone's having an alright 2016 so far!

Comment question: What is your favourite Pursuit theme?
+LOrbSheddy IMO Keep Pressing On from DD is best.
Pursuit ~ Overtaken
+LOrbSheddy Honestly, Keep Pressing on and Overtaken
3. LYING COLDLY
2. OVERTAKEN
1. CORNERED(and all it's remixes)
8: Caught
7: Cornered
6: Overtaken
5: Lying Coldly
4: Casting Magic
3: Questioned
2: Keep Pressing On
1: Wanting to Find the Truth
They are all great themes, and they each fit their own games perfectly, but this is the order I'd place them in (As I haven't played Dai Gyakuten Saiban, I can't comment on its Pursuit theme).
In my opinion, Caught is the best pursuit theme, Fight me.
*Guess A Murders gonna take place soon, then.*

Well tbh i kinda prefer The great pursuit and the great turnabout pursuit theme from the great ace attorney
My favorites are Wanting to Find the Truth and Overtaken.
Go ahead, disagree. I still like Overtaken.
Wow 7 minutes and 50 seconds. Even your "normal" remixes are getting longer and longer :D
Nice job btw. It sounds really amazing :D
+royalRoy5
... and my favourite Pursuit theme is from Apollo Jusitce: Ace Attorney :D
Same
My favorite is keep pressing on from dual destinies.
Mine too!

This is great. Haven't found many gyakuten kenji 2 remixes and I really enjoy this one. (also just beat this game yesterday)
I just started AAI 2 because I loved the first one a lot, both have some really great music
Hmm, even though it's late, but great job!
My favorite pursuit theme.. The Great Turnabout, I guess?
Yeeeeeees!
Totally worth waiting a year for this remix! It's so great! Keep up the amazing content! This pursuit is also my favorite pursuit theme so I'm extremely happy to see this!
I can hear Harmless pouring out of this one. I love it! I was planning on a remix of this but you blew anything I did right out of the water.

pursuit ~ wanting to find the melody from wanting to find the truth in this remix
Hehe I heard the thing at 4:58
I don't really have a favourite pursuit theme as they all fit their games and that's the context I judge them in. But that aside great remix!
Also if you're taking ideas for remixes from the comments and plan on more GK2 stuff then the IS-7 reminiscence theme or (spoilers for those who haven't played) Gregory Edgeworth - A defence attorneys knowledge, would be great to hear
Those would definitely be interesting... XD
We're back in 2024.❤
It sounds good but the build up is really slow, I got in the first minute
can you make a remix of lying coldy?
i like your songs it is cool
Change Speed to 1.25 and it's good.

What's Pressing Pursuit and is it Caught or Overtaken?
10 out of 10
Very nice remix. I loved the piano opening. Could you do a remix of the Investigation Confrontation themes, from both games?
Don't worry, I intend to get to those eventually! (:

cool mix, its the squared design gonna be a thing now? It looks nice.
Not really, I just decided to use this design for this video. Might use it for others, but the circle design will still be appearing.
