I'm always amazed at the dichotomy of these videos...when it actually dawns on me. Here's a guy who is totally at home living in a traditional woodsman way, bordering on total primitive technology, yet manages to create such amazing videos with very modern technology. Plus he seems to be able to script out every camera angle on a project to show both the wide angle/big picture, and the close up for demonstration and detail. Then editing it all. Not just the video, but the audio, even though there is no spoken word. I think the efforts given to audio to capture both the ambiant surrounding sounds, plus the sounds applicable to the focus of the shot, and get them clear and balanced is so easily overlooked, yet the quality is easily equal to the audio. Maybe I'm just dazzled because I can't take a picture with a Polaroid, let alone make a video, but I just think it's impressive to see. And hear. Thanks for bringing us along again Bertram!

To some extent. I didnt see a gun. The meat probably came from the store. It would be hard to live like that without the state threatening you for not having permits or breaking some game law.
Bertram is my hero! I'm 80 years old, and have spent a lifetime outdoors. I built a log cabin by hand, and raised 3 daughters in it, so I'm no stranger to the woodsman's craft. But Bertram is on another level. I'm not the man I once was, but I could die happy if I could spend a few days in the woods with Bertram.

I live in a place called Wilderness! On the east coast of south africa. I live in the forest, I chop my own firewood. I grow my own food and I'm close to the ocean so I can swim and fish. If he posted under any other video the responses would be much harsher. Not the best way for him to present the Quran but if you read it you can see why he would be so enthusiastic. I study the Bible and the Quran and both books get unfair treatment, especially the Quran for being accused of saying things which are actually in the Bible rather than the Quran. I have read the Quran many times over and have yet to find any verses calling for violence other than justified defense after being attacked. Muslims at the moment need to stand by Christians since Satanists in the US are focusing on the majority Christians and will then turn their attention on the Muslims, and Muslims need to understand that an attack against Jesus is an attack against Islam since Muslims believe in Jesus and are awaiting his return. Notice deliberate, measured steps in his walking motion which helps prevent twisting and over-extension injuries. He bends at the knees, even when arranging the campfire or retrieving small objects at ground level, preventing lower back strains. Leather cover for his axe; always hung on a branch where it won't be inadvertently buried. Leather cover back on the axe right after it's use is completed. These aren't just good camping ideas, they're good basic survival practices.

All of us must ultimately realize that, "we the people", are the checks and balances of this Great Country. It is not just the left or the Right or the middle. It is every single one of us. We must hold our leaders accountable when they make errors. The are imperfect like the rest of us. If we do not hold them to the standards that their position requires, then we the people are failing. No matter who you voted for no matter what your political stance is, our government has failed all of us and is failing all of us. We must be united as the people of this republic. We must be the ones who keep our leaders honest and working for the benefit of every man, woman, and child. If we don't, then we will lose...because a divided house cannot stand.

It is a testament to the calming nature of watching Bertram's videos that the responses to Irlan's spam advertisings have been so gentle.
If he posted under any other video the responses would be much harsher.
Not the best way for him to present the Quran but if you read it you can see why he would be so enthusiastic.
I study the Bible and the Quran and both books get unfair treatment, especially the Quran for being accused of saying things which are actually in the Bible rather than the Quran.
I have read the Quran many times over and have yet to find any verses calling for violence other than justified defense after being attacked.
Muslims at the moment need to stand by Christians since Satanists in the US are focusing on the majority Christians and will then turn their attention on the Muslims, and Muslims need to understand that an attack against Jesus is an attack against Islam since Muslims believe in Jesus and are awaiting his return.
In the mean time both followers of Jesus should focus on the real enemy instead of bickering over our small differences.

Stuff folks might not notice that this fella does that can help keep you ticking when you are completely alone. Notice deliberate, measured steps in his walking motion which helps prevent twisting and over-extension injuries. He bends at the knees, even when arranging the campfire or retrieving small objects at ground level, preventing lower back strains. Leather cover for his axe; always hung on a branch where it won't be inadvertently buried. Leather cover back on the axe right after it's use is completed. These aren't just good camping ideas, they're good basic survival practices.
