  • 4th Ritchie Blackmore solo. B-side of Never Before, but it has been added on the most recent versions of Machine Head album.
No slow version of the whole solo has it's already pretty slow.
The next one will be from a Rainbow song...

    Oh boy!
    It was very emotional.
Not because of the beautiful solo alone, but my father loved very much the band, and he was very angry, that they didn't put this beautiful song onto the Machine Head. At that time we could not by "western" albums, only made in Yugoslavia, or on Hungarian version. We have recorded the good songs on casette from Radio Luxemburg, Mono quality (of course), and it was not allowed, but we were rebels! 😂
I have bought the whole album only in 1986, that was already a little bit easier time for us.
My father loved this song, so do I still.
But what REALY makes me cry is the Ritchie Sambora cover, and the video clip for this song.
It's like a short film, simply beautiful, and I never can stop my tears fallin'.
If you don't know this cover, please check it brother!
But you surely know what I'm talkin' about.
So, thank you, and see you!
    Good nite!

Thanks for letting me know about Sambora cover, I will check it out!
This song is so beautiful, shame it wasn't on the original Machine Head. I heard it was because Richie Blackmore didn't like it and didn't want it on the album.

@@StephLeGratteux Same here. I remember the same story. But it's realy a shame.
For me it's one of the best Purple song ever written.
For Godness sake I could buy the B side album, it's a long and fantastic album (CD), it's worth to listen once.
Try to get it somehow bro!
And I love the Rainbiw too, especially the Dio era. The Rising is a genious album, one of my fav of all time. I have bought it in casette in Vienna 1985, when I was for the first time in the "West".
My aunt (the younger sister of my grandma) was living in a beautiful place, at the edge of the town.
I have beautiful memories, but it was a very long time ago.
So, I am waiting for the next song. See ya my friend!!
      Bonne nuit! 🤗👍

      Bonne jour Steph!
The RUclips algorhytm gave me a very nice "souvenir" a couple of minutes ago.
I thought immediately that I should share it with my friend.
It's a very interesting, and pretty new rendition for this song sang by our good old Bruce Dickinson with his supergroup & an orchestra.
      I found it realy wonderful.
I cannot link, but try to find it, it's realy worth to.
Have a nice day brother! 👍

@@peternemes6770 I know Dickinson's version you're talking about! I have listened to it years ago but I don't remember how it sounds though, so I'll have to listen again 😅
Yesterday I've listened to Sambora's cover, it's great of course but I think he's doing a bit too much on vocals especially. Gillan sang it with more simplicity and it was great that way.
It's funny because I've never been a huge fan of Ian Gillan after he left DP (and still not a huge fan after the 1984 reunion), BUT during the golden years of DP I think he was unbeatable. This is why I think nobody can't sing When A Blind Man Cries better than him, or Child in Time, etc

@@StephLeGratteux Yes, because of Gillen I understand what do you mean. Before he left THAT tines where the high times for him, and for the band too (it doesn't mean, that I don't love Stormbringer, Burn, and after the reunion they have done that fantastic Perfect strangers album!).
Maybe that was his peak point.
But in the Sambora version I see the story too, and I see the whole production in complete.
Dickinson is a bit tired, but he is still Dickinson, and always will be.
One of the best vocalist in the world of rock/metal - and one of my fav forever!
      Up the Irons!! 🤘✌️👍❤️
It's not in vein that I call it a rendition instead of a cover.
It's a very nice version with the orchestra, and of course different as the original. There is no reason for me to compare the three different versions, which one is better or worse. No reason,' cause they are totally different.
Btw the Dickinson's was recorded in Sofia this year. I meant that one, bro.
      So, ok.
That's enough about it (maybe more than enough).
      What about your hand!?
      Are you healthy?
Wish you a good weekend my friend!! 🍻😁👍
