I do agree to the fact that the time to which The prophet( peace be upon him )belonged was a time of Faseks Jalems and Musharik those who worshipped gods for worldly benifits the entities that were symbolic of the forces of Nature . For example the gods of Rig Vedas , Greeks, mesopotamia etc But they did also attained Wisdom on later ages and their religion became monotheistic . Upanishads says that this universe is permeated by the essence of one single supreme principle thats termed ब्रह्म beyond the reach of Nature and material senses . So It would be a incorrect statement if you say that entire Hinduism is a Joke or Buddhism or Jainism or sikhism .
You grasped it pretty well but first islam is a deen , Qur'an says the only deen accepted in the sight of Allah is islam. Now a deen is a way of life , it contains ethics, laws on Every level of life, solutions to problems & most importantly it must be in a sphere that can be inspected by a human to verify that indeed it is a revelation by God not human, it must not contains errors or contradictions within itself or established facts of nature. Even if a religion that leads to monotheism after a particular era , it already destroyed the life of people who lived by it and died , they will never get salvation or paradise, it may benefit a generation that followed the revised version of it , now 2nd thing is even if it leads to monotheism it may not lead to correct way of monotheism, even Sikhs also believe in mono & some Hindus too like Late Swami Agnivesh & many acharyas. After all it is better to live by a book that challenges its reader to produce a similar chapter & asks to contemplate the creation, than to live on assumption that this way might be correct & it will be late if u find out that way is not correct.
Surah najam was revealed in 5th nawabi in which angel Jabreel was seen by hazrat Muhammad SAW and 2nd time was seen at Meraaj that occurred in 9th or 10th nabawi. How is this 2nd event told 5 years earlier to mushrikin and they did not say what are you talking about ? .Nouman ali, please answer. I asked many learned people and didn't get any answer . Many well known Mufassers do not even mention this discrepancy like you did not talk about it.
