Looks like you all had a good time, but you should know that trail was closed for many years due to damage to that meadow you all drove around in along the river crossing. They put all those logs in as barriers to indicate you shouldn't do this. It is definitely not good that your RUclips video is one of the first hits when you search "Deer Vally" and then demonstrates this behavior, as it'll encourage others who aren't well educated to do the same. This is a clear path to getting that trail closed permanently - please don't do it.
Stay off the meadow! Cross the stream only at the trail and not on the creeks ledge. Is it that hard to control yourselves.. Jesus, you guys want to get the trail closed again? Well that will do it.
@@SnailTrail4x4 - My first real wheeling trip in my '04 Tacoma DC was with Cha about three years ago. We did a day trip to Bald Mountain (vid on my channel). Gonna try to do Strawberry Pass, Deer Valley, and Slick Rock July 2-4. Enjoying watching your trips to all the "local" spots.
Looks like you had a fun trip!! I hit Slick Rock at least once a month during the season but I’ve never done deer valley. How would you rate it? If your ever looking for a tag along or two message us here on RUclips. We (KNOTHEADS JEEP CLUB) are always looking for new people to wheel with!
Rc we should try to plan a trip to run slick rock one day then cruise over to deer valley!!! Maybe even a snow run? 😁 check out my new videos and let me know what you guys think!!
SnailTrail4x4 Witch locker you recommend for this 90’s Toyota’s? I have one and I’m planning on making a crawler , but I still going to use as my daily drive.
@@celsogama9044 If you have the money I would do an E-Locker or ARB Locker, if your trying to save I would get a Detroit Locker. I drove Bobcat as my daily for many years with a Detroit in the front and rear. (Benefit of Toyota's hubs is that you can turn them off and having a locker in the front doesn't effect anything.
SnailTrail4x4 thank you for your reply! I want to go budget on this, Detroit locker is my first option. The front I can disengage but I wonder if the back will pop every time I make a turn and ruin my tires, I think there is one that turns on and off automatically is it any good?

It's definitely easier then slick rock but it's a fun and beautiful trail. The trail is quite scenic, and the river crossings are always fun

Such a rad trip dude! Those drone shots are bitchin! With us in the river
Yeah they are, that was a fun trail, and worth it for that lunch spot.
Hahaha the JL fender
what is the smallest tire you'd recommend for the trail?
33
That wouldn't happen to be Brad that got his ME degree from CSUS is it?
It might be, I dont know where he got his degree or what it was in.
Do you use any diff locker?
Yes, every rig had at least the rear diff locked

@@celsogama9044 Detroit only activate when your on the gas (giving it power) If your coasting around a corner then they will not activate.
