Some here have criticized Michael Buble for covering this song saying he's not rock and roll enough. True, he isn't. I think the sound he was shooting for is Big Band, in that context, I believe he has done a Fine job of covering it.

Every song he sings is GREAT.
Yes this cover isnt really 'rock n roll', but what Michael has done is add originality. There wouldn't be any point in realeasing this if it was the same. Anyways Michael has done a very good job with this.
Michael does standards and has a big band sound, but original pop songs that are actually quite good and not mundane droll as new pop artists and songs go, these days!!!
Eagles' is of course the best but Buble does a really good job on this cover.

The band arrangement is the key to this cover's success.
Don't hate it, but don't love it - the edge to the song is missing. Nothing wrong with his voice etc.

Rock and roll is all about raw masculine sexual energy. Women like Tina turner and etta james have it. Gay guys like little richard and freddy mercury had it. The Eagles had it.
Michael buble and cliff richard do not have it. Its not in them. Theyre the opposite to rock and roll. Theyre the limp, innofensive, pleasant and shouldnt be allowed within 50feet of rock and roll
