Why am I getting skipped stitches on the back of my fabric while using the twin needle on knit fabric? Topstitching neckline interfacing in between. Btw, I on a skyline S3. Using a Schmet’s twin needle ballpoint Gray crossbar.
Susan, it is difficult to evaluation this issue virtually, but sometimes this can happen if the machine is not threaded properly. Also make sure you are using sharp, new needles, and that you have the tension adjusted correctly for your fabric. Definitely try a swatch of the fabric you are sewing with to play with the tension and see if this helps. Happy Sewing!
@@JanomeJAI brand new needle opened it just for this. Every time I saw skip stitches I would re-thread. Each time threaded correctly. I did not adjust tension but it was on auto. I would think that wouldn’t matter according to all of the videos and written articles I’ve read on Janome. Auto tension is the reason I bought it
@@MC1RPOSITIVESusieQ We recommend reviewing pages 58 and 59 of your instruction manual to make sure everything is set up properly. Yes Janome machines have automatic tension - but for specialty sewing such as using twin needles, sometimes an adjustment is needed.

Can u use the twin needle for lettering
Kathryn, we recommend reading the part of your machine's instruction manual for twin needles, most manuals have a list of which stitches can be used with a twin needle. For most machines, the answer is no, a twin needle cannot be used for lettering.
@@JanomeJAI thanks I know sometimes y can change the settings but thought I would get an expert opinion. I am a little disappointed with the lettering on the s7 so I was looking for little tricks
