I work in funeral serivce and we have a closet full of unclaimed cremated remains. Recently went through and took ones that were a 100+ years old and scattered them in a pretty peaceful area. That to me, Is the best thing you can do when creamted remains aren't able to get in the hands of a loved one.
@resalerabbit I use a lot of that thinking when I buy storage units. So funny story, I bought a 5x5 unit, and it was all trash bags. Did it cause I couldn't resist a mystery. I was thinking all trash or clothes or both. No, these people moved their entire apartment in full size contractor garbage bags. I'm talking dishes, glassware, pots & pans, cleaning supplies, clothes, kids' toys, electronics, appliances & more. There were 35 bags 4 feet high in this unit; including a TV and a car tire buried in the pile. Anything breakable was broken, chemicals leaking, surprising the TV still worked. I paid $25 all in for the unit, a Nintendo Switch I found in one of the bags. It was wrapped in a towe, itl paid for the unit & more.
I have been buying storage units for almost 40 years now and what Resale Rabbit spilled the beans on, I totally agree with him, we have very similar thoughts. I was hoping he came across the unit that sold over $2,000 with the trailer in it.
I guess I can share one piece of information because it kind of saves the environment maybe a little bit. “If it weighs it pays.” if it’s metal just collect it or if there’s enough metal in one unit goes straight to the scrapyard and then get paid to get rid of that instead of just throwing it in the trash.
Just a trick if you care about that, from PC you can right click and show image in new tab/window, then edit the url where it gives the size of the picture (like 640x480 or similar) and change that to 1920x1920, the site will regenerate the thumbnail until one of the sides hit 1920. It might help with extremely small images.
From what I understand which is not a whole bunch is that here in Texas storage facilities only keep what is owed and the discount goes to family or whomever they find from personal paperwork
Starting to look like Forrest gump just before he goes on his run. Hope you find some Nike shoes in them totes. Think you'll need them over the ext couple days😂😂😂😂
Also all those units that you were looking at that had ended were all like 7-10 years old so prices on the units have probably changed from then as well.
I also research the renters thru the legals to get their names so I could research them more. It was useful especially at live auctions where there is no preview of the units but they open them one at a time as they sell them. I might pass an early iffy one if i know the last unit was owned by a famous collector that died or I might bid early when i know all the rest of the units were known drug abusers, they already sold what they had that had value for their next fix already so i might as well take an early unit. .
Newspapers can only be found at an old person's house. 😂 Was that Raiken on your computer? Is he still pushing his "training" courses? I have not watched him in a minute.
As long as I’m confirmed dead. If I’m missing, no body, no selling. I don’t want a Tom hanks situation where I come back 4 years later and all my stuff is gone.
I hope you have made a will so your rubbish can go to loved ones. The Green Bay Historical Society that you volunteer would be interested in a lot of most likely

My family has been notified: I'm taking my stuff with me. It wasn't easy finding a hearse with a trailer hitch, but they exist.
Excellente !!!!!!!! 🤗❤️👍🙋🏻♀️

Yep, being a scrapper helps with buying storage units

You also find people that subscribe and read the newspapers in jail and prison, lol
I use to do a ton of storage units but as I get older the #1 thing I look for is no large furniture! My back just can't take it anymore.
Super interesting. I can see how some of those storage auctions could get addictive... "What's in the box?! What's in the box?!"
Perfect. Just when I was looking for something to watch while eating breakfast.
Rabbit is looking ruggedly handsome
As mover it’s funny I packed crap before 😂 love the videos looking into units for the first time
I do love your humor 😂. Thank you John
Way to go john😊
Did anyone else just hear Oscar the Grouch singing "I Love Trash" after Rabbit was talking about it?
Very interesting video, honest and informative. I can't believe you said you were a hoarder proudly.
I would prefer not to smell other people's strong unit garbage Lol 🤣 . Keep up the good work rabbit
You a first class business person

YEAAA!!!
I feel like I just watched a master class

I’ve been hitting jackpots. There’s a couple of other things I also look for. Good luck everybody
Avoid the cat piss smell unit.
mattresses can be recycled but often the dumps charge an extra fee to accept them

Thanks for letting us know about the good and bad dumps. Do you have to clean up at some and not at others?

If you have trouble zooming in.screencap and zoom in on the saved image.
You need to oil your chair lol...I thought it was MY chair making the noise 🙃
Why did someone pay 26 bucks for that one? Remember when you got into a bidding war for unit with two boxes in it?
Insider info about the tenant 😂
24:00 We have cremains. His name is Joseph. He has been living with us for years. I keep meaning to ship him back to the crematorium.
❤
So it's okay to sell your stuff after you pass?
As long as I’m confirmed dead. If I’m missing, no body, no selling. I don’t want a Tom hanks situation where I come back 4 years later and all my stuff is gone.
What do you do with all the clothes?
I hope you have made a will so your rubbish can go to loved ones.

I just think you should have bought one just to check your theory
He's got plenty of videos for the ones he's bought in the past
