    Hey buddy.
Try Kitsune gis. I recommend the Red Sky, when it comes back in stock. Minimal, comfortable, heavy duty and so far best gi I've owned. Steer clear of white Gis, they tend to undergo more fabric changes over time compared to colored fabrics. I believe that's got to do with how the fabrics are treated.
After Kitsune, I'd recommend a Kingz Classic (again, cotton pants and not ripstop), and Flow Kimonos. Flow kimonos are nice.
The fancy and expensive gis with hectic decals and embroidery really prey upon a fashion aspect of jiu jitsu that sucks people in, in my opinion of course, and I think they put more time and effort into the aesthetic than the function. Hence why you got something that looked nice in photos and on their website, but in practice wasn't as practical and high quality for the price you paid.
    Take care!
** Lastly, highly recommend cold washing and using a laundry disinfectant too. No need for an expensive one, just find a cheaper laundry detergent or use dettol. Use softener sparingly, and avoid drying from wet to bone-dry in the sun. I'd say let the final part of the dry happen inside through glass or just in shade.
(9 years of bjj laundry experience)

Wow, thanks for the heads up on this! Thanks Ritchie 🙏🏾
What are your thoughts on Hyperfly gis?

@@dvampofo They're ok, personally not my favorite, as a brand they place heavy emphasis on light weight gis for competition use. I've gone off of all ripstop pant / lightweight gis because for me the material just doesn't stay nice for as long, and ripstop despite the name has been the only material to give me wear and tear issues, with exception to Flow Kimonos. If you can, get a Flow or Datsusara Hemp gi, but if you have to get a light weight, Flow would be my brand of choice

@@dvampofo But again, highly recommend a Kitsune brand gi, specifically a Red Skies in either blue or black. My white red skies was my last white gi and confirmed my theory on material change over time.
Then Kingz Classic, which by the way is very reasonably priced. Both of these gis have heavy cotton pants. Subjective preference, I just think the cotton pants are better.

@@RichieStrumCodeWrestle Kitsune stood out to me the most because of the design and apparel line.
I've check out Flow Kimonos and know of Kingz since quite a few of my teammates wear this brand.
I'll keep these last 2 in mind for sure.
