Our Favourite Yorkshire Dales Walk

  • Just before the beginning of July, every year the Yorkshire Dales village of Muker had a host of wildflower meadows, which you can walk through and wallow in the beauty of a traditional English countryside. We park at Muker and walk through the wildflower meadows and the 3 miles to the small village of Keld, where we head for the local farmers café to enjoy a cold drink in the sunshine before making our way back to the car. One of our favourite walks in the Yorkshire Dales, as always, it did not disappoint.

Tearooms closed on a bloody Wednesday!!! These people deserve to go bust! A beautiful walk amongst wonderful scenery and old stone buildings, plus Mrs METALMAN also looked stunning. Is the weather always that good up north? Another farm tea shop closed due to family emergency1 surely somebody could hold the fort? Beautiful walk and going for a drink on the way is fun and a closed pub a pain, so good to check out in advance when to go! 😊

    Hi , Alan,
Isn't it gorgeous, a blanket of yellow and white wildflowers?
Aweee, Mrs. Metalman is like walking on French countryside. 1:18 lovely! those dry stone walls and a building constructed with similar stones are not seen in the US.
Oh, no..roofless 2:11 Do you know what happened to those buildings?
Fascinating trail marker on the stone 2:41
Awee how sweet story about the first meet of both of you.
Thank you for your patience on my belated comment. I fell during filming my hike and that left me nasty bloody knees, bruises and muscle ache. Well, ciao until next time.

Your genre of music is also most agreeable. Are you by any chance at Wembley this weekend for the Def Leppard/Motley Crue gig? If so, ill buy you a pint if our paths cross.

It's a 6 mile walk there and back so you can make it last as long as you want really, we really enjoy it, especially at this time of the year when all the wild flowers are out. Normally we have something hot to eat and cold to drink at Keld, so in the nice weather, we will stop well over an hour just chilling out, which we both also enjoy. Thanks very much for stopping by, cheers Alan
