Casey Jones by the Grateful Dead from their 1969 studio album, Workingman's Dead. The videos were taken while my family and I were on Amtrak's Empire Builder.
This is the train voyage from Cut Bank, MT to Browning, MT. I used to live at 0:02 up on the ridge afar. I was blown away when I realized and I had your video for months now.
While I'm not a major Deadhead (aside from a few songs like this), I think it would've been awesome and fun to be one. Just following the band around, smoking weed, and living a carefree, fun life without any big responsibilities.
thanks brother for the video, I was trying to find Casey Jones and Its was taking for ever to load on another with more hits. Thanks, bro, lets get this to 1 million.
I really enjoyed the train ride as I listened to this now "standard". Most of the landscape looks like the high plains of Nebraska, and Wyoming. Nice use of home video.
“If the Grateful Dead came to town, I’d beat my way in with a fucking tire iron, if necessary. I think Workingman’s Dead is the heaviest thing since Highway 61 and “Mr. Tambourine Man”” -Hunter S. Thompson
Brian Casser went by the name "Casey Jones" in his band "Casey Jones and his Engineers". Clapton joined their band back in 1963 for a short time. No mention if it inspired this classic, but makes one wonder!
1992-06-20 - RFK Stadium Washington, DC coming out of space complete with the billy train horn liken to slap everyone in the face wow was that a show. One of my favorite shows and songs and I believe it was the first time in 7 years the did this song
Busted 1974, drug squad took us to a garage where they had a stolen car. (I was just staying in the spare room looking for a flat). Jane and Ann started dancing in the garage when they switched on the car stereo and this came on.

Great song I have always loved it but this should teach you about what musicians and poets do to history....Casey Jones never took cocaine.
How do you know he didn't ⁉️🤔
Someone did some coke in the beginning of this, listen
TRAINS ROCK, people. Use them instead of commercial air flights... Your Karma will rise if you do that.....
I've heard this one b4, it's OK...very 1960's. A lot of better ones though....what's the obsession with driving, trucking and cocaine?
Who doesn't love truckin, driving and cocaine??? lol
Oh, god...that sounds like hell. So boring, I guess that's why you need the blow.
