If you believe that Jesus Christ is your personal Saviour and Lord and resurrected from death, you are saved and will go to Heaven one day for eternity. If you don't, you are not saved and will go to Hell one day for eternity.
@@friend904 if you repent of your sins and turn from wickedness and accept the gift of salvation. Many churchs wants very badly to leave out the repenting and turning from sin. It's an incomplete gospel without repentance.

Thank you Thank you!!!!!! Most of the people I know who say they are Christians become angry at me for using the word of God to correct their false teaching.
@Samuel Lewis it wouldn't matter how anyone says something. I allow the Holy Spirit to lead and I speak in a calm way. I do not mock or demean I simply repeat what God says in His word. Did the apostles do it wrong because they were martyred? Did Christ do it wrong because He was killed? NO, those who do not like a message in our culture now will assign fault to us because someone refused to listen.
@Samuel Lewis Almost all the apostles were martyred for their faith, did they not say something the right way? Many people use the delivery for an excuse to refuse to listen. They don't like the answer so they say you said that the wrong way. I run into it all the time. When we are led by the Holy Spirit it will be said the way God wants it said. Even a strong rebuke can be from God. If you search words like "rebuke" or "strong rebuke" you will see that at times it is necessary. Most people camp on "a gentle answer" and will not talk about rebukes, correction and instruction. Even instruction these days is seen as rude because we are living in an arrogant culture.
@Samuel Lewis Remember Jesus began His ministry being baptised by John, the Holy Spirit descended on Him, and the Father saying, "This is my beloved Son, in whom I am well pleased." In all Jesus did, He was controlled, empowered by the Holy Spirit, yet people got so angry they crucified Him. Do you think it was maybe His method, that He should have modified it in some way?

Best concise message on this subject that I have heard. The word says the truth will set you free- when I teach I point to this scripture - if you are in bondage in an area of your life you are believing a lie, you have been taught incorrectly or misunderstood His word. You are believing a lie. If you have His truth found in His word you will be free; your life will bear fruit.
Just read through the scriptures from Genesis 1:1 to revelations 22:21. Ask for WISDOM . Read the whole scripture through in a year as a goal . It will. Help you .
Number 4 really spoke to me. When I was a strong believer in Calvinism I struggled so much with worship. Maybe not the entire time but now looking back I definitely had a skewed view of who God is. First of all I'm not an Armenian. My mind is not completely decided on whether or not we have a free will or on the extent of that free will. I don't know if God just hand picked certain people to be saved or not but I do know that when I focus on that it's disturbing to me. I do however now believe strongly that scripture doesn't teach or support the doctrine of limited atonement. That's just twisting words. It's clear that Jesus died for ALL. It says that he is the savior of all men. He's not willing that any should perish but that all should come to repentance. And NO I'm absolutely NOT a universalist, that doctrine is ridiculous! There are too many verses, passages and so on that show that Jesus died for everyone! 2 Peter 2:1 is the most clear verse on this, it says: "But false prophets also arose among the people, just as there will be false teachers among you, who will secretly bring in destructive heresies, EVEN DENYING THE MASTER WHO BOUGHT THEM, bringing upon themselves swift destruction.".Emphasis mine. It doesn't get any clearer than that! I've heard Calvinists say that there biggest problem with that is that Jesus couldn't die to save someone who ultimately doesn't end up being saved. I don't understand that logic at all! Also, how can anyone reject Christ's salvation if Christ didn't offer it to them in the first place? If Christ didn't die for them than they aren't rejecting his grace or his salvation. It was never there to begin with. Please don't say how gracious God is to them by delaying his wrath, a thing that Calvinists call common grace. Yes there is common grace but in the context of Calvinism, is it really grace? Jesus said himself that it would be better to have never been born than to end up in hell. I do believe that God is in control and Sovereign but does that have to mean that we are robots or puppets who's every move, thought, decision, action is directly made by God? Isn't God Sovereign enough to still be able to be in control and give us free will. This is a paradox that we can't understand whether we're Calvinists or not. Why try to act as though we can have this all figured out and make it into a 5 point doctrinal system? There are some things we just can't understand. Besides doesn't God want us to love him genuinely? I definitely believe in eternal security, I believe that if someone is truly saved there is going to be fruit. I may go as far as to say that I even believe in the P in TULIP, the perseverance of the Saints. But I'm unsure about a lot of the rest of Calvinist doctrine right now, I'm searching the scriptures prayerfully to discover the truth, that's all I want is truth. Whether I like it all or not. I know he's good no matter what. I'm removing the lenses, the presuppositions etc. so that I can see clearly what the scriptures are saying and teaching. I feel like a lot of Calvinists are reading scripture through a Calvinist lense. I notice that they quote other Calvinist teachers more than they quote scripture and more than any non Calvinist believers and teachers quote other Christian teachers, authors etc. All I know from my own experience is that when I stopped focusing on this doctrine and stopped trying to figure it all out, my worship of God became better, stronger and more genuine. I have more peace, I've grown more as a Christian. I feel like I see Characteristics and attributes in God that I didn't see before. I'm still interested in this topic and I like hearing both views, although there's more than two. It's not just a choice between Calvinism and Armenianism. There are many places in between. So did Calvinism lead me into spiritual growth, no I don't believe so.
This is tricky. There are true doctrines that are sometimes applied heretically. As a charismatic believer, I often see MacArthur and his like reject the ongoing charismata on the basis of the wacky behaviour of some people who wrongly claim to practice them. On the contrary, I would say that cessationalist doctrine fails the first 3 tests while 'looking' respectable.
Brother.. I have been wrestling with doctrinal issues lately. Even though there was wrestling involved God always win. 🙌 Thank you for making this video. It's such an encouragement to all!
Great guide in today's world of false teachers, bad doctrine and mis-guided followers. It all leads back: to the sufficency and complete reliability and perfection of the Word; to the deity of Christ; to Christ's bodily death on the cross and bodily resurrection which is God's work of salvation and atonement toward us; to the Word constantly showing us and the Spirit constantly leading us and convicting us of sin so that we are conformed more and more to the image of Christ; and to the sovereignty and divine perogative of the Triune God to His absolute glory. Thanks for this!!
I love and believe firmly everything you say is true. The most popular false teaching going on today is...that Jesus changed the Sabbath or that the apostles changed it because Jesus rose on Sun day. Malachi 3:6 "I am the Lord thy God, I do not change" John 14:15 Jesus said"If you love me, keep my commandments" Revelation tells us the patience of the saints, those who keep the commandments of God and the faith of Jesus Christ. We know the change happened hundreds of years after the death of Jesus Christ. But if we dare to explain to a Sun day worship pastor, the claws come out. I've heard many kind hearted preachers come against the 7th day Sabbath with contept. The only commandment that starts w (Remember) we know that the bible when speaking of antichrist says that he thinks to change times and laws. And yet this topic is so hard for self proclaimed bible scolars to recognize. This is SAD. Sooo sad.
This man is wholly in line with God's Holy Word. If I lived in his town I would attend his place of worship.Thank God there are still Christian leaders in the Great Commission of equipping the saints.
How does someone with the mark of the beast grant you confidence they are of God? Sin is the mark of the beast. My works are PERFECT as God is PERFECT because Jesus is my WORKS and Jesus is Perfect. So by my fruit it is clear I am of God because Jesus is my FRUIT. But the author of this channel has the make upon his hands and forehead for the works of his hands are stained with sin and he has a carnal mind which is enmity with God. Flee all his teachings for he preaches that which is abomination to God-he preaches the mark of the beast is mandatory to be saved for he preaches all who are saved have sinz
Andy A that chapter is speaking BEFORE one is born again. Read 1 John 3 which is written on how to distinguish who is saved and who’s a son of the devil. 1 John 3:4-9 “whoever sins is of his father the devil who was a sinner since the beginning”. And again “whoever sins does not know God for in him there is no sin”. And again “whoever is BORN of God does NOT sin for his seed remains in him and he CANNOT SIN”. The seed is my seal. Whereas sin is the mark of the beast.

In the Bible it speaks of the lasts days and many “believers” falling away to false doctrine or creating teachers for themselves to follow their own ways instead of Gods.
There is only one test for sound doctrine. Does it line up with New Testament scripture. Most Christians do not know the scriptures well enough to know the difference. Ephesians 4:14-15 KJVS [14] That we henceforth be no more children, tossed to and fro, and carried about with every wind of doctrine, by the sleight of men, and cunning craftiness, whereby they lie in wait to deceive; [15] But speaking the truth in love, may grow up into him in all things, which is the head, even Christ:
The best test of doctrine is to make sure if any doctrine lines up with BOTH the Old and New Testament. The WHOLE COUNSEL of God. When the Apostles were going out into the world to preach and save souls, the only written scriptures they had during their lifetimes was the Old Testament. The Bereans, who were complimented by the Apostle Paul were Jewish believers in Jesus and tested everything the Apostles said to them in the Tenach or Old Testament. In fact, that is what we should be doing, too....testing the New Testament scripture to the Old Testament prophecies and doctrine for affirmation that we are interpreting God's word correctly. One of the reasons we have such dissension in the Church today is because hundreds of years ago Pastors ignored the Old Testament completely which means that if there was New Testament scripture that needed clarity in their minds, they just trusted their own instincts instead of checking earlier scripture first to verify their interpretation. And many church Pastors today continue the same practice which is why we are having so much apostasy happening in the church now. www.gotquestions.org/who-Bereans.html
Marcia Diehl John 15:26 KJVS [26] But when the Comforter is come, whom I will send unto you from the Father, even the Spirit of truth, which proceedeth from the Father, he shall testify of me: 1 John 2:20,27 KJVS [20] But ye have an unction from the Holy One, and ye know all things. [27] But the anointing which ye have received of him abideth in you, and ye need not that any man teach you: but as the same anointing teacheth you of all things, and is truth, and is no lie, and even as it hath taught you, ye shall abide in him. Most church denominations bridal the Spirit of truth in order to advance their doctrine/organizations, Eph 4:14. EricSmyth14 It is like asking us to look at the Baghdad Vita or the Koran for a bad verse. you cannot use the counterfeit as a way to judge or discern the truth, you look at the original, the source of truth, the word of God contained in the Bible KVJ. The original is the Bible and all religions and christian denominations came up with their own rules and traditions or versions of their truth, but there is only one truth. We ask the holy spirit to teach and lead us into all truth.
Curious how the Church in Berea could examine the "Bible" in the first century? I think by "scriptures" they would have to be talking about the Old Testament. Possibly some different gospels and letters too? Many, many "gospels" were floating around in the early days of the church before the council of Nicea chose the 4 main gospels and the letters to be included in the Bible.
Good thought. Maybe back then they relied on the Word being spoken - revelation epistemology? Those that were speaking from God were given the gifts of the Holy Spirit to authenticate that they were truly from the one and true living God?
NO OTHER GOSPEL "For I (Paul) determined not to know any thing among you, save Jesus Christ, and Him crucified." [1 Corinthians 2: 2] "But though we, or an angel from heaven, preach any other gospel unto you than that which we have preached unto you, let him be accursed." [Galatians 1: 8] ✝️

When doctrines don't align with the foundational teachings and beliefs of the Patriarchs, the Bible prophets, the teachings of Jesus-Christ and the initial apostles. If you notice that your soul is not being purified and that your faith is weak after listening to your regular Bible teachers. False doctrines will always lead one to sin. This is the test.
I completely agree with the first three points. Great presentation. However, I think the last two points are only applicable to certain specific doctrines, and therefore should not generally be used to determine whether or not a doctrine is false. A doctrine is either true or false REGARDLESS of how it affects or fails to affect someone's life. No doubt, poor spiritual growth and bad lifestyle CAN be a visible symptom of bad doctrine, but correlation does not always equal causation. That's exactly how many of the cult leaders attract so many followers. They seem to be spiritual powerhouses on the outside even though their doctrine is false. There are many differing doctrines that do not affect our spiritual growth nor our lifestyle. For instance, trinitarian vs non-trinitarian doesn't, on it's own, affect either point 4 or 5. Neither does Calvinism vs non-Calvinism, nor the various eschatalogical views that pervade Christian circles, nor many other doctrinal differences that divide the numerous church denominations across the planet. There are loads of folks on both sides of these issues who are absolutely as godly as each other. I believe doctrinal truth and spiritual strength, though related, need to be handled for the most part on their own merits. That said, I'm on board with points 1-3. But always remember... context, context, context! 😁
when people speak, of the Bible being inerrant they are not refering to the text, that we have....but the original ones, and terms and gramarical tenses, become confusing, over time....

I get kicked out of, or at least not welcomed back to a lot of churches went after the sermon they asked me “what did you think“. I tell them. I quote Bible scriptures that contradict their teachings. For some reason they are offended by the truth. Needless to say, I don’t attend any church any more.
Most of the church world believes false doctrine of one form or another. Most believe major false doctrines, most believe they have the truth, most believe they have been born again and continue to live in sin, they are a very religious people, (so was Cain). but just like Jesus said in Revelations 3:17, this last church age church would be poor, blind, naked and wretched and they wouldn't know it. In the garden of Eden, they were naked before the fall and didn't know it. (they were covered by the Holy Spirit) Now they are naked and they don't know it. (they are covered by the Unholy spirit) I wonder if they realize, to believe any false doctrine over the true revealed Word is to worship satan and not God. Remember that is all that Eve did in the beginning, she believed one little lie. I pray they ask for eye salve and that the Lord may grant it, so that their eyes might be opened before the quickly closing door is closed for good.
Ive been told that if I don’t become a formal member of a local church and sign the covenant with them that I am in disobedience to God. Does that qualify it as a doctrine? If so does this doctrine pass the test?

@@aaamenpreacher3 is that all that you have? God said, "Let us make man in *our* image", and He did. He made Adam. Adam was not 3 persons in 1, he was just 1 man. No trinity there, in fact it disproves the trinity. The phrase used is called, "majestic plural". It does not denote God is talking about someone else, just as a king might say, "we are not amused" when talking of himself alone. From wikipedia: "The royal we, or majestic plural (pluralis majestatis), is the use of a plural pronoun (or corresponding plural-inflected verb forms) to refer to a single person who is a monarch. @@TheDonovanFisher Well if you want to look at it that way man was made triune too. (1Th 5:23) And the very God of peace sanctify you wholly; and I pray God your whole spirit and soul and body be preserved blameless unto the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ. I guess that proves the trinity.
Thank you for this. Why don't you talk about the Church and the Ecumenical Councils and Creeds? I can see why the Church has fragmented with a multitude of different groups each with a different interpretation when your approach is followed. What the early Christians believed is important and what was agreed when they met together in the Councils. The problem is that each generation has a different point of view and differs from previous generations and doctrine keeps changing.
thats because at the end of the first century falsehood crept in so the apostles warned us, then the christians loved the romans more than scripture by the third century so they twisted it by adding constantines pagan beliefs into christianity like the roman trinity. When the true christians tried to correct the false christians the true christians were classed as heretics, this has happened all through the centuries false christians persecuting true christians, so in a nut shell, any church coming from the nicean creed period to now is probably a false church, except small churches that follow the apostles teachings not mans that are the true church

I think God deliberately made it unclear on certain issues. If everything is clear, we may idolize our rationale or our Bible. Both are not God, both should not be idolized. Our differences make us humble before God's perfect wisdom.

True doctrine can be unfamiliar when the false doctrine is dominant in the culture. The Bible tells us that we can read the book of nature to gain theological doctrines, therefore there may be something found there which isn't in the Scripture. For example, the laws of science are an attempt to find God's plans for how the world works, but they are not found in the Scripture. Rather, the Bible tells us where to go look for them.
Excellent tests. But he says "the five tests", as though it's been established that there are five. I'm pretty sure there are more than 5 exegetical tools to discern between true and false. Other than that, great video.
What do you think about this doctrine? The Bible talks about “clouds” going up and down with people going in and out. Clouds do not make those movements described in the Bible but spaceships do. Jesus ascended in a “cloud” (Acts 1:9). God rides in a “cloud” (Isaiah 19:1, Psalm 104:3). Jesus will come back “with” the “clouds” (Mat 26:64, Rev 1:7). Jesus will come back commanding a fleet of starships. The church will be raptured “in” the “clouds” (I Thess. 4:17). Spaceships will be used to rapture the church. The ancient did not have vocabulary or knowledge to understand what they saw so they called the flying objects “clouds”, “chariots”, and “pillars”, because was the words they had to describe something flying in the sky. The Bible even tells in Psalm 68:17 how many spaceships are in the fleet “The chariots of God are tens of thousands and thousands of thousands” (about 20,000). There is a good research done by Patrick Cooke called “The Great Deception - The Bible UFO Connection” which has the original words describing spaceships. It is all over the Bible. Jesus is real. He is the savior of the world but He is not seating in a puffy cloud. He is commanding a powerful army, which will take control of our planet.

I agree with what you are saying but what are examples of true doctrine verse false doctrine. You do not have to point out specific persons (or groups), but examples such as the deity of Christ verse those who relegate Jesus to a mere mortal. Examples (at least for myself) make it easier to identify truth from fabrication.
Sir I would invite you to watch some thought on protestant reformation by Billy h on RUclips you both have been helpful to me sparing me from worry in some matters God bless
There is much that is right with the Catholic doctrine. There are big issues but each man and woman must understand what saves. The blood of Jesus alone. All who teach will be judged on their teaching. Teaching what is known to be wrong is wrong.
@@michaelbrickley2443 The issue Jesus would have with them, is that they preach a gospel of grace plus works, which is not another gospel, simply heresy.
Carl Jones, there is a mix of that in much of Protestantism. Anyone preaching James without qualifying that the source of works is the leading of the Holy Spirit is guilty. What is the fatal, deadly sin?
@@michaelbrickley2443 I agree, which is why I never identify myself by a particular religious group, instead I just identify as "christian". When asked I will say, "people label" me as ...... I believe the fatal, deadly sin, would be ascribing the works, and words of Jesus, carried out through the Holy Spirit to be of Satan.
And it should always have 2 to 3 or more witnesses ,line upon line ,precept upon precept ...not a single word taken out of it s setting to create a doctrine !
good speaker, yet the “Five tests of False Doctrine” Extremely subjective.. I will give you mine. 1. Not believing Jesus came in the flesh is a false doctrine. 1 John 4:3 KJVS [3] And every spirit that confesseth not that Jesus Christ is come in the flesh is not of God: and this is that spirit of antichrist, whereof ye have heard that it should come; and even now already is it in the world. 2. Any doctrine that stops you from exercising your Faith, Romans 1:17 KJVS [17] For therein is the righteousness of God revealed from faith to faith: as it is written, The just shall live by faith. 3. If your not led by Gods Spirit it’s a false doctrine. Romans 8:14 NKJV [14] For as many as are led by the Spirit of God, these are sons of God.
@The Art of Worship My friend the problem with Calvinist is the following. Everything this sincere man says is garbage. Why? Well if I have purified water and I ask you to drink a sip... you would say no problem.. Yet, if one drop of arsenic, you would say. No thank you. This man mixes Gods Word with Calvinist doctrine, ironically what he calls for.. God being the foundation is exactly what He doesn’t have.. Calvinist say they believe that Jesus came in the flesh. The problem is that they believe they are saved not because of what Jesus did. Calvinist are saved and going to Heaven because God specifically chose them from the foundation of the earth. Making EVERY THING IN GODS WORD IRRELEVANT. For the Calvinist it is not For God so loved the World that he gave His only begotten Son... It’s for God loved the Elect, chosen and predestined that He sent His Son to die for them to insure total depravity is destroyed, they have unmerited favor, that they receive the limited atonement He provides, that they are drawing in by His irresistible grace to insure their preservation for all eternity.. The Calvinist are the Sadducees and Pharisees of our modern age. The Calvinist believe that God is Sovereign, If and when God reveals it to them firs. For Calvinist Gods power is non existent. Evangelism is of no consequence because those who are going to heaven will go to heaven because God willed it from the foundation of the earth. Sin is not supported, but if you sin in the Calvinist church... no biggie... you are preserved for heaven. Just go to the Calvinist church and God will take care of the rest. The biggest lie of Calvinist is that they seem like Arminian Preachers, yet when you accept their doctrine they proceed to explain what the Love of God actually means... God loves some of us and hates some of us... God is sovereign He can do what he wants... Of course their Devils Doctrine.. has no bases in truth, just ONE SCRIPTURE, taken out of context. Romans 9:13, Jacob I loved and Esau I have hated. The key here is to realize that the word hate doesn't equate to actually hating, its about hating Esaus behavior. Hebrews 12:16-17, "Lest there be a fornicator, or profane person as Esau, who for a morsel of meat, sold his birthright." Simple and precise... God hated Esaus actions, period. Now if you believe that God hates.... and your a Christian? What would you say if I told you that if you don't hate your mom and dad... you cannot be Born-again? Luke 14:26; If any man comes to me, and hate not his father and mother, and wife, and children, and brethren, and sisters, yea, his own life also, HE (OR SHE) CANNOT BE MY DISCIPLE? What do Calvinist say about this scripture? Which uses the same greek word that Romans 9:13, well I can assure you it's not that God requires us to hate our families... Our commitment should be first toward our God and always second towards our family. They can't accept that God would want us to hate... yet... they easily accept God can hate... in order to maintain their Calvinist outside doctrine of TULIP. Calvinist change their Biblical interpretation standards depending on the scripture. Calvinist, live in the Old Testament because the God of the Old Testament; who was Jesus, Punished, killed, sent sicknesses, and with they say.... you see God does do this. NOOOOOOOOOOOO, God did this to those who would stand against His plan to bring Jesus to this earth to be born and be Savior and Lord to all who would accept Him. Tim Challies is a good man, sincere, yet sincerely wrong on many areas. Are Calvinist Hell bound. No I cannot cross that line. Regardless of them quickly saying I am a false prophet...and bound for hell... I LOVE JESUS, I AM GOOD TO GO... REGARDLESS OF WHAT CALVINIST SAY....
Peter Cho Ok.. looked up “The Boom Of Truth” my friend we have Gods Word.. whatever this women says in this book.. is just a copy of Gods Intentions with a mixture of Hers..
Of the five points, the first three are valid. The last two are at best redundant and at worst distracting. The third test, consistency, includes consistency with the two greatest commandments. If a particular doctrine is consitent with both of the two greatest commandments then the fourth and fifth tests are already covered without needing to actually be discussed as individual tests. Worse, the fourth and fifth tests invite the addition of artificial standards. They allow people to say "X pleases God and Y displeases God" without any scriptural support for such assertions. The Bible (the Greek text [1]) is the perfect, infallible word of God. Nothing else needs to be added to it by humans. When we try to add to it we are in error. In summary, the first three tests are good. They focus on scripture and matching our beliefs and actions to God's word. The fourth and fifth tests move away from scripture however and are thus excessive, too much. 1. The Apostles did not write in English. They wrote in Greek. So the Greek manuscript is what the Holy Spirit inspired them to write. All of the English translations, without exception, leave something to be desired. Most of them actually show political motivations in the mistranslations when compared with the what the Apostles actually wrote, the Greek manuscripts.
Oh! Well, let's test this: Matthew 5:17-19: "17 Do not think that I have come to abolish the law or the Prophets. I have not come to abolish, but to fulfill. 18 For truly I say to you, until heaven and earth shall pass away, not even one iota, nor one stroke of a letter, shall pass away from the law, until everything should happen. 19 Whoever then shall break one of the least of these commandments and shall teach others the same, he will be called least in the kingdom of the heavens; but whoever shall keep and shall teach them, he will be called great in the kingdom of the heavens." James 2:24: "24 You see that a man is justified by works, and not by faith alone." John 5:46-47: "46 For if you were believing Moses, you would have believed Me; for he wrote concerning Me. 47 And unless you believe his writings, how will you believe My words?”" 1 John 2:7: "7 Beloved, I am not writing a new commandment to you, but an old commandment, which you have had from the beginning. The old commandment is the word that you have heard." 1 John 3:7: "7 Little children, let no one lead you astray; the one practicing righteousness is righteous, just as He is righteous." VS Romans 3:28: "28 Therefore we reckon a man to be justified by faith apart from works of the Law." Galatians 2:16: "16 nevertheless knowing that a man is not justified by works of law, except through faith from Jesus Christ, even we have believed in Christ Jesus that we may be justified by faith from Christ, and not by works of the Law, because by works of the Law not any flesh will be justified."
Exodus 20:8-11 [8]“Remember the Sabbath day, to keep it holy. [9]Six days you shall labor and do all your work, [10]but the seventh day is the Sabbath of the Lord your God. In it you shall do no work: you, nor your son, nor your daughter, nor your male servant, nor your female servant, nor your cattle, nor your stranger who is within your gates. [11]For in six days the Lord made the heavens and the earth, the sea, and all that is in them, and rested the seventh day. Therefore the Lord blessed the Sabbath day and hallowed it.

There's no better example of "sound doctrine" than that of the TEN Commandments. It's just too bad that 99.9% of "Christendom" is going to find that out the hard way! *_Nehemiah _**_13:17_**_b NKJV "What evil thing is this that you do, by which you profane the Sabbath day?_*
@@shadowmoses3974 What does any of that have to do with obeying the TEN Commandments? If Christ is the "end of the Law" as you suggest - which is NOT what that passage means - then is it okay for me to have other Gods, or commit adultery? Yes, tell me, how come all of that only applies to the Sabbath?
@@shadowmoses3974 With all due respect, in both of your replies I only spotted a single comment that was relevant to my question. Whereas, all of the other things you said were either unrelated to the actual issue - which is one of ELEMENTARY obedience, and NOT trying to be justified by works - or they were a misinterpretation or a misapplication of the Scriptures. Nonetheless, you seem to be very passionate, and that's a good thing, as long as what you're passionate about is the TRUTH. Which, I can tell you right now that you do NOT have. You cited: *_"LET NO MAN JUDGE YOU in meat, or in drink, or in respect of an holyday, or of the new moon, OR OF THE SABBATH DAYS:"_* That passage is not telling us that we shouldn't let ourselves be judged for not keeping the Sabbath. Please consider watching my video, entitled: *_Video 2: The Giant has Fallen! (The Defeat of Colossians _**_2:16_**_)_* The Scriptures call profaning the Sabbath an act of EVIL. Why would you suppose that has changed? What was EVIL under the Old Covenant, is still EVIL under the New. Nehemiah 13:17 NRSV Then I remonstrated with the nobles of Judah and said to them, "What is this evil thing that you are doing, profaning the sabbath day?

In fact, you started off by incorrectly asserting that it was my "opinion" that Jesus (not even His real Name) was not our Sabbath's rest. No, that's not an opinion, as the FACT of the matter is that you can NOT produce ONE SINGLE VERSE that actually says what you suppose. So, on the contrary, your position is the one that's based on "opinion". Nonetheless, did you even bother to watch that video? It would seem rather clear that you did NOT. I say that because you reiterated a total LIE that's found in Colossians 2:17! You cited: *_Col _**_2:17_**_ Which are a shadow of things to come; but the reality is OF CHRIST._* Sorry, but that verse is what you would call "FAKE NEWS"! The words "reality" and "substance" DO NOT EXIST in that passage. But yet, here you are using them to try to justify disobeying the literal Voice of God! Do yourself a favor and watch Video 2; as well as video 7, entitled: *_Video 7: Un-twisting Hebrews 4 (Jesus is Not Your Sabbath Rest)_* ; as they will SOUNDLY expose your ERROR. "Sound doctrine grounds its authority within the Bible, false doctrine grounds itself outside of the Bible." (Test #2) Question: How did doctrine exist for 400 years before the Bible was compiled? Hint: The Bible isn't the ONLY authority.
Au Contraire: *God Has Magnified HIS HOLY Word Above ALL HIS HOLY Name!"* *(Psalm 138 : 2), And* *God Has COMMANDED That* man *Is NOT to EXCEED Or GO ABOVE That:* *"WHICH IS WRITTEN!" (1 Corinthians 4 : 6)* Thus, the "doctrine" that "the bible ISN'T the ONLY authority." = FLUNKED! bro Chris
No, my friend. You make many mistakes in your short message. You cannot use Psalm 138 to defend Sola Scriptura, for the old Israelites did not go by the Bible alone. Old Israel wrote the Bible... Secondly, the text from 1 Cor 4 you cannot use either, for Paul instructed that the faithful are to stick by what they were given by the apostles, either by word or by letter. He did not distinguish between both... Thirdly, you do not go by the Word of God. You go by your understanding of the holy texts, which means that you go by man. Or maybe you go by what your teacher tells you; the one you have chosen yourself... My friend, I have a question for you. Can you be wrong? Fundamentally wrong? And if so, will you admit? Will you convert to anything Jesus wants you to? Can you answer? Wishing you a very good week!

Does this doctrine originate with God or is it a fabrication made by a created being?
2.) The Test of Authority

Does this doctrine lead us in a way that pleases God or does it lead us to live in a way that dishonors God?
False doctrines lead to confusion, true doctrine brings clarity.

@Samuel Lewis Remember Jesus began His ministry being baptised by John, the Holy Spirit descended on Him, and the Father saying, "This is my beloved Son, in whom I am well pleased."
In all Jesus did, He was controlled, empowered by the Holy Spirit, yet people got so angry they crucified Him. Do you think it was maybe His method, that He should have modified it in some way?

Why do I find that all denominations fall in either 1 or more of these tests? Or if not, each other thinks each other does.
Thumbs up! (Isaiah 8:20 KJV) To the law and to the testimony: if they speak not according to this word, it is because there is no light in them.

Two major things false doctrines always have are hatred and irrationality.
Ever since Satan tested Adam and Eve , debates have been a part of life .
Your explanation of test 5 was beautiful. Amen and amen brother.
Sooo sad.
One other, possibly the most important test.
Does the doctrine glorify Christ Jesus?
Tim, thank you for sharing this video!!!
There is only one test for sound doctrine. Does it line up with New Testament scripture. Most Christians do not know the scriptures well enough to know the difference.
Ephesians 4:14-15 KJVS
[14] That we henceforth be no more children, tossed to and fro, and carried about with every wind of doctrine, by the sleight of men, and cunning craftiness, whereby they lie in wait to deceive; [15] But speaking the truth in love, may grow up into him in all things, which is the head, even Christ:

Can someone make a case why the Book of Mormon is false using a verse or two in the Book of Mormon? I know a lot of people that have read it before and are unable to find a bad verse in it. Can someone help me ? Thanks.
EricSmyth14 It is like asking us to look at the Baghdad Vita or the Koran for a bad verse. you cannot use the counterfeit as a way to judge or discern the truth, you look at the original, the source of truth, the word of God contained in the Bible KVJ.
I caught that too brother.

He is talking about testing the spirits to see if they are from GOD.
Is it exegesis and eisegesis?

(Act 9:4) And he fell to the earth, and heard a voice saying unto him, Saul, Saul, why persecutest thou me?
(Act 9:5) And he said, Who art thou, Lord? And the Lord said, I am Jesus whom thou persecutest: it is hard for thee to kick against the pricks.

(Act 9:7) And the men which journeyed with him stood speechless, HEARING A VOICE, but seeing no man.
(Act 9:8) And Saul arose from the earth; and when his eyes were opened, he saw no man: but they led him by the hand, and brought him into Damascus.
(Act 22:6) And it came to pass, that, as I made my journey, and was come nigh unto Damascus about noon, suddenly there shone from heaven a great light round about me.
(Act 22:7) And I fell unto the ground, and heard a voice saying unto me, Saul, Saul, why persecutest thou me?
(Act 22:8) And I answered, Who art thou, Lord? And he said unto me, I am Jesus of Nazareth, whom thou persecutest.
(Act 22:9) And they that were with me saw indeed the light, and were afraid; but they HEARD NOT THE VOICE of him that spake to me.
(Act 22:10) And I said, What shall I do, Lord? And the Lord said unto me, ARISE, and go into Damascus; and there it shall be told thee of all things which are appointed for thee to do.
(Act 22:11) And when I could not see for the glory of that light, being led by the hand of them that were with me, I came into Damascus.

To me, doctrine or more specific belief doesn’t matter, what does matter is that they are Bible-believing and Gospel-believing Christians.
Thankyou for the video
(they were covered by the Holy Spirit)
Now they are naked and they don't know it. (they are covered by the Unholy spirit)
I wonder if they realize, to believe any false doctrine over the true revealed Word is to worship satan and not God.
Good question, waiting for the answer...
Then I heard another voice from heaven say: "Come out of her, my people, so that you will not share in her sins or contract any of her plagues. Rev 18: 4. The Lord is returning for his bride not these man made churches.
(Act 2:41) Then they that gladly received his word were baptized: and the same day there were added unto them about three thousand souls.
(Act 2:46) And they, continuing daily with one accord in the temple, and breaking bread from house to house, did eat their meat with gladness and singleness of heart,
(Act 2:47) Praising God, and having favour with all the people. And the Lord added to the church daily such as should be saved.

From wikipedia:
"The royal we, or majestic plural (pluralis majestatis), is the use of a plural pronoun (or corresponding plural-inflected verb forms) to refer to a single person who is a monarch. The more general word for the use of a we, us, or our to refer to oneself is nosism."
That was very cogent.
When the true christians tried to correct the false christians the true christians were classed as heretics, this has happened all through the centuries false christians persecuting true christians, so in a nut shell, any church coming from the nicean creed period to now is probably a false church, except small churches that follow the apostles teachings not mans that are the true church
interesting teaching, now flesh it out with examples....
The test for most Christ is , does this interpretations agree with what I already believe or what my favorite teachers says ! I have a question for Mr. Challies , why can't Christians agree on what the Bible teaches ?

[3] And every spirit that confesseth not that Jesus Christ is come in the flesh is not of God: and this is that spirit of antichrist, whereof ye have heard that it should come; and even now already is it in the world.
2. Any doctrine that stops you from exercising your Faith,

3. If your not led by Gods Spirit it’s a false doctrine.

Thank you antonio Gonzalez. Do you know if the Calvinist believe that Jesus did not come in the flesh? I am trying to understand, thank you.
@The Art of Worship
My friend the problem with Calvinist is the following.

Oh! Well, let's test this:
Matthew 5:17-19: "17 Do not think that I have come to abolish the law or the Prophets. I have not come to abolish, but to fulfill.
18 For truly I say to you, until heaven and earth shall pass away, not even one iota, nor one stroke of a letter, shall pass away from the law, until everything should happen.
19 Whoever then shall break one of the least of these commandments and shall teach others the same, he will be called least in the kingdom of the heavens; but whoever shall keep and shall teach them, he will be called great in the kingdom of the heavens."
James 2:24: "24 You see that a man is justified by works, and not by faith alone."
John 5:46-47: "46 For if you were believing Moses, you would have believed Me; for he wrote concerning Me.
47 And unless you believe his writings, how will you believe My words?”"
1 John 2:7: "7 Beloved, I am not writing a new commandment to you, but an old commandment, which you have had from the beginning. The old commandment is the word that you have heard."
1 John 3:7: "7 Little children, let no one lead you astray; the one practicing righteousness is righteous, just as He is righteous."
VS
Romans 3:28: "28 Therefore we reckon a man to be justified by faith apart from works of the Law."
Galatians 2:16: "16 nevertheless knowing that a man is not justified by works of law, except through faith from Jesus Christ, even we have believed in Christ Jesus that we may be justified by faith from Christ, and not by works of the Law, because by works of the Law not any flesh will be justified."
Exodus 20:8-11
[8]“Remember the Sabbath day, to keep it holy.
[9]Six days you shall labor and do all your work,
[10]but the seventh day is the Sabbath of the Lord your God.
What do you mean Timothy was nourished by the Bible? You mean the Old Testament?
👍🏻thank you!
doctrine is trying to make sense, of a confusing text that seems to teach both sides of the coin.....as we pick and choose our proof text, and even the cults do this..
Number one, a failure to call homosexuality a sin.
Where do you think the bible came from?
Use the King James Version. Its correct. Other versions including the ESV are perversions. Example: 1John5:7 and Acts 8:37.
Where in Holy Scripture does it say that the only legitimate bible is the King James Version?
You cited: *_"LET NO MAN JUDGE YOU in meat, or in drink, or in respect of an holyday, or of the new moon, OR OF THE SABBATH DAYS:"_*
That passage is not telling us that we shouldn't let ourselves be judged for not keeping the Sabbath. And, instead of trying to spell it all out here, I will simply direct you to my video on Colossians 2, which demonstrates your misconceptions about that passage.
Please consider watching my video, entitled: *_Video 2: The Giant has Fallen! (The Defeat of Colossians _**_2:16_**_)_*
The Scriptures call profaning the Sabbath an act of EVIL. Why would you suppose that has changed? What was EVIL under the Old Covenant, is still EVIL under the New.
Nehemiah 13:17 NRSV Then I remonstrated with the nobles of Judah and said to them, "What is this evil thing that you are doing, profaning the sabbath day?
@@shadowmoses3974 Yet again, you reply with copious amounts of misapplication and misinterpretation of Scripture.
You cited:
*_Col _**_2:17_**_ Which are a shadow of things to come; but the reality is OF CHRIST._*
Sorry, but that verse is what you would call "FAKE NEWS"!
Romans 10:2 NRSV I can testify that they have a zeal for God, but it is not enlightened
"Sound doctrine grounds its authority within the Bible, false doctrine grounds itself outside of the Bible." (Test #2)
Question: How did doctrine exist for 400 years before the Bible was compiled?
Hint: The Bible isn't the ONLY authority.
Thank you, Dinopad. You are fully correct, of course. The only explanation for what happens here is another spirit...
Au Contraire: *God Has Magnified HIS HOLY Word Above ALL HIS HOLY Name!"*
*(Psalm 138 : 2), And*
*God Has COMMANDED That* man *Is NOT to EXCEED Or GO ABOVE That:*
*"WHICH IS WRITTEN!" (1 Corinthians 4 : 6)*
Thus, the "doctrine" that "the bible ISN'T the ONLY authority." = FLUNKED!
Amen brother
