Taylor Swift made headlines on September 24 when she was spotted at Arrowhead Stadium, cheering on Travis Kelce’s Kansas City Chiefs alongside his mom, Donna Kelce. Swift, dressed in the team’s colors, added fuel to the romance rumors that had been swirling for months.
Travis first showed interest in Swift when he attended her Eras Tour concert at Arrowhead in July. On his New Heights podcast, he admitted he was disappointed she didn’t meet him and revealed he had even made a friendship bracelet with his number on it. Though he never got to give it to her, the two reportedly connected later, with sources claiming they had gone on dates.
Travis’ brother, Jason Kelce, playfully hinted that the romance might be real, while Travis himself coyly invited Swift to see him “rock the stage” at Arrowhead.
Before Swift, Travis had an on-and-off relationship with Kayla Nicole and even starred in a reality dating show. When asked about her chats with Swift in the stadium suites, Donna first joked, “I’ll never tell.” However, she quickly revealed that they were discussing the commercial breaks and how officials signal when play resumes. She admitted she doesn’t like discussing Travis’ personal life but acknowledged the media frenzy.
Donna also rubbed elbows with Swift’s A-list friends, including Ryan Reynolds and Sophie Turner, at the Chiefs-Jets game on October 1. While she described the experience as surreal, she said it’s been a fun ride.
Travis and Swift were first linked after he shared on his New Heights podcast that he tried-and failed-to meet her at The Eras Tour in July. Now, their rumored romance is the talk of the NFL, bringing new fans to the Kelce family. Donna, however, is letting her sons navigate fame on their own terms.
