In this video, we replace the digitizer touch panel on an iPhone XR. This iPhone XR received some pretty bad damage causing the touch to stop responding. This method can be used if you are experiencing issues with your touch screen or if the device has ghost touch.

I bought an xr which is pretty much used online. When i tried it out I realized that True Tone is missing and when it first came the screen protector on it made it really hard to register touch. I took it off and not it’s better but I’ve also found that while playing any games if I put more then one finger on the screen the screen will fidget and shake, so I can’t play any kind of intensive games on it. I play mobile games to pass the time and this is a turn off for me
What liquid are you applying to the LCD to clean the remaining glue from after removing the digitizer?

I was searching for a mobile repair channel as I just broke the glass of my brand new Honor view 20 accidentally, came across your channel and all I can say it is awesome. I want some advice from you, my phone's digitiser and LCD panel is working fine only, the glass has 4 large cracks at the bottom corner, currently I don't have enough money for the replacement. So I want to ask if I continue using the mobile with broken glass, will it cause any problems with the LCD and digitiser in future ? I can only do replacement around Christmas time.
Hey you should not have any issues. I would recommend you don't apply pressure to phone since screen is cracked.

Yap, doing refurbishing for 5 years now, I used to do everything separately starting with iphone 5. removing the polariser, then applying a new one, and the oca, and the glass then the frame... tedious.
Now with 3in1 or 4in1 glasses it speeds up the process significantly... but with these glasses shit could happen with those inbent pins. So if I don't have to do like 30 refurbishes in 4 yours I almost never forget to check the pins first.

My phone is an XR iPhone with 0 damage. It’s in new looking condition. The keyboard will tap letters and numbers without me even touching it. It all began after the 14.6 are use updatep

What about true tone? One of the repair shop I’ve asked informed me true tone will be lost after changing just digitizer (not genuine LCD)

Thanks in advance. Rare to see someone as well versed in the repair of an iphone as you. The equipment you have makes each layer available for removeal and replacement. I'm a computer tech, have some basic understanding of how smart phones are designed and assembled, but certainly lack the level of skill you display, and lack the repair equipment you have. That said, I have damaged my XR display. The "touch" works fine. The exterior glass was pinched, but did not break. The issue is the LCD has bled from along the edge where the phone was pinched, out into the middle of the display. It's a black blob that is in the way of me seeing what would be in that spot. I cannot remove each layer as you've done. I would be technical enough to carefully pull off the entire front of the phone, order the entire front, and replace it. By front, I mean all the layers you have separated and then melded back together, as one whole front piece. Is it possible to order the entire front, all layers, as a one piece, for one price, and I just replace the whole front one shot, no layers? If it is possible to do order the entire front as a whole, how much would it cost, and can I purchase this entire front assembly from you? I can send you a pic or video of my phone damage if I'm not being clear in my description of my issue and my intended method to repair the issue.
Hi thx so much for feedback unfortunately it's better to just buy another LCD assembly. You can find those easily I recommend apple refurbished ones. I don't have any in stock to to sell out but I'm sure you can find online

You didn't show how you separated the tip of your digitizer, now my screen is messed up, I searched for the digitizer sheet and I end up separating the actual black screen, and with that horrid smell. Honestly too much editing and very minimal content. Clip Graded: D -

If I take my phone for a screen replacement at a non apple shop, with a shattered screen. What is the likelihood that the screen and digitizer get replaced as one piece? Or would they actually separate the digitizer and screen replace the screen and leave the existing digitizer?
They will 100% replace the entire screen.
@@MrPhoneDoctor okay, I have one that has had touch issues since the first screen replacement. It’s recently had a second replacement and still has the same issues. Now having unrelated charging issues, so already ordered a new phone.

@@wowza3611 where did you get the screen replaced? Is it OEM or aftermarket. More than likely screen just went bad replace with good quality screen.
@@MrPhoneDoctor I’m sure they were aftermarket screens. Both times the problem was immediately preset, no delay as of the screen were good and then went bad.
Kind of makes me think it’s some other software or hardware issue? Idk I’m far from a phone tech lol
I would've done this to my original iPhone screen but the LCD was completely damaged making me having to use a 3rd party dodgy ass replacement. Nowhere near as good as original Apple screens.

I broke my xr lcd and i bought a new screen and niw the camera nor the lcd are working nin responsive what is wrong?
Check the flex cable make sure it didnt get damage.
I did it looks intact
I also put tape on the screen and when i pulled it off it became responsive only for a brief moment
What can that mean?
