The legendary coach of Dynamo Kiev Valeri Lobanovsky brought Sheva into greatness and made D. Kiev in the 80's and 90's one of the best clubs in Europe. Kiev should have beaten BM in the semis of CL and go on to face Man U in the final that year. BM was really lucky to snatch 3:3 tie in Kiev, but lost a dramatic final to Man U that year....
Nah, he barely played with Kaka, unfortunately (only few years afair)... Kaka was more connected with Inzaghi at his prime. But still it does not mean that when Kaka and Sheva played together, they did not have connection:)
Definition of Complete striker! Scored from any angle , and with any means ( left foot, right foot, header, free kick, etc ). I have liked him ever since I've watched him play for Dynamo Kiev and putting 3 goals into Barca's net. and when I've heard that AC Milan (my favorite team at that time) have transferred him... well, you get the idea :) .... Cristian Chivu (one of Romania's best defenders that's captained Ajax in his early years, and later on moved on to AS Roma and Inter Milan where he's been in the starting 11 due to his defending skills has said that Andriy Shevchenko has been the most difficult striker that he's had to defend against, and we're talking about an era where Chivu had to defend against the likes of Ronaldo - the real Ronaldo I mean - Del Piero, Inzaghi, Raul, and the alikes. Yet, Sheva has been the toughest striker to mark because of his amazing understanding of the game, as well as his great positioning. i would rate shevchenko as the most deadliest in the box...heading postioning and shots on goal...he doesnt not waste many goal attempts...he would be my no.1 finisher
lucas coelho greetings WE fan. He was the only reason I played Ukraina in WE. But I think his speed was overpowered. 18 should be enough. Ronaldo, R.Carlos, and Owen were the more correct speed-19 players.
Post-2000, the striker position was about Henry & Sheva. Ronaldo had a peak moment with the WC in 2002 and Raul was good too, but these 2 were in their prime.
Sheva was very well rounded as an advanced forward. He didn't really have any weaknesses and was on a very high technical and mental level but his best attribute was his raw pace. There were many players as skillful as him but that bit of explosiveness really made him stand out from the pack.
Sheva raw pace and quick dribbing is at least or better than the Mo Salah nowadays. Yet Sheva was much more skillful in passing, shooting and dribbling and controls and had a strong header as well.
I will never forget when Baca stole the Champions League from Milan.. when Puyol wrongly claimed he had been fouled as Shevchenko scored the winning goal.
Crazy speed, great dribbling, kick with both feet, a phenomenal head play, amazing field vision. The next player, similar to Shevchenko in terms of universality, was only Messi. I believe that Shevchenko was underestimated, having received only once the Golden Ball. A talented person is talented in everything. Now, under his leadership, the Ukrainian team performs at a very high level. Good luck to him. He was a phenomenal striker.
@@jastastics6446 Well it's not UEFA's fault, I think Berlusconi ruined all, even if he made Milan great. ChrisLags Well I think it is Berlusconi’s fault for ruining us, but Uefa’s for not being on top again. Their FFP rules are dumb. Premier League teams have bigger profit from tv broadcasters and sponsors and they can spend billions, while in Italy we get screwed because we don’t have the same profit

@E A Yes, but unfortunately the only competitor was Messi. But compare it to Shevchenko's times, that was the time of legends :) He needed to compete with Ronaldinho, Ronaldo, Zidane, Backham, Nedved, etc. At the same time there were new young stars like Kaka, C. Ronaldo, C Ronaldo, Van Basten, Henry, Pele Romario Luis Suarez, Gerd Muller all Clear..some by alot. Even ibrahimovic is ahead of him but that could be debated. Not top 5 by any margin
@@balsham137Henry…Suarez? Nah
@artembutenko7681 what are the chances Mr. Artem butenko prefers Shevchenko lol Henry and suarez were miles better, he went to cheslea and just disappeared

Shevchenko was devastating in his prime and with Kaka in the ranks Milan was really entertaining 👌
Incredible he was a Striker with winger qualities (u could easily put him as a winger)..But that s Sheva once he picks s the ball from a left or a right side and has a bit of space you could not catch him even with a Buggati Cop Car. He was a nightmare for defenders with his one-touch strike or control then strike (very powerful with both feet s) dribble s plus he could score headers (very big jumping qualities very athletic), Set pieces Freekicks Penalties Corners(amazing touch and precise passes as well). Fantastic one of the best
I'm an interista, and there are three rivals I always admired and wanted to see in our Squadra: Totti, Pirlo and Shevchenko. He was such a pain in my ass, got mad because at him a bunch of times, but I just can't hate that guy
I m a Juventino and I fucking hate him, but I wanted him in my team too. He scored us in any way was thinkable.
Sheva was a real big game player, he is the top scorer of Derby Milano, and most of his goals came against Juve, Lazio and Roma.
🙏
Assassin of Milan.
Glory days !
Thanks for uploading highly appreciated
Valeri Lobanovsky made 3 Ballon d'Or players: Blokhin, Belanov and Shevchenko. Proud of Ukrainian nation. Now it's time for Sheva as a coach to make some new top-players for Ukraine.
come to milan sheva!!!
Yeah, no Lobanovsky = no Shevchenko
Pol Perez Fernandez unfortunately they were all center forwards so they couldn’t play like MSN or something
Лобановский и три этих игрока -- советские.
@@HarmonicaGuitar одно другому не мешает, тем более нет такой национальности советский.
as juventus fan, the player I suffered the most....and at the sime time I liked more as "enemy". What a great duel Juventus Milan those years at the top of the world
Being an Interisti, watching this man running with the ball when playing against Milan was a nightmare lol. One of the most complete and one of the best striker that I've ever seen.
He reminds me at Lewandowski. Very similar
@@FM-bm3ll Not exactly. Lewandowski had the size and overwhelming dominance plus quickness etc. Sheva had pace and quick dribbling past opponents.
@@agoodchow size? Sheva and Lewa had the same size (183cm)
Strong, double footed player, also very good in the air, that’s made him win the balon d’or
He is a Machine, the reason why am i love football. In his era almost all FC's of top championships had a single or multiple stars of world level. I dont think it will happen again.
ABSOLUTE BEAST..!!! and one of the most complete and elegante striker in football history..
100% bro
a beast speed power accuracy intelligence determination he was born with a talent he is a natural but he worked his ass off
It's a shame that we get to remember one of the greats in a pixelated and blurry form.
We should be happy it was recorded at all.
Andriy Shevchenko🇺🇦🔴⚫️, one of my favorite players of the time. He had an incredible dribbling and scenting ability 💪
Best striker i have ever seen. God bless you, from indonesian.
Just think about his ratio in Milan when you know the times when he played (so strong defenders in Italy at that time) : 296 matches, 173 goals
He was useless in the premier League ENGLAND

Sou muito grato por ter visto uma geração mágica de jogadores,e o Sheva foi um dos maiores que vi,o cara era sensacional.
pure power. what a terrifying striker.
Ye-a. For this guy does not matter left foot, right foot, had, 10 meters, 25 meters... he just does his job. Beautiful!
The best striker of all times by far
i would rate shevchenko as the most deadliest in the box...heading postioning and shots on goal...he doesnt not waste many goal attempts...he would be my no.1 finisher
Personally I rate Sheva on same level of Romario.
both had been way under appreciated for different reason..
One of the best striker of all time
Tecnica, forza, velocità, eleganza, giocatore completo... grande Sheva
Sheva - Legend !!! 🇺🇦⚽️👍🏻
Now he brought his young talented ukraine squad into euro 2020 quarter finals for the first time.
It hurts me that people judge him only at his time at Chelsea. What a striker
Yeah these fuckers haven't a clue
In Chelsea we saw one of the most beautiful goals never scored in history of football.
Mourinho ruined him like a lot of others.
We all loved Ronaldo, but with Shevchenko we did not need to desire Ronaldo in Milan
Growing up, him and Henry were my two favourite strikers.
Wining eleven best chacter, PS1 goods memories
lucas coelho greetings WE fan. He was the only reason I played Ukraina in WE. But I think his speed was overpowered. 18 should be enough. Ronaldo, R.Carlos, and Owen were the more correct speed-19 players.
The AC Milan team was outta this world at that time
Sheva was a beast!!! Love from Serbia :)
Что мне нравится в Шевченко больше всего, чего в других мало, то как он руки держит во время бега с мячом. Это очень элегантно!😃
What a legendary striker !!!
Post-2000, the striker position was about Henry & Sheva. Ronaldo had a peak moment with the WC in 2002 and Raul was good too, but these 2 were in their prime.
His prime was in the era where the strong defenders played.. yet, none of those defenders can stop him...
Shevy you mean
@@agoodchowsheva is far better player than salah 😂😂😂
@@edmondsimon9220 Sheva is a lot than Mapbee (PSG) too.
My first reaction: OMG 😰😮 Who's this guy !! This guy is sick
The entire Milan starting 11 of 2005 has no haters. They were all so good in their respective positions that they were probably beyond world class.
I will never forget when Baca stole the Champions League from Milan.. when Puyol wrongly claimed he had been fouled as Shevchenko scored the winning goal.
what
2006. i remember that
😑
Same
And i will never forget that Dudek cheated in 2005 penalties. Milan deserve one more champions league for sure, that era was insane
@@Alvaro-fh5dd This is why the new technology was so important.. the best and fairest should win not who can escape the refs eye.
@@Alvaro-fh5dd how did dudek cheat?
Crazy speed, great dribbling, kick with both feet, a phenomenal head play, amazing field vision. The next player, similar to Shevchenko in terms of universality, was only Messi. I believe that Shevchenko was underestimated, having received only once the Golden Ball. A talented person is talented in everything. Now, under his leadership, the Ukrainian team performs at a very high level. Good luck to him. He was a phenomenal striker.
El Fenomeno IS a better comparison to Sheva
Top 3 strikers for me:
Ronaldo9
Van Basten
Shevchenko
Funny how all three have played for Milan❤️🖤
@@jastastics6446 Funny I support Juventus, but I admit Milan is a great team.
ChrisLags Was great. Now we are kind of meh. All because of stupid FFP, but we will be back to break your streak❤️🖤💪🏼
@@jastastics6446 Well it's not UEFA's fault, I think Berlusconi ruined all, even if he made Milan great. By the way it's a shame watching the champions league without Milan, i think it will get a long time to see Milan at the top again, hope Juventus will take advantage of this moment to win something(even if I don't think we can do it).
Two words. Clinical genius
Thanks to the author for the great video. Andriy always wanted to score a goal, not pass the ball. There are currently no such forwards. I still do not understand how he managed to score, in absolutely non-goal moments )) Blokhin, Belanov, Shevchenko. Lobanovsky genius !!!!
A monster he is reason why Henry didn't won the balan d' or absolute monster.
One of my top 5 fav players ever.
I like him more than Cr7 and Messi😁
AMIN!
I love him more than any players on earth
@E A Yes, but unfortunately the only competitor was Messi. But compare it to Shevchenko's times, that was the time of legends :) He needed to compete with Ronaldinho, Ronaldo, Zidane, Backham, Nedved, etc. At the same time there were new young stars like Kaka, C. Ronaldo, Robinho, etc. So that old times were much more competitive than we have now.
@E A yeah... I'm not judging who is better because it is just impossible to compare... That was the whole generation of legendary players, but now... Who but Messi and CR? Neymar? Come on...
@E A Cristiano is a different breed of strikers indeed he a goal machine
But Messi tho..
These 2 will never repeat in history
Sheva and Van Basten two of the best strikers of all times played and won everything with AcMilan , with Real Madrid the best team in the world
if only scheva played in milan until he retired. up until 2010 milan was still a champions league team only imagined if kaka and scheva never left milan and played along with zlatan
Yeah, with thiago silva and pirlo too.
Nah bro Milan team was already old in 2006 we have Cafu and Serginho with 36 thats insane. Maldini, Ambrosini, Inzaghi, Gatusso... Even Ronaldo Nazario was in the 2007 squad lol, the mistake was that we didnt buy younger players for a new generation (only Pato, Silva, maybe Gourcuff too but thats it). We continue to buy older players with their cAreer over
+Alvaro Araujo in 2007 Ac Milan won champions league....... :)
@@klopotynajmana5987
And? It wasn't the best year even though they won the champions league. Also, that is not my point. My point is that the team was very old
. Maldini can be as historic as you want but a player of 37 is already close to retirement
, the normal thing is that you have a substitute ready for him and Milan never had it, thats why their level declined
so much, in every position was the same, they dont have money and Berliusconi didnt want to spend

I think AS Roma should induct Sheva in their Hall of Fame just for the hundreds of goals he scored against Lazio...jeez he must have hated those guys lol.
Best two footed striker of all time, you'd struggle to know his strong foot was his right until he takes a set peice.
Shevchenko and Rebrov! Respect!
If Shevchenko is on Fifa today, his finishing would be 99
He is now growing his legend as Ukraine national team coach in the Euro 2020
NO ONE BETTER THAN SHEVA! NOT MESSI NOR RONALDO. SHEVCHENKO IN ANOTHER HIGH LEVEL

His style reminds me Ronaldo Fenomeno... what a player!
There was a chant by Ac Milan supporters: " he is not brazilian but what kind of goals he does??the phenomenon keep it there, here we have Sheva.
