I’ve been playing drums for 30 years. I love playing a funky, groovy Steve Gadd lick or a Zigaboo Modeliste funky groove as much as anyone. I have spent hours learning those grooves, every shuffle you can imagine and upping my fills game…but there is something VERY satisfying about throwing on an AC/DC record and locking in with Phil and just playing hard, driving rock and roll. It’s okay to admire, respect and appreciate both. This is one of the 5 best rhythm sections in the history of rock music, period.
I've met Brian a couple times behind his house on a boat. His dock has lights and snook hang out under it. My friend cut his grass and knows him and twice we chatted with Brian while he was on the dock. We drank tequila with him one if those times, out of his jug. My buddy probably still has the empty bottle. Brian is a nice guy and he's been great in the local music and charity scene around Sarasota FL.
First time seeing this. I'm only a couple of minutes in and already I love it! Just a phenomenal band, especially live, who groove like nobody's business. One of the best live bands ever! Thanks for the upload.

Back in the 80s, I’m standing in a sub shop, one night ordering a sandwich, the four guys in front of me were 50 year old men wearing AC/DC jackets, expensive, leather sport, jackets, with big AC/DC logos on them, 50 year old people didn’t listen to AC/DC in the 80s like they do now, I asked these guys who they were They said they were AC/DC sound man, like man, road manager, etc., they asked me if they knew where I knew to get some pot, I said yeah, my place so we went to my place for a beer and a smoke, they bought a couple ounces of pot, Gave me four front row seat tickets and four backstage passes and said bring two more bags of pot for the band tomorrow night! We went down to the show we were so close we had to stand on our chairs to see over the monitors, after the show, we went backstage and hung out, and at some point, somebody said, go over and get in that limo, I took a ride with Malcolm and Cliff and they bought the pot the car drop them off at their hotel and took me back to the Mapleleaf Gardens to meet my friends, good times in the 80s

But that led me into looking into other Rock and Metal bands - Ac/Dc (we will come back to them) Metallica, Slayer, etc... Frehley's Comet was a great project! Which subsequently introduced me to Bruce Kulick. Then his brother Bob played on some earlier stuff. Then that weirdo Vinnie Vincent - on to Slaughter, on to and on to and on to.... Shutting myself off of KISS after Ace left would have stagnated me. Would I have discovered AC/DC as young as I did if didn't keep looking? Malcolm Young is my single biggest influence when it comes to playing. His feel, sense of structure, timing, and just kick ass playing has cemented itself in my hands. But he's gone now. He died not even being able to remember what great work he did in this world. And who did they DARE replace the great Malcom Young with!?! That piss-ant Uncle Stevie!?! Who did they replace Brian with for one tour? That cunt of a dirtbag human being Axehole Rose? Pssshh... Duck these guys, am I right? How dare they keep going. How dare they keep the dream alive. Got to work with Beano 20 years later and he took great pleasure in recounting some awesome stories of that day...including how nervous he was!
Your Audio enhancing is ok. But I hear some background echo during the quiet parts. Its good, but there's way better audio software for Re-Mastering which Btw, I USE 😁✌
This is a really cool video. I always kind of hated that AC/DC setlist was the same day to day. After seeing them rehearse I can see why, it is a well oiled machine.

I'm a massive fan, but to see them play cool stuff from albums like Powerage (one of the most underrated albums of all time) in rehearsal and clearly enjoy it, and never actually play any of their maybe 100+ super cool non-single songs live, for decades, is highly problematic and disappointing. AC/DC fans (true fans) of whom their are hundreds of millions, still stuck by them, and still bought tickets and made them rich, and still enjoyed their gigs (me included), but they just played the same 20 or so songs, for like 40 years, with maybe 2 each tour from the new album of the day. I've seen Brian try to explain it, even get angry when people raise it, saying they were just playing what people wanted to hear. But he is wrong. AC/DC were better than that, way better, but they didn't back themselves. Imagine an AC/DC with the balls to play "Love Song", "Soul Stripper", "Live Wire", "Rock'n'Roll Singer", "Squealer", "Ride On", "Overdose", "Kicked in the Teeth", "Touch Too Much", "Night Prowler", "Let Me Put My Love into You", "Evil Walks", "Nervous Shakedown", "Back in Business", "Chase the Ace", "Nick of Time", "Two's Up", "The Razors Edge", just to name a few out of their astounding amount of awesome songs? But alas they never did, and never will. Which is really the only thing holding them back from "one of" the best rock'n'roll bands ever, and being "the best" rock'n'roll band ever. I still love them, but they were an opportunity lost, live, post Bon.
99% of the rock bands play the same set for deacades...judas, motorhead, metallica (until a few yeas ago), saxon, accept, scorpions,...it's juste easy and safe for them and the audience
Great video, the 2 bros are often connected, one facing the other when playing. Angus (I guess) is detuned on Riff raff 2 & 3 (but who cares ?) . Bon is really missing us on Go down, especially in the cuming moment 😄.

I saw these guys in Louisville in 96. 7th row center stage. My ticket was $22. Been to probably 30 rock concerts and this was the best show by a lot!
