The analog ones are bad ass. There's no reason other than stubbornness in my opinion that Whelen can't make the ESC-2030 as modular and customizable as the UltraVoice when their analog sirens sound freaking amazing like this. It's honestly a shame. They're still fantastic sirens. This is just my personal bias 😂
@@DrpanProductions honestly amazing take. The whelen hate is honestly unjustified. The flaws of a whelen are just the flaws of any electronic siren really. I love Fedsigs electronic sirens too, but they just arent was badass as whelens. Mods and Eows honestly just sound more, dunno how to say this but, more like a beep or something. Whelens sound absolutely eerie, ESPECIALLY when they wail. I sometimes call a group of whelens “Whelen Wolfpacks” for that reason.
The only flaw I see with Whelens are the fact that they oscillate instead of being able to rotate 360 degrees. While sure, modern controllers are more customizable in terms of pitch, they are very hard to customize in terms of tones. Analog Whelens, on the other hand, allow for them to be dual toned and more customizable tone selection.
@@MasenMonster Yeah that's definetley my only annoyance with whelens. I feel like rotating fully instead of oscillating would be more effective. However its just a small nitpick.
@@OwenLester Yeah. I mean, sure the ACA Hurricanes had an option to oscillate at a specific angle, which I think would be very helpful for directing sound towards an area if needed, but Whelens don’t have that as far as I know. Would be extremely helpful.
This unit has the older 3000 style 864 controller, which does not have the low tone alert. Only the 864's for the early WPS-4000-4's have the low tone. I wanna try looking for once since you can adjust the pitch on the alert and attack/wail separately.
Hey dude have you got your modulator 6048 dule tone fixed? I hope its fixed and make sure you put a lighting rod on top of the siren and god bless you and have a great day
Somebody just stole your video which is titled “My B-series Thunderbolt 1003 Alternate wail” and they got 43k views off of it. Pls take their video down and their video is titled “Thunderbolt 1003A”
Unpopular opinion, but whelens gotta be some of my favorite sirens. Especially the wail, its so bone chilling and I love it.

The dual tone wail sounds like a thunderbolt with no blower
Um yeah it sounds like it 😊❤
It uses 10/12 ratio hzs
(675hz high and 575 hz low)
Honestly I think Whelen did the best job of making a digital siren sound like an electromechanical siren.
I love the Whelen WPS-4004 Wail & Attack it makes me feel really good 😊
The single tone Whelen sounds like a 2001 siren and the dual tone one like an EOWS, a Modulator or 2T22/3T22 💀
It does a little bit like a 2001 yeah
I plan on Getting an ESC-864 for My Driver someday.
Anyway nice Video! I’ve always liked this Channel!

Nice siren, very cool whelen!
Analog air horn my beloved 🥺
Would of been totally complete if you added a Test Voice Message like This is a Test of The Outdoor Warning Siren
Awesome!!! Is there a way to program it to do low tone?

The dual-tone hi-lo sounds like a car alarm to me
