@@ruth.greening I use string like the old butchers string. Always leave it a little loose. For posts I have some steel fe nce droppers. They sell wooden garden stakes here. I'm going to run 2 strings between the posts. And let it trellis.
@@darrylweidenhoferI like them to climb up so I don't have to hunt down so low. Hoping it stops them from going "mouldy". Also, I read somewhere, that if you let them get too mature, they stop fruiting. So it's easier to find them.
@@darrylweidenhofer Sympathy for them. I'm hobbling after a fall last weekend running to cross the road with dog pulling, uneven footpath, etc. I'm beginning to be a liability. 😱 It didn't help playing tennis on Thursday, so I've given it a miss today.
@ruth.greening I was picking apricots in Mannum 2 years ago and the branch broke. I fell 10 foot onto concrete. Should have died. During covid. No would help because I wasn't vaccinated. I laid on the lounge for 2 weeks really busted up. My doctor came back from holidays then come over. My arm has never healed. Ripped all the muscles.
As I get older I like that idea

@@ruth.greening I remember the trellises I would see in Adelaide at Italian peoples house when working. Long sticks crossed over like an Indian tepee.

Yeah I never got to it. Somebody here dropped a heavy cutting board on their foot so I took them to the hospital They have a moon boot on.
