Ferntree Gully, so cute. I'm in the ACT our libraries are branches, so I do most of my browsing from the online catalogue but this was a cute idea. Those old hardbacks, beautiful! I have a room of books and I keep the door closed so the dogs don't go in there and I sniff the air like you were doing. Clare Keagan! Great finds 😀 Happy Reading

Loved this vlog! Think I will have to pay a visit to some of those book shops and the op shops at Monbulk sound good. All fairly close to me and have never been.

If you have the time when doing laundry, try folding it as you take it off the clothesline/out of the dryer. It just means you get it done right away and don't have to worry about it later.

You definitely need to make this a regular outing. What a fantastic range of books. I owned and read all of the Miss Read books about 30 years ago but unfortunately made the mistake of loaning them to someone and I never got them back. I’m definitely going to buy them again, they’re such a gentle read, just perfect for re-reading if you’re feeling a bit under the weather and want to curl up and read something undemanding. Thanks for taking us on your adventure to the beautiful Dandenongs.
Oh Ioaning books and not returning them = UNFORGIVABLE. (Take it from a librarian! 😝) I can’t wait to read the Miss Read books again! I totally agree: Perfect comfort reads! ❤️😌

Love it, I did this with all the op shops in my area last weekend as we only have one bookshop down here and the next nearest bookshop is 20 to 30 mins away. The salvos near me has also recently done book loyalty cards buy 4 get one free which is really cool.
OP Shops are like an Aladdin’s cave of books! 🤩📚 And usually SO cheap!

Hey, it's school holidays here in South Oz. I'm planning our book crawl for next week. Probably go to a few "book sheds" some little street libraries and maybe Big W. My book fam is super excited. 🎉

Love the book shopping …. I have been to through the looking glass one at sassafras … it has my favourite tea shop there …. Always visit sassafras when I am down there 😊😊 I have that series of books murder most ladylike … really enjoyed the first one and must get back to rest of them …. I think going to different libraries would make an excellent vlog …..📚💘📚

Yes that one , just love it when I am down there I stock up on my tea 🫖…….and across the road and down the opposite end to the book shop is this well I call it a mystic shop lol it has like amathest stones etc love it in there … 📚💘📚

Love this idea! New subscriber here. I don't have very many secondhand shops near my home, but I do have a county library system where I live in the US and most branches also sell books (25 cents for children's/YA/paperbacks and $1 for hardbacks). I want to try this! Also, I have a Little Free Library at my home and know of several near me. Do you have any near you? It would be nice to take a stack of books that I'm ready to pass on and swap one out at each Little Free Library for something else.
