Ingredients
🍦Vanilla cream:
1 egg
100 g (2/3 cups / 3.5 oz) corn starch
150 g (3/4 cup / 5 oz) sugar
1 tsp vanilla
800 ml (4 cups / 28 fl oz) milk
After the cream has cooled, mix it with 100 g soft butter
🍰Dough:
5 egg whites
a pinch of salt
100 g (1/2 cup / 3.5 oz) sugar
5 egg yolks
200 g (1 1/2 cups / 7 oz) flour
🍋Zest of 1 lemon
5 g (1 tsp) baking powder
Baking pan 18x28 cm / 7x11 inches
Bake for 25 minutes at 180 °C / 360 °F
Assemble the cake as shown in the video
Leave the cake in the fridge for at least 2 hours
Powdered sugar (optional)
