- Project 06 recently had a new release for Silver the Hedgehog. So now Sonic, Shadow, and Silver's stages are all complete, and since I skipped out on the game for the color challenges, I played this entire mod!

Hearing him say "You just can't fix sonic 06" every time he messes up and makes a skill issue is so frustrating because this project is actually really good and does so much for the game. Most of this video he just has absolutely no idea what he's doing and has no reference for how good of an improvement this over the original so he just ignores stuff like the new intros and new mechanics that make it easier to playlike being able to speed up on rails or tails having a new tail swipe attack that makes it easier to kill enemies. I just wish he'd read the Manuel that comes with the game so he'll know what's new💀
I love his commentary tho he's funny
I don't think it's a skill issue to say that the game still doesn't have momentum

As someone who has played the game and 100%'d it, every issue other than the camera freaking out on occasion, is a skill related problem. Also P-06 is a unity remake, not a mod. That's what legacy of solaris is and as good as that mod is, it simply cannot compare to what P-06 changes, other than the sheer amount of content LOS offers.
Watching people play this game and just not press all the buttons to figure out all the characters moves is frustrating. Like he never used Shadow's chaos powers once. He never used Sonic's gems. He never used Silver's new abilities. He didn't use the new attacks some of the amigo characters have
It's hard to really appreciate the game when you don't make use of these new abilities
The game breaking and being unfinished, isn't a skill issue. Flying off scripted sections, falling through solid ground, and having little control over your movement, are not skill issues.

Just a couple things
1) It's no longer just him working on it, he's had a team working with him for awhile now
And 2) It's not a mod, this is a remake from the ground up.
saying its a remake from the ground up is a lie. that would imply that they remade the levels from scratch, the animations, the physics, etc. which the creator and his team did not do. don't spread misinformation.

@@jenerossitea9247Other than the levels, many of the animations and the entirety of the physics have in fact been recreated from scratch. Even in the levels most of them have had both minor and major tweaks.
Ok, while one can understand the perspective, it's still infuriating that he blames the levels for his lack of knowledge when he could've informed himself in so many ways, most notably the P-06 Manuals that come with the download... like, yeah, this was a blind run and all of his prior experiences were with the Retail version of Sonic 06... but as he complained so much about Silver, it baffles me how he didn't figure out he could really just stomp the ground when there are many enemies and kill them all in the blink of an eye by literally crushing them with his power, since that WAS a thing in the original game... and basically, depending on boxes and projectiles is what makes Silver feel so slow, and the scarce use of the Teleport Dash can also make him feel slower regarding movement (even though this Silver is already faster here)... I can understand preferring Shadow, he's just cool like that, but not even Shadow was used to his full potential... no Chaos Boost, no Chaos Snap, no Chaos Spear (for the most part), and no Chaos Blast... this was an eyesore, for as much as I think he's a funny guy-
Honestly I just wanna see Bathaniel going back to Retail 06 for him to realize how much the game actually improves BESIDES movement alone.
I feel like it’s a skill issue for him and he just sucks at the game just to prove a point that Sonic 06 is still bad no matter how good the controls and graphics are

A few things I just wanna say about project 06
>This is not a mod it was made from scratch copying 06 but making everything better
>In the speed sections you can ring dash to go fast
>In the settings you can change the ui, what homing attack or spindash you want etc.
>The intro sequences to every level is new
It's kinda funny how he does not know how to kill enemies with Silver's Psychokenisis, lol
Chaos X really should consider adding new tutorial options. People not knowing some certain abilities kinda hampers the experience. Lol.
There was an entire manual included with the download, he just decided not to read it.

@@cosmicjam205Name one other game you've played where you're forced to read the manual to figure out the basic controls. We aren't in the NES era anymore that should just be in the game.
Personally I don't mind the huge amounts of enemies, because the combo system is fantastic. You get more points the more enemies you kill in one chain of attacks without touching the ground, and if you use Sonic's bounce attack or Shadow's chaos spear (projectile attack) to bridge the gap between groups of enemies, you can clear out a ton at once. If you do that, the game gives you HUGE bonus points, which makes going for S-ranks very satisfying.
He clearly forgot all about the Chaos Boost. He didn't tap into it ONCE. Such a shame he didn't discover how the improved Snap and Blast attacks makes the combat much more fun and go by even faster. If he just pressed the circle/b button he would have learned Silver has a projectile that helps when there's no objects, Blaze has a new claw attack and Amy's invisibility was replaced with a hammer swing that's better than the one in Adventure
He actually did use silvers projectile, just not very often.

This guy literally triggered me, he says the game cannot be fixed while not even trying to discover all the new additions Chaos made in P-06, All the gems remade, the mach speed when light speed dashing in rings in mach speed sections, the fact that he just presses jump button with shadow and doesn't even try chaos abilities at all.. And for silver god i ain't gonna even talk about it. If you replay this game just test everything aswell. And stop saying "Can't fix 06' because so far it is way more playable than Vanilla Forces. Also this game is NOT a goddamn mod, the game is remade from the ground up with Unity, ChaosX has remade almost the entire game all by himself.
Maybe it COULD all be fixed, but not the way it currently is. No matter what improvements are made, it's still vanilla 06 at its core, and the fundamental problems with the game are still there, like no proper rolling physics.

@@Mifuyuu_ I've seen several mods of different stages in Project 06, and they only highlight how slow and boring the game still is. Just yesterday I watched someone do City Escape, and it was dreadful. Sonic does not gain any speed rolling downhill, and the grind rails still don't have balancing to go faster also. They along with loops are still glorified cutscenes.
If anything I was more impressed with the time I saw Wave Ocean in the SA2 Engine.
@@AkameGaKillfan777 You cannot compare Adventure Serie games and this game, they have way way too different engines and this game is much much more platforming than Adventure games. What i mean by that is there are a lot of parts where for example in KDV you just jump from ropes to get higher etc. You are comparing like... KDV and City escape, like... No ? Just no ? It's like comparing the taste of a Crepes and pancakes... THEY'RE NOT THE SAME nor is their recipe. And there are tricks in speedrunning which increases your max speed overall, learn how to use them and you'll see that the game isn't that borin'.
@@Mifuyuu_ I can and I will compare them. One is fun, the other isn't. I'll stop comparing them when people stop claiming it would've been the best Sonic game ever without glitches, ignoring the other issues baked into the core that were not as prevalent in the Adventure titles.

That's not a mod. It is a full recreation of S06 on Unity with bug fixes, improvements and some cut content brought back
Project 06 is not mod, it's a remake made with unity engine.
As someone who has plays P-06 fairly frequently and watches a lot of speedrun videos of it, watching Bathaniel play reminded me of my first playthrough of the game. Oh, the nostalgia!!

You didn't even use half of the moves, this would have been way more fun if you actually knew how to play the game.
This is a remake made in Unity, not a mod. Also you really should've read the manual pdf file, because you ignored a lot of really important moves.

This isn't a mod. This is a fangame built from the ground up by someone who NEVER PLAYED THE OG GAME.
He did play the original. Just not until several years into the project.
So that's why his game is so bad and uncontrollable.

ignoring information, injects a set expectation which affects ones experience, that leads to making assumptions and creates very bad opinons, and if it is then presented with that said information will be absolutely invalid, due to it being based off poorly influenced assumptions rather than using clear presented facts everyone has access to and is aware of.
I clicked on this video expecting i'd see much elation to see what was taken from S06 and how it has been changed, improved, and whats been implamented in adition to it as a whole in P06. I can understand not playing the S06 for years, resulting in not remembering almost anything about gameplay. But choosing to play a P06, which is a moded version of the game that has received numerous QoL imporvments and character mechanics being re-vamped, changed or even removed along with minor level design changes in the game, can cause someone to completely miss out on more than half of what the mod was setting out to allow the player to do, or in the case of this video, can cause the player to be so confused, and lost on what the changes even are that they'll have no clue as to how play more fluently or with ease which can reshape the entire experience. You played this mod with the simple belief that "They fixed S06" or "They made it playable now", and nothing else, is a really short sighted view on what a mod like this is even striving to do, and even then, there was information on this mod that is very crucial to understanding just what was done, what is necessary to know, to prevent a terrible or at least a poor player experiencefrom ever occuring simply becuase of those changes.
If you play P06 for another video, I implore you to acquire all the available information that anyone and everyone who downloads this mod has equal acsess too, to have complete understanding and to prevent a poor gaming experience.

Wish he could have got at least some of the upgrades. Definitely would have made the game play more fun and a bit faster

When you hit enemies with the projectile attack as Silver, you can then grab them with telekinesis. In an area with a bunch of enemies, try stunning a few with the projectile, grabbing them all at once, and then launching them at the others. When you're strategic like that, Silver's combat goes WAY faster. (And that's not even including the other moves and secret unlockable upgrades you can find.)

sonic, Shadow, and Silver all can get upgrades and new abilities that make them better

loved watching someone actually funny/entertaining play P-06 Silver update but omg felt so bad seeing him fumble around w/o having read the manual. It's crazy how much of a difference it makes especially for stuff like Shadow's combat.

Of course you can, because Sonic' 06 had true Potential (it ist Bad, still) and ChaosX was ohne of the very few people who saw it and He EVEN made it reality! So I would recommend you to give P-06 a Chance and give it man Playtroughs to get better at it. It makes really fun.

When you download the game, you should check out the game manual included in the folder. It tells you about moves that everyone has access to. The fact that you played through the entirety of shadow's story without chaos boosting a single time made me die inside

Unpopular opinion but sonic 06 is one of my favourite games the story was amazing yeah the gameplay was bad but the story and characters were really really good i hope sega actually remakes this game
I still like it despite its many flaws because you can see the potential that was there, also shadow's story is goated
Mephilis the dark is the best Villian ever in the franchise that's the only enemy that actually completed his goal he killed Sonic like that's just wild.
Sonic 06 had good and interesting ideas but because it was rushed it ended up being a really bad game. From the team of the game, Yuji Naka left SEGA in 2006 and he left with a couple employees, apart of that since Nintendo did the Wii less powerful than it's competitors and SEGA decided to divide the team in to to do 06 and Sonic and the Secret Rings, and they had contracts that they had to release 06 in 2006 and not later. Because of this, they had to scrap multiple ideas and kinda fix most of the bugs of the game at very last minute It would be great a reimagination of all the ideas that the team planned for Sonic 06 and an actually polished game, but there's a high chance that doesn't happen.
I feel like what they should do for a sonic Adventure 3 is come back with the concepts of 06 without Elise and Final Fantasy Style Eggman and of course make the ending fit the timeline It would also be nice if they replace all the Elise moments with Amy it would probably be a success

I used to think Sonic ‘06 was the worst 3D Sonic game; even worse than Rise of Lyric and Secret Rings. And then I played this, and my opinions on Sonic ‘06 changed!
While the original port of ‘06 is still a mess, I have a new respect for it, as I can now see what Sega was going for, so if I was ranking the 3D Sonic games, I would now rank it above Rise of Lyric, Secret Rings, and maybe even Shadow the Hedgehog.
Watching this video is like watching that one IGN video of Sonic Unleashed XD

Sorry if there is anyone against this type of comment, but thinking about Sonic the Hedgehog also has me thinking about one of my biggest wishes as well. I wish Silver had another best friend in the original Sonic the Hedgehog (2006). I wish Silver's best friend was a strong, kindhearted, and loyal mink named Trelon.
Yeah! Blaze was clearly shoehorned to be silver's best friend. She's like a completely different character in this game. Silver needs someone new that belongs in his future world like this trelon the mink character you made (I like that it's silver's prototype species). And not an already established character from a dimension that parallels and contrasts sonic's dimension.

The controls are still pretty janky but it's actually playable and there's definitely some good levels!

Nah even if Sonic 06 was finished, it would not be as good as P-06. It adds so much QOL improvements and new movesets for the characters

Bathaniel, since you didn't do the colour challenge in 06 (& made excuses that are just pathetic because there is emulation), like as far as i remember i said multiple times, you could just do the colour challenges on this remake instead

They won't, you need YEARS of knowledge and training to even qualify for applications, and the creator DOES NOT WANT TO WORK FOR SEGA.
