I found John thru the Pew Pew community but stayed for the Bible. Praise God for giving John such a large platform and following to reach other who don't know about the narrow path.
John, you're preaching reaches me in ways I've never experienced since I came to faith in 2012. I'm a former 82d Airborne paratrooper, and I need to hear God's Word in plain English, you're direct and concise, and not sugar coating God's word is the only way I'm able to understand it spiritually and apply it practically. I'm very thankful you've decided to heed God's calling into preaching, He has gifted you tremendously, and you're work will have eternal results. I'll be praying for you and your church.
Thank you Pastor John for bringing me back to the light you have given me a new fire for God I have been listening to all of your sermons and reading along with you I am new to you only about a week in I have gone to your youtube page and subscribed and went to your videos list and went to oldest to newest and have been going through 1 video at a time usually about 2 or 3 a day while reading along in my Bible "giving myself the homeschool high five" I love that by the way 😅. Again thank you for reawakening the fight in me you are truly blessed by God with the word. I told my grandmother something about this guy MAKES me WANT to listen and she said yes he has been blessed and his words are the truth he is VERY good. 🙏🏻🙏🏻🙏🏻😇😇😇
Thank you Sir, your message here spoke directly into my circumstances and dilemma!! Praise God for preaching against the "prosperity lies" that go completely against the message of "suffering" The confirmation I was looking for to rebuke the wealthy man looking to appease me by paying off my mortgage. He is Not my Saviour and I Trust in the Lord my God who did not send that man to save me!!
John, I love your teaching and what you do in the community. I've been in what you might call a "prosperity gospel church" for 13 years now and I'll say that you have grossly miss represented what is taught, at least in the one that I am in. We aren't taught that there will not be suffering, but suffering doesn't come from God reference John 10:10. Teachings about richness aren't about driving the newest BMW but rather the biblical reference for richness means to have a full supply. Meaning you will have food and shelter. Beware of the worship of suffering it will bring just as many issues as worshiping wealth. Again brother I love and respect you, but I have to call you out in this one respect God loves us and God is not evil to want us to suffer. When you blame God for suffering you are blaming God for the evils of man and the devil. We are called to truth. Man will react to truth in a way that causes suffering, but that is man made or devil made but not God made.
Pretty sure it’s the ESV version. I’m not sure if you mean new to Grace City, or new to the faith. If it’s the latter, I recommend finding a tool online that shows multiple versions of a verse at the same time, and when you come to a verse you aren’t sure about, read it in different versions. I find that to be very enlightening. But I 100% agree, using the same version as the pastor during service is MUCH easier to follow along. Hope this helps, May the Lord bless you, brother. 🙏🏼
I've never had a good example of a "false teacher"/ "false teaching" until recently. A veteran we both love and admire who loves Jesus keeps getting sidetracked with political issues. These issues always seem to escalate into "dang the man" / don't pay taxes with an open mind towards violence. It's clear as glass in Peter that we need to be rid of malice. During Peters day zionist were calling for revolution, but Peter was calling for peace. King Herod was awful, the Romans weren't so bad. If Israelites had listened to Peter then they wouldn't have went into exile for 2,000 years. What's the difference between the American revolution and the American civil war? Were they not both about freedom? I'm positive that in 1850 there were folks arguing that we need to be rid of a tyrannical federal government. If those young men had listened to the words of Peter 600,000 young Americans wouldn't have been consumed unnecessarily. - Clint Roughton

Find a calling and go all in for it! YES! Thank you for saying the truth - all of it - even the parts we don't want to hear.
This message should convict us! We should all be striving to be true messengers just like the true messengers in the Bible.
Awesome stuff! Praise God for what He is doing in/with yall's church!
Keep bringing it Pastor John. Listening in from Home base GCCWenatchee!

My pastor says if you find yourself offended first ask yourself if it’s true.. be honest people.
