This series is really good at twists. The banter for the first series wasn't a bad warm up. The train was teetering, and barely starting to come off the rails. Then, there was the Zabuza episode. It's probably the most popular episode on the Internet, for now. That's when things jumped the tracks... But then...
There was the Sand village episode. That's also when we learned that the fox-ninja has no tails. That's when the second hinge pin came out. One couldn't be blamed, if they reached the conclusion that the extent of the unhingement would just be how ray cyst the Sand brothers could be. Episode 7 really brought things up another notch, but then... Well, here we are. We learned that pretty much everyone is a freak, but everyone also has a back story. This series is doing a surprisingly good job of building the unhinged world & connecting the threads.
Hiruzen has no redeeming qualities in this series
