I have five baby chicks but now I have 4 chicks mye parents are telling me to give them to my grandparents but I really don't like to give them 😔😭😭😔😞 and I said I will give them after 1 or 2 months after because afterwards they can save themselves I treat my chicks like my babies I love them alot because they are my first pets

@Rafael Martins I understand. But the problem is I live in a very small apartment ( you know how we live in Hong Kong, right? ). We don't have much space for an animal bigger than a chick

Feed them meat, chickens are Omnivores maybe some bread. I grew up with chickens they eat worms, lizards, flies, cockroaches, bread, fish each other the little murder Dino's don't really give a shit.

I had been looking to increase my flock. I have 3 hens and a rooster. One of my hens is 8 years old and she still lays an egg every once in a while. When this Covid-19 happened, a lady on FB wrote that she would like to make an incubator and hatch some chicks so her children could learn about the life cycle of chickens. She lives in the city so she didn't want to keep the chicks. I gave her 8 eggs and she hatched out two. Then, she went out and purchased an incubator. I gave her 18 eggs and she just candled them and all of them are growing. I have the two chicks now and the children named them David and Daniel. ( I hope they are Danielle and Davina.) My chickens are the Ameraucana breed, and they lay blue/green eggs.

I had a chicken and it was in Mexico, I miss him :/ I always take care of him and loved him and my sisters were scared of holding my chicken xD it always followed me and I teach him how to go down the Stairs and now he does by his self :) plus I’m gonna go to Mexico in July something but I’m excited to see my chicken!!!! REEEEEEEEE I hope it remembers me! Idk if it will but my chicken got so big! First it was small like those chickens and years pass now it got big wow, me and my cousin were the ones who take care of him to be honest

We just got 2 chicks born on March 26, 2022, one a hen and one a rooster. Could you elaborate on what you were feeding your babies? And, did you train them to fly to you, or did they do that on their own because they were hungry and wanted the food you had in your hand?
We would like our babies to be sweet and not mind being picked up and hugged. They will be our pets and be treated with love and respect. They are currently in the house and I cuddle with them in the morning and evening so they will know not to be afraid of us.

@@ehanayaanrocks Airk & Olive come whenever they hear the food containers being rustled or if it's time for the humans to eat. When we are relaxing on the couch or we feel like a nap, they will fly up on the couch and roost on us. Airk will even start pecking to let us know he wants pets. He does a "whining" sound when he is disgruntled about the service around here, if he doesn't get food or water in a timely manner and has to wait, or if he doesn't get pets when he wants. Olive follows his lead but she's not whiney like him, she's more patient, but she is very aggressive when it comes to eating and jumps and snatches food right out of Airk's mouth. She's become quite agile at doing that. Anyway, they are happy chickens and we love how they've grown up. Every day is an adventure and we learn something new about them and their personalities. Airk did his first crow on July 4th and he's gotten very good at it since then 😊 We love them so much 💕

@@plxura Well, it turns out they are both Roosters 😕 Even though they have been raised, and live, indoors with us, they have become full blown.....Roosters. They aren't as friendly as we'd like but I talk to them sweetly and soothingly so they know we are not a threat to them and mean them no harm. They're not as cuddly as I would like but they like to roost on my husband when he's laying on the couch. When we let them out in the morning to free roam the house, the bigger one, Airk, does a "dance" while he's all puffed up, and will charge us so we've learned to stay back until he calms down (hormones, perhaps?). When he see's he's not able to take his frustrations out on us he'll turn and charge his sibling, Olyvar (formerly Olive before his trans-HEN-dering, lol), but Olly doesn't put up with it anymore and will fight back. Other than that, they love sitting and eating with us. They enjoy vegetables & pasta plus all the other things that chickens enjoy eating and doing. They're as spoiled as they can get, just not as friendly as I would like, but they're our kids now so they are here until death do us part. Thanks so much for asking ❤
