Just a little tip : A lot of highlights sites of many sports will put timestamps like you do to guide the viewers, but they have a little technique to avoid spoilers : In this case here, since you put 4 timestamps, people will know there will be 4 rounds, and that makes that at the 4th round, the most important one, when the suspense is at its peak, instead of not knowing who will win and being on the edge of their seat, they know for a fact that Devon Larratt already won, because he was 2-1 at the start of the 4th, and it's the best of 3. So only larratt can win at the 4th, there's no suspense for the viewers who saw the timestamps before watching the match. So on a lot of highlights sites for many sports, what they do is put a fake timestamps for the extra rounds, or overtime in sports that have them. For example for armwrestling, they would put a timestamp for the 4th and 5th round even if there wasn't any, and they would put a little note saying "here are the timestamps for the 4th and 5th round, if there are any", or something like that. @anonymous If you think some ammonia is illegal in armwrestling you're very blind. Guys are juiced to the gills, a little smelling salts is the least of your worries.
Deveon elevates the mind game during a sports competition to another level. His opponents are mostly built stronger then him and after 1:0 against Devon, you would think, that's it. But he uses the overlocked part of mind game more then any other sportsman I have ever seen. He has a strategy for the whole match and uses his endurance power for his advantage, the longer the match goes. Just incredible.
As long as the elbow is planted and the other hand is on the grip, i dont see any issues... If both giys have those 2 things done, then the rest of their options are just strategy
Its why Armwrestling will never be popular what's the fucking point if a guy half your strength can hang off you n bleed you out. What a joke who's running this sport.
People hating on Devon are missing the point that it's all part of his gameplan. To be fair Dave started all the bouts before the 'go' command but Devon knew after the 2nd round that Dave was all burnt out.
Brock Stapleton what a freaking tool , the king’s move is a high end move that requires a shit tone of pronation and hand raiser power , it’s very technical and has its weaknesses just like every other move , i can tell you don’t know what you’re talking about when it comes to arm wrestling , the king’s move is not just a defensive move , it can be used for offensive tactics as well , and devon has done more to the sport of arm wrestling that any arm wrestler has ever done , his matches alone pull more views than all other matches combined, and his name is known worldwide and recognized probably more so than brzenk , he became the first man to ever be both the right hand and left hand champion in the history of arm wrestling, he beat travis on left , and destroyed brzenk on right , something no man has ever done , Don’t talk about his contributions to the sport , you haven’t done shit to the sport of arm wrestling buddy
@@hassamkkkk5721 Only the causal or novice North American fans rate Larratt so highly. Anyone who has been interested in armwrestling for more than a few years knows that Brzenk has done far more for the sport than Larratt ever will. Larratt was also only ever a 'champion' in WAL, which for the rest of world outside of North America isn't anywhere near as prestigious as Zloty Tur /Nemiroff.
Before you watch this make sure you watch: "Heated Conversation With Devon Larratt, Dave Chaffee, and Michael Todd" It will make this match x2 more interesting. 👌🏻
Devon officially adopted the kings move against Todd Hutchings (and admitted it) and used it every round against him. Devon is too afraid to go straight up against anyone anymore. His time is over and he knows it. Watch him abuse the King's Move in every future match, as well as talk tons of shit at the table. He is just destroying his legacy is all he is doing now.
TheKessi1000 honestly I know many people who only watch armwrestling just to watch Devon. If he retired the sport would lose its most entertaining competitor. He’s like the Connor mcgregor of atm wrestling
@@xero7087 The sport has so many more stars on the rise and will continue to grow, even without Devon. Devon has been a great ambassador in his prime, but it's over and he needs to go out with grace, not a King's Move followed by a ton of shit talking and arguing with the ref before a match has even started. He likes to call it "his character", that's just a bullshit cop-out to make an excuse for his behavior (he will say whatever the fans want to hear and being in the Special Forces they are taught to lie and deceive to get what they need or want (psychology)). The European side of arm-wrestling is far more professional than in the U.S. Their venues are better, they advertise more, they put more money into their sport and their fan-base is actually real (whereas WAL looks like they pay people just to come to their events, the crowd never looks real/authentic, it's never a packed house). If this sport truly want's to grow, then we need more America vs Europe matches like they used to do. Europe has all of the dominating force right now and would honestly crush virtually all of the American side. BUT, that would create a reaction for America to become better, just like the 1980 Miracle on Ice. No King's Move would ever save any American competitor from Levan. This would make guys become far better than they are and that's how a sport grows.
What I love about arm wrestling community is the bond among the wrestlers after they're done on the table except a few like chaffe who can't gulp a loss to the point they quit their leagues. Such a beautiful site seeing Matt mask Devs little brother and M todd who flashed chaffe recently massage these guys
Devon is making the world wake up and realize there is a sport called "arm wrestling" that isn't just unintelligent thugs smashing up against each other. The competitors are intelligent, the gamesmanship and the showmanship make it incredibly interesting. Oh yes and Jodie Larratt is hilarious. The judge's wife is freeking hot.
Rewatching this after the Levan match. The round 1 of that match definitely reminded us of round 1 here. Though for Chaffee, he went straight to the pad, while for Levan, he was able to get the tiny stop before the pad. The final 0-6 result will often overshadow one of Devon's most impressive armwrestling feats.
@@TimmayKane The moment he wouldnt let go of his hand and kept squeezing it even when the ref is yelling at him to let go after he had won that pull is some dirty shit.
Hard not to be a Devon Larratt fan. He's just so intense! He literally won this match with his greater intensity. He wanted it more. No disrespect to Chaffee who actually looked to be the stronger man, but Larratt was not going to let that stop him. Great match!
if you listened to Devon's post-match interview at the end, he starts off by acknowledging that Dave is just straight up stronger, how he went to Europe to fight Denis and "got killed" whereas Dave has a win on him, and how he was willing to go the distance and "use all the ugliness that the sport allows" to win. He really does love the sport. I'm a big fan

That King's move is illegal, Devon's Humerus was in a negative angle. He also had his shoulder under the table while in a losing position. It was literally impossible for Chaffee to pin him while in this position. He should've been asked to stand back up according to WAL & WAF rules.
@@KevinLuWX True, but it states that you cant drop your shoulder below the level of the elbow pad in a neutral or losing position, which also happended.
thats dumb as fuck, even a simple toproll requires your chest to be some what under the table... if thats ever a rule then how you gonna pin someone besides a press or a hook
@Mike I don't get it, there is to much of that as opposed to just using shoulder, arm, wrist and hand. I get power can come from core and legs but getting so low then extending arm so it can be pinned I don't enjoy watching.
@@jessemurray3537 I haven't seen them but I just feel like both feet should be on ground, chest above table, shoulder above elbow. Of course peoples core and lower body strength is going to come into play but, body position should fall into some standards. I don't compete so my opinion is purely from a spectator point of view.
That's not why she wanted to call a foul lmao, Devon still wasn't listening and was clearly still trying something with his hands, that's why she goes "Really?" not because he looks at her.
Devon is complaining about how Dave is all the way across the table, it's easily observed at 12:10 . This gives Dave an unfair leverage advantage and Devon has to adjust his body for it.
Lol he wouldn't be able to budge either of their hand by even a bit if they don't want him too :) Things might change when the boy reaches his prime but then Larratt and chaffee would be way past their prime..
How is this sport not bigger??? HOLY SHIT THIS IS AMAZING. This Devon guy reminds me if the Golden generation 90s WWE wrestlers.....love his trash talking 😂😂
@Iron Bear thats what devon was doing, was making a mockery of it, I was glad she counted devons hand as being level with the pining level instead of his forarm, was funny to see devon mad for 30 seconds lol
Lmao the problem is the way Todd perform is absolutely trash. His elbow is almost out of the plastic pad and use his weight to pull his opp, waste their energy. Devon still have his arm on the legal place and use his power to hold back. That's why Devon still loses quickly while using the move but Todd doesn't. Moreover, Todd's angle is bullshit af. No matter how straight his arm is, his hand and forearm wont hit the table. The only way to beat him is press so hard that he feels hurt to force him to stand-up.
@@lesyanh7608 IDK at 17:18 Larratt is kinda using something close to the Todd bullshit angle, and he wins. I do generally agree with you tho, I do feel like Larratt uses the gentleman's version of the kings move

Gameplan to not wrestle, because that what tehy did
Brock Stapleton what a freaking tool , the king’s move is a high end move that requires a shit tone of pronation and hand raiser power , it’s very technical and has its weaknesses just like every other move , i can tell you don’t know what you’re talking about when it comes to arm wrestling , the king’s move is not just a defensive move , it can be used for offensive tactics as well , and devon has done more to the sport of arm wrestling that any arm wrestler has ever done , his matches alone pull more views than all other matches combined, and his name is known worldwide and recognized probably more so than brzenk , he became the first man to ever be both the right hand and left hand champion in the history of arm wrestling, he beat travis on left , and destroyed brzenk on right , something no man has ever done , Don’t talk about his contributions to the sport , you haven’t done shit to the sport of arm wrestling buddy
@@hassamkkkk5721 Only the causal or novice North American fans rate Larratt so highly. Anyone who has been interested in armwrestling for more than a few years knows that Brzenk has done far more for the sport than Larratt ever will. Toproll involves going under the table, but kings move is just on another level
@@TheKessi1000 yes he knows he's way too far out his prime but his shit talk is a character and he's said it already
I watch this match once every few months. No matter your opinion, this shit got eyes on the sport. Good luck to both dudes tomorrow.
