There is a visual cue for when the pounce is ready(slugcat will raise their rear end a little bit). Unless you are being actively chased down, it's best to slow down and wait for the cue
Monk has an upside that wuld be best utalized early- rep boost. pearls and lizard feeding are double rep boost. killings are only half rep drain. good for keeping the map peaceful for a few more cycles
Adds to the realism too. Animals irl probably woulden't just jump off ledge and kill themselves cause they took a wrong turn and don't wanna backtrack for an hour, and motivates you to avoid dying alot more.
Seeing the title, I kinda want to see a multiplayer game with all players trying to go from spearmaster spawn back to Outer Expanse, with unforgiving death, and see who made it until the end of the migration
