Albert Einstein, the man famous for unlocking the laws of the universe, once tried his hand at engineering. The result was the Einstein refrigerator, which was patented in 1930.

They were somewhat successful in the recreational vehicle market; running off heat rather than mechanical energy means they can be powered by electricity or propane so you can keep your groceries cold without needing electricity. Not very useful in a typical home but definitely handy when you're camping and might not have access to power.

I think it can be extremely useful in a home where you use solar energy as a heat source. Not to mention this device has no moving parts and therefore extremely resilient; Crosley icyballs still work almost 100 years after being made.
